[Personal] On my actual Wedding Day

This post is not so much to blog about my wedding and I won't be posting all the photos here either. Instead, the purpose of this post is more to thanks the people who've helped in the wedding.

Firstly, I would like to thanks the photographers Yong Hui and Yong Liang from MrBombastic Production. They were the first to arrive at my new house at around 6.30 am and they started taking lots of photos from the wedding items to the gown, etc. They were very experienced and won't make you feel uncomfortable with them around. Photos without the watermark @chewyjas are all taken by them. Thanks my friend, Q for introducing me and for the super friendly rate. I really felt I have underpaid them for their hard work and even do up such a wonderful video montage. Hope you are able to get more clients for your photography and videography service.

Second to arrive at my new house is Penny, my mum and my make-up artist and hairdo stylist. She did a great job transforming me within a short period of time and also helped tie up the back of my gown when nobody else knows how to do. Love the whole look and feel just the way it is. Thank you.

Thanks Shyan for waking up early and driving the wedding car.

Thanks Vaal Lim from Hotel Fort Canning for liaising the logistic from months back and helping to change another bigger room for us for our Tea Ceremony as the initial room booked was too small. This was done last minute and really appreciate the initiative. The hotel provides this cute tea pot set and complimentary Chinese Tea but MIL prefer the sweet red dates tea so the day before she was cooking the red dates tea herself.

Thanks my Bro for agreeing to be my Emcee and for making everyone present have a great laugh. I know how nervous it can be to have to speak in front of a room of 6 tables but he did a great job.

Thanks all the relatives for coming and glad to know that the lunch was up to standard and delicious. I tried all the courses and enjoyed the food very much myself too. Also thankful to those who have wished us and gave us their sincere blessings and sweets and cash, etc. Too many people to thanks.

Thank you for not minding that I'm not a perfect person, I'm not good at a lot of things, don't look pretty like a k-pop superstar and for standing by me and supporting my decisions.

I hope that many years down the road, we will still be appreciative to each other and have no regrets for the choice we made today. May we always be happy, healthy and lucky.

XOXO

[PERSONAL] Pre-Wedding Preparations and Pampering

"THE WOMAN came out of a man's rib, NOT from his feet to be walked on, and NOT from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal. Under his arm to be protected, and next to the HEART to be loved."

Posted this photo with this meaningful quote as caption some times back in April. That was also the time I started to panic after I realized so many preparations was not done. I'm just glad that I have many friends giving me advises from the ROM procedures to the preparations, etc. Just to share in this post some of the people and services I liaised with for my wedding.

Rental of Gown - BQueens

Recommended by Cindy. I rented this peach gown, comes with can can, head veil, necklace and earrings for S$400 from BQueens. They also have suits for guys to rent for S$50. I visited their showroom at Ubi Road somewhere in April and at that time, I only wanted to try the short gowns but all didn't seems to look nice on me. Then, I spotted someone wearing this and thought it looks simple and nice, so I tried it on and love it on my first try. Many asked me how come I don't have a white gown, but who cares, it's my wedding, not theirs. Liaised with Valent, the lady boss who is a super nice and friendly lady. Thank you.

Bridal Car Deco + Hand Bouquet + Corsages + Headpiece  - @myhanginggarden87

I found her from Carousell. I've actually shortlisted a few other sellers but I felt that this seller is the most sincere and replied the promptest to whatever queries I have. We have a nice chat and she makes me feel very comfortable to buy from her even though we have to pick up everything all the way in the east side of Singapore in Tampines. Total cost S$189.90 and she also used her hubby's car as example on how to do the bridal car deco. Thank you. The flowers used are not fresh flowers but fake flowers and they are now sitting in my closet. Should I sell them? Anybody would want to buy second hand bouquet or bridal car deco?

Manicure  - CL'athena Nails Salotto

I visited them before so I trust that they can do a good job for me. So I did my Gelish manicure there. Again, I go for a simple design without bling bling add-on and if you realized, the colour matches my gown and nail colour so that it won't be so obvious even if my nails have grown longer. Thank you. Paid S$55 for this.

IPL - STRIP SINGAPORE

I signed a package from them for my IPL underarm and the result is amazing. I actually didn't need to go back for a few months already. So when I called them up, they say my package has already expired but they will renew it for me. So thankful for this. I went to the outlet at The Cathay and they provides very nice hot chocolate with marshmallow. Just that the outlet here can hear the loud arcade music playing in the background. Can't remember how much I paid for this already but luckily it was bought when I felt I was richer previously. Now, I have to be more mindful of how much I spent. They also have some referral program so if anybody wish to get the benefit of the referral program, please quote me, so we both get some benefits together. Hehe.

PS: Everything in this post is paid for and nothing is sponsored. Got into a bike accident today, the day before the actual wedding. The bike banged into a white Volvo at the AYE exit of Clementi Ave 6. Thankfully, I'm wearing my jeans jacket so I only got blue black on my arm which is not obvious but my knee suffered a bad scald from the engine pipe. Thanks to the driver who drove us back home despite the accident. Many says it's because couple cannot meet each other the day before the wedding, so this is like bad luck but actually is cause we both are too exhausted. We meet to do up the Ikea DIY cupboard since will be taking photos at the new house and also to discuss about the table listing as well as our speech and the schedule. All very last minute again.

[OC WEDDINGS] Grand Food Tasting III by Orange Clove at Sky Garden

OC Weddings by Orange Clove Catering held their iconic event, Grand Food Tasting III for couples who are planning for their big day.

