Me and my purple short hair

Hello! I know, I know, I've been telling everyone how much I wanted to keep my hair long and I did tried. The last I went for a hair cut was one year ago, somewhere in December. Lol. Facebook keeps all the tracking. Now my hair is finally consider a little bit long and I decided to cut them away again. I think I really need to wear a wig if any events (like someone's wedding) need me to have long hair. Haha.

That's me, after the hair cut, still looking good. Satisfied with my short hair. I can give you many reasons why short hair is good. It's easier to wash, easier to maintain, no need to worry about the tangles, no need to tie up, when I wear helmet, no need to scare my hair will anyhow fly.

The only regret about having short hair is I can never see myself tying my hair in a braid like this anymore. I think I will look nice in a braid like this.

After that, the hairstylist asked me if I wanted to colour my hair, I say fine. It would be great to have some colours on my hair. She immediately suggested purple. I was reluctant at first of course. Purple?!

What if I looked like this?? It was only after some assurance from her that it's not gonna be the whole head and it will not be so obvious that I agreed.

Before my hair became purple, it was bleached to this golden yellow colour. OMG! Too scary.

After about one an half hour, everything was done.

And this is the final result. I never thought I would go for purple hair at all in my life, but I just did. It's just one side of my hair only.

Selfie.

Word of advice if you are going to colour your hair in crazy colours like blue, pink, purple or green is to make sure your towel and pillow casing are of dark colours. Lucky mine is in purple too.

The colours will still ran off for a few weeks. See how my hand is stained with the purple colour. Lastly, this is not a sponsored post. Paid about $200 for everything. Considering the last I went for a hair cut is last year, I guess it's ok for this price. All done at X'pect Studio at Liang Court. How I ended up at this salon is another story. Haha.

Saizeriya for Lunch + Cosmo Charity Blowout at Evolve Salon

10 Nov 12 : Headed to Saizeriya at Liang Court for a value for money lunch. Since I'm the only one who've neither heard nor visited this restaurant before, Jessie and Terence naturally became my advisor as to what to try and which dish is nice. I had minestrone soup ($2.90),  Mushroom Meat Sauce Spaghetti ($5.90) and Chicken Stew ($3.90) and I'm very satisfied with this meal. Their drinks are free-flow and cost $2.80 per person. No service charge to add on to the bill. Full review on OpenRice here

Jessie's favourite escargots for only $5.90!!! :O:O:O According to Jessie it's her must-order dish. Although I love to eat, I'm not an explorer of food, unless special reason, like food tasting purposes.

After our lunch, Jessie and I headed over to Evolve Salon for the Cosmo Charity Blowout event while the guys were left to do their own things.

For $15, we are entitled to a 15 minutes wash-and-blow session either by a Cosmo team member or a DJ from Power 98FM, blowdry by a professional Evolve stylist and a Sunsilk goodie bag worth $55.30! Not only that, 100 percent of our $15 goes to Women For Women International (WfWI), a non-profit humanitarian organisation that helps and support female survivors in post-conflict countries such as Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Camwhore a bit since I'm wearing a new tank top (gift from Thailand) today and there's nothing much to do while waiting for the hair stylist to come and blow dry my wet hair.

Camwhore again while waiting for Jessie to come out from her shampooing session! I love the whole effect of how my hair looks after the blowdry session. Just a simple blowdry session and I see the big difference. Thanks to the guy who did my hair. I'm too shy to take photo with him. If only my hair stays this way every time I wake up. So, everyone, don't be lazy like me okay? Must maintain and style your hair before going out cause hair frames up our face. I'm lazy and always in a rush so sometime I didn't even comb my hair. Worst is when I'm stressed up at work, my hair will stands up and become very messy.

Since I did not managed to take any photo with my own stylist, I spend the rest of the time taking photos with Jessie's one!!! He's super friendly and didn't mind when we asked to take a photo with him. Nice and friendly. Thanks! I forgot his name again but I felt that he has got the style that of Anthony Neely. What do you think?

So, that's us after the whole session. We got to bring back so many Sunsilk products. Super happy. Lots of good karma. Doing good deeds and getting something good in return back.

Close-up shot of Jessie and I cause we looks and feels great!

End my post with another photo of me taken at home. Tiny hairs start to stand up already. Haha.   Thanks for reading. Bye!

