[FOOD] Little Sheep Hotpot Opens Second Outlet at Orchard Gateway 小肥羊火锅餐厅在 乌节路开第二间分行

No Signboard Holdings Ltd. opened the second outlet of Little Sheep Hotpot restaurant in Singapore, at the basement of Orchard Gateway with a seating capacity of 110 diners on 11 November 2019. Their first outlet was officially opened at One Fullerton, check out my previous blog post here for the write up.

Commenting on the opening of the 2nd Little Sheep Hotpot outlet in Orchard Gateway, Mr Sam Lim (林荣森), Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of No Signboard said, "We are excited about the opening of our second outlet. After the launch of our first outlet at One Fullerton near the iconic Merlion statue, we have decided to setup the second outlet in a prime location at Orchard Gateway to capture a healthy balance of local and tourist footfall. We would like to thank our business partners and our valued customers for their ongoing support in our Little Sheep Hotpot restaurants. Singapore continues to be a major market for our Group, and we will continue to explore other opportunities both locally and regionally to expand our business."

Hotpot is something I can't resist and the main essences of a hotpot is none other than the broth base and meat which Little Sheep Hotpot can totally meet the standard and satisfy my taste bud. The combination of this delicious broth base with the mutton from the Inner Mongolian grasslands is perfect.

We were served with the dual flavour pot consisting of the signature soup and the spicy mala soup to cater for the different preference in this big group setting. The signature soup is made up of 36 different spices such as the goji berries, star anise and ginseng while the mala soup is bound to give you an additive spicy kick from the chilli oil and peppercorn. With such flavourful soup, one doesn't really need to go for the dipping sauce.

30 seconds is all it takes to cook the thinly sliced lamb meat in the hot soup. The lamb meat is extremely tender and juicy so even for me who don't usually eat lamb meat, I can actually accept the lamb meat here as it doesn't really have the gamey taste.

A flatlay photo where most of the food is already in the soup. We were too hungry to wait for all the dishes to be served.

The rest of the dishes served.

Spotted the Little Sheep Hotpot Mascot from far! He came dancing in to the 'Kungfu Fighting' song. Super cute!

I actually had a hard time finding the restaurant when I was at Basement 1. Turned out, I had to go up to level 1, look for either Lovisa or Swatch and take the escalator down from there. This escalator would bring you straight to The Little Sheep Hotpot restaurant which was quite isolated from the rest of the shops at basement 1. Many thanks to Jessie for guiding me as I was really lost.

Congratulation to the 2nd outlet opening! To sum it up, Little Sheep Hotpot is one of the better alternatives to the hotpot scenes in Singapore as well as a great place to get your supper cravings fixed in Orchard. They open until 4am daily!  Head down to The Little Sheep Hotpot for a pot of rich broth as well as a plate of superb meat!

[PROMOTION] LITTLE SHEEP HOTPOT VALUE SET LUNCH @ S$15.80++ 小肥羊火锅餐厅优惠午餐促销

Lunch time to me is very precious as it's not only just a break from work to eat but also the time I used to catch up with friends as my evening time is usually spent with my girl. Once again, I'm back here at Little Sheep Hotpot and this time they had introduced a new promotion for their value set lunch! The first time I am here was for their opening launch event and you can read more from the blog post here.

Getting to the restaurant is not a problem as it's just a short stroll away from the raffles place MRT. I could even enjoy the scenery while walking to the place. This was the scenery I had as I walked from my office and back again.

I was the first to reached and the friendly staff there was quick to greet and usher me to an empty table. However, after some clarifications, we realised that the host had actually reserved a private dining room for us. I was pleasantly surprised to find the table ready and set up when I was lead into their private room. Previously during their opening launch, we had a big crowd and were seated at the main area thus I didn't even know they actually have a private room like this. With just the few of us, the ambience of the private room was great and privacy gave us a cozy and warm feeling while we enjoy the food.

When everyone had reached and settled down, we ordered our individual soup base through the iPad.  It was priced starting from $8 a pot, depending on which soup base you choose. For me, I ordered their half signature clear soup and half mala soup to get the best taste of both flavours. The taste of the soup was further enhanced once the hotpot ingredients were added. It came with free refill too and the staff were attentive enough to top up the soup for us.