The event was held at the Sky Garden, fifth floor of the iFly Building at Sentosa, Beach Station, and the timing is just right for the both of us, so I paid $19.90 for two pax to attend. I've took quite a few beautiful photos there so I've decided to do up a post for sharing.

Brown and Cony loves good food and a picturesque venue and we hope to find a cozy venue to cater for a small and intimate group. I love the Sky Garden as the venue but couldn't agree on the package deal which I will share later so we didn't sign on any package here yet. Also because we didn't have a confirmed date, which we later agreed to set it on next year June after some discussion there.

LOVE this LOVE in block letters. This is from Singapore's largest wedding props rental - I've followed them on instagram @IMPERFECTIONSG and I love their unique and eye catching props.

OC Weddings has a total of four beautiful thematic wedding buffet set-up to choose from:

#1 Memoirs of Spring - For the exuberance and nature-loving bride. Immerse in the land of greenery and growth in a tropical spring paradise setting.

#2 Swanlake Chandelier - Serenading the bride with this melodious theme. It's a symphony of dreams with pearl-like SwanLake Chandelier.

#3 Crimson Romeo - Crimson Romeo's passionate shades of red highlights the deepest meanings of true love and devotion. It's a tales of romance and passion.

#4 Ocean Nightingale - This is tonight's theme. Be enchanted in a Garden of blue and let your whimsical dreams come true as the nightingale sings 'Happily ever after'.

Brown and Cony enjoying the buffet spread.

Appetizer and some desserts. OH, I love their macarons! While we were having our desserts, one of the wedding specialist assistant came over to brief us on what to expect and the costing. With the tie-up, the Sky Garden venue cost $4,500 provided we pick one of the wedding set-up catering theme which minimally have to cater for 100 guests. Otherwise, it would cost about $6,000 just for the rental of the whole Sky Garden.

How the outdoor area looks like. Photos taken at around 6.50 pm without filter, just a little bit of brightening. It's a bit hazy that day thus have the dreamy effects.

Wedding favors they provide.

Riddle of Love as the dessert corner. One of their set up too.

Dessert Bar Showcase.

Left my jacket at home and the air-condition indoor was so cold I kept sneezing non stop so we went outdoor and glad we did cause we managed to catch the Wings of Time show.

Amazing water and fireworks display unfold before us!

We had more food to eat for the night with some light bites as well as chili crab with buns and satay from the two live stations that opens up.

Instant prints form @twoeyessg . I find the instant print photos a bit too small though. Haha, we were holding the Mr Right and Mrs ALWAYS Right signage. Overall, it was a nice experience even though we didn't commit ourselves. Look forward to attend more wedding events and such.

[HFC WEDDING] Hotel Fort Canning - Weddings in the Park Showcase

Weddings in the Park is a signature wedding showcase event by Hotel Fort Canning. I paid S$38.00 for both to enter.

The perfect photo of this award-winning heritage colonial building, set within the lush greenery of Fort Canning Hill. Just recently I met up with a friend who loves this hotel so much so I decided to gather back the photos I took at their wedding show and write up this post. Anyway, this venue is also the decided venue for my solemnization. What I like about this place is how they are able to offer a range of indoor and outdoor options for different purposes and they are rather flexible with the minimum number of tables too. We opted for just three tables initially but have now increased to six.

TOURING OF THEIR ROOMS

Deluxe Room overlooking the greenery view.

Premier King Room comes with an exclusive balcony.

Studio Suite which has a separate living area equipped with a sofa and TV for extra privacy. The unique point is that the bathtub is a stand alone out of the bathroom and is located just beside the bed.

Governor Suite with a sized of 90sqm, it has a large living room and a separate meeting room for meetings and conferences.

TOURING OF SOLEMNIZATION VENUES

Sundeck facing the swimming pool. Not too ideal for Singapore's hot weather. I think I will melt.

Living Room on the second floor with a beautiful floor-to-ceiling window panel which is just next to Jasmin Room and can be opened up as an extension.

Jasmine Room also features the floor-to-ceiling windows that offers a panoramic view of the tree-tops. Again, the size of the venue can be customized accordingly to individual's need.

Garden Terrace is so lovely but again considering the weather and extra costs just for this venue, we decided against it. Guess if it's night time, it would be super romantic.

The Glass House is where we finally decided to hold our wedding lunch at. Big enough to hold up to 8 tables. The bar area beside would be the solemnization area. There are lots of other ballrooms and terraces that we have not yet explore. For more information, do visit Hotel Fort Canning's official website.

REFRESHMENTS

Love these yummy food!

WEDDING SHOW BY THE LOUVRE BRIDAL

They say that in a wedding, the women are the main character and the guy is merely a supporting character which is so true. Look at the different designs and colours for the bride but when it comes to the groom, it's only just black, grey, white. Boring.

INSTANT PHOTO PRINT BY EDMUND PHOTO

CUSTOMIZED COOKIE BY SUSUCRE

Sasucre provides customized cakes and dessert table if you need. All their products are hand-made from scratch using high quality ingredients and European artisan recipes.

FENGSHUI TALK BY 6CHARMS

AUSPICIOUS GOLDEN SPOON + FORTUNE COOKIE BY 6CHARM

MOCK WEDDING BANQUET SET UP

WEDDING FAVOUR + GUEST BOOK + RED PACKET BOX

SNAPCHAT SELFIES

Ending this post with some pretty snapchat filter taken while waiting for the lucky draw which we didn't win.