Groupon deal : L'Oreal Fiberceutic Hair Treatment + Wash + Blow + Cut at COLORS by Just10 at Queensway Shopping Centre

Yes, I can't resist buying deals again. My hair is getting long and messy so I bought this deal in Feb for a hair cut, wash, blow and treatment session. Available at 4 outlets, I choose the one just opposite my workplace at Queensway Shopping Centre so that I can just pop by after work. The other three were located at Orchard Central, Liang Court and Changi City point.

They pasted all these photos outside, making it look like those tattoo shop
This outlet at Queensway Shopping Centre is known as COLORS by Just10. It's the only budget salon of the Just10 group. So budget that they don't have a phone in the shop so no reservation can be made. They served walk-in customers and knowing that this coming Monday is my Company's photo-shooting day, I thought I should just make a trip down and see if the shop is open. Quickly take the above photo outside and was caught red-handed by the hairdresser inside. She came out and asked me why am I taking photo. I gave them my assurance that I was there to have my haircut and they faster get me seated.

This is the machine that supposed to make the treatment on my hair last longer.
Additional $18!! Whao~ inside was cold air and feels like a balloon.
Very much expected, all this cheap deals often comes with other additional costs that they will try to sell. Halfway done with my haircut, my hairstylist who initially was just chatting with her colleagues on some upcoming exam on their new products, suddenly started giving me advice on using some machine for my hair treatment. According to her, this voucher I bought only entitles me to a treatment which they will just apply onto my hair and let it stays for 30 minutes. I need to pay another $18 so that they can use a machine to ensure that the treatment get absorbed into my hair to make it last longer. Without using the machine, those treatment that was applied would be gone after I washed my hair. Seriously? I was like HUH!! =_=" $18 for her to on the machine for me! Very expansive electricity bill is it?! In the end, I still paid. Then, she continued to try to sell me their new products which is some mystical oil. Keep saying my hair very dry, got split ends, etc etc. Since when my hair got split ends? I know my hair better can. So I told her my motive of coming to a salon is so that she can help me cut off my split ends (if any) and show me. I stood my ground of not purchasing that bottle of mystical oil which I know I would just chunk it in my wardrobe. Overall the haircut was acceptable but there's too much pressures on paying additional costs.

Hair @ Work + Shopping at Bugis

Bought this deal at InSing.com
Hair At Work Beauty Salon Llp
11   Collyer Quay   #01-11   The Arcade   s049317
Tel:  62236543

Was on the lookout for great deals and this deal appealed to me. I actually bought it in October but have no time to redeem and used it. So my hair has been pretty messy for the past one hectic month. With December being the more relax month, I planned my schedule carefully and choose to try this out today. The timing is just right since later at night I will be attending a wedding dinner and also just nice for next week's NAPBAS.

This is the place. Honestly, I do feel a bit out of place here. I walked past another salon which seems to have more customers and also more younger patrons. Here, the whole place looks kinda empty with lots of older customers.

Well, this is me before everything starts. My layered hair looked messy.

Coloured my hair too. The hair stylist chose a colour that she told me would not be too bright and will have the natural effect. Sat there for the longest time ever. Luckily, was SMS-ing with Speishi (so pretty her blog) and browsing through some blogs to keep me occupied.

Waiting for my hair to dry.

Woohoo. Finally new hair style revealed. Just trimmed a bit. That's my hairstylist - Irene. What I liked about here is that they used organic hair colouring (Usual Price: S$80 for my hair length) so that my hair doesn't reek of those strong chemical smell after the whole process. They also used a minty and cooling shampoo which makes me feels very comfortable and refreshed when she was washing my hair. Best of all, no hard selling! No hard selling of any of their products, no requirements of purchasing packages or whatsoever. Great and my hair feels smooth and smells nice!

Hot and Crispy crepe~ Yummy. Give me energy as I shopped Bugis Street.

I'm shopping for dress for NAPBAS. Saw this very nice evening dress but too bad, it's too small and the cutting is not for me. In the end, I bought another same colour tube dress for S$ 29.90 as they are having a Christmas Promotion. Erm, no photo as it would be a surprise when I wore it. Hehe. Bought quite a lot of things today. Bought hairband, hairclip, earrings, necklace, dresses. Shopping alone is good, I see what I want to see, walk where I want to walk, rest when I feel tired.

After shopping at New Bugis Street, walked over to Bugis Junction to shop for Christmas presents and also to take some Christmas photos. I'm simply just killing time for later at 7pm I would be attending Jermaine's wedding at Intercontinental Hotel which is just beside Bugis Junction. Will blogged about it soon in my next post. Tata for now!