Little Sheep Hotpot had gained a reputation for hot pot without dipping sauce as their broth base are rich enough with an assortment of fresh ingredients such as goji berries, jujubes, black cardamon pod, ginseng and herbs. However, if you would like to enjoy their unlimited condiments, sauces, fruits and desserts, you just need to top up an additional of $5.

We were served with the different choices of meat and you can tell the meat were fresh and not frozen. Perfect slices of meat.

Other than the meat, the hotpot ingredients had a good mix of greens which looked presentable and neat in this 3-tier rack. It was more than enough to last us throughout the 2 hour session. Also, since all the ingredient shown was part of the set lunch and was served together, I did not have to waste the time to order additional ingredients. Instead, I spent the time to enjoy chatting with my friends while cooking my meal.

Little Sheep had always adhered to the priority of choosing "natural", "healthy" and "rare" selected
ingredients. Its unique pairing, a pot of exceptional broth and a plate of superb meat, is what makes
and continues the legend of the Little Sheep Hot Pot.

. I really enjoyed the company of Meryl and Jessie, my two blogger friends. We enjoyed our food and also the nice catch up. Do head down before their lunch promotion ends.

[FOOD] No Signboard Launches Little Sheep Hotpot At One Fullerton 小肥羊火锅餐厅在新加坡开幕了

The latest franchise ventures of No Signboard Holdings Ltd. is the Little Sheep Hotpot, a very well known hotpot restaurant from China with over 280 outlets across China and international markets including the United States, Canada and Japan.

I love eating hotpot and was thrilled when I received the invitation to be at their opening launch. I am even more excited when I found out that my friends will be there too. Eating hotpot with friends is the most enjoyable activity for me as we could chat and eat all day. It also makes the food tastier. I met up with Jessie first and took a leisurely stroll along the picturesque waterfront hub of One Fullerton where Little Sheep Hotpot is located.

We arrived quite early and had a great time taking photos with friends and the mascot. There was also a big board for us to pen our well wishes.

According to legend, the origin of hotpot dining can be traced back to more than 1,000 years ago where the Mongolian horseman would go hunting in the daytime and as night fall, they will turn their helmets around to fill them up with water and place them in the embers to simmer before adding meat and vegetables. As the Mongolians travelled throughout China, they began to create their own unique dishes by adding the local ingredients along the way.

For Little Sheep Hotpot, it was founded in 1999 in Inner Mongolia, China. Their delicious broth base is made up of an assortment of fresh ingredients and spices such as goji berries, jujubes, black cardamon pods, ginseng and herbs. They are also well known for their Mongolian lamb delicacies thus the name of the restaurant.

Each of us was assigned a table number, and luckily, Jessie, CK and myself was on the same table but Meryl was not. Fortunately, the fourth person was kind to exchanged with her. With the four of us in a sitting, we had a merriest time catching up while attending the event together just like the old times.

The event was well prepared and setup for. We have deejays from the radio station as the host, the Chief Operating Officer of No Signboard gave us an official opening speech and the appearance of the Little Sheep Hotpot Mascot brightened the already exciting scene. Look at how he mingles and pose to the camera!

Each of our table had a twin split hotpot, their Signature Clear Soup and Mala. The other soup flavours are the Tomato and Mushroom soups.

Cheers with beer and the design of their bowl and plates matches their theme very well.

The first dish served was the 3-Tier Signature Lamb Platter 羊关三叠. Different parts of the lamb was served on each tier with the shoulder on the top, side ribs on the middle and mixed parts on bottom. Everyone agreed that the second tier was the best as it had the least gamey taste and had a better chew-factor. The shoulder meat was made extremely thin thus we cooked it with shabu shabu method.

The other signature dish is their Lamb Kebab which is grilled and mixed with the spices. I would say it was really very well marinated. They had a open kitchen concept and we could watch the chef skillful performance through the glass window.

The restaurant seems to cater for seafood and red meat lovers as the choice for chicken is limited.

To mark the auspicious opening of Little Sheep Hotpot. Lion Dance performance was included. Luckily, I am almost done with the meal when the lion dance began so I set off to take some photos and video.

After eating for a while, we ended our the meal with some fruits and ice cream. Everyone can get a chance to twirl the ice-cream using the machine and although no one in our groups is adventurous enough to make an ice-cream tower, I think they did a great job with the twirl while I did the photo taking.

I will end my post wishing Little Sheep Hotpot a great success and I would return with my family as my husband loved red meat.
