[EVENT + GIVEAWAYS] Cartoon Network Animate Your Life at Bayfront Plaza

This school holiday, bring your kids to meet their favourite characters from Cartoon Network at the Cartoon Network Animate Your Life festival. 

For 16 days, starting from 26th May 2018 onwards, the Bayfront Plaza at Gardens by the Bay will be turned into an outdoor festival of fun with lots of inflatable obstacle courses, carnival games, giant bubble machine, creative workshops, and more. Let's take a look at the different sections inside.

POWERPUFF GIRLS ZONE

Enter the famous city of Townsville and soar with Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup on this giant trampoline ride! Notice the trampoline is built according to the Powerpuff girls theme colour of Green, Pink and Blue as well.

While you are there, be sure to check out the Cartoon Network art gallery, where a series of international artwork will be displayed in celebration of The Powerpuff Girls 20th anniversary. 

Cartoon Network has also partnered with local artist group, Band of Doodlers, to create a special Powerpuff Girls tribute.

ADVENTURE TIME ZONE

Step into the Land of Ooo with your favourite Adventure Time characters. 

Yay, we completed the maze featuring best buds Finn and Jake! Inside the maze, there is also a corner with Giant balls. The whole maze measures 64 meters long and 4 meters in height. Then, step into a magical Candy Kingdom with your favourite Adventure Time characters, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum and Lumpy Space Princess! 

BEN 10 ZONE

It's Hero Time! The Ben 10 watch (Omnitrix) is the best watch in the World. When Ben Tennyson harnessed the power of the Omnitrix, it can transform Ben 10 into 10 different alien life form to battle against the evil vilgax. At this section, get ready to navigate through a series of exciting obstacles courses. 

None of us like the Vilgax so we never take any photos with it.

WE BARE BEARS ZONE

This is the favourite zone of Rena. She kept pointing at them and saying "Bear Bear".

A photo in the We Bare Bear's cave that Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear call home! 

There's a colourful ball-pit containing 5,000 colourful ocean balls waiting for you when you slide down this log-ride inflatable slide.

Took lots of photos with these giant Bear Stack.

OTHER ACTIVITIES ZONE

We also had great fun at the Gumball Guardian Bubble Tower that blows out bubbles. Rena loves trying to catch the bubbles yet at the same time was afraid that the bubbles will burst and disappear. 

An interactive Animate Yourself booth where you can create your own likeness as your favourite character and print it on a t-shirt.

There is also a mix of exciting Carnival games by Uncle Ringo to test your agility, accuracy and skill. Each ride cost $5. Beside that, get a chance to learn more about Cartoon Network's first ever branded ship - Cartoon Network Wave. Designed for everyone who's young at heart, Cartoon Network Wave presents an immersive fun zone, giving you a first glimpse of adventures on-board the world's first toon vacation at sea. 

There is also a line-up of weekend workshops hosted by leading figures from the animation world primed to spark your creativity. The workshops will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday at 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm; and will teach you how to draw some of Cartoon Network's most loved characters, offer voice-over challenges and give you a chance to participating in make a stop-animation video. 

Be prepared for lots of great photo taking spot so go with a fully charged camera or phone. We really enjoyed ourselves there very much, thanks for the invitation to the media preview.

Cartoon Network Animate Your Life is co-presented by Prudential Singapore and Cartoon Network Wave, the soon-to-launch, fully-branded cruise liner. The event is also supported by Singapore Tourism Board's Leisure Events Fund, Official Radio Partner CLASS 95 and Supporting Radio Partner 987, and Official Multimedia Partner Singtel.

Cartoon Network Animate Your Life will open from Monday to Thursday 3pm - 9pm and from Friday to Sunday 3pm - 11pm. Games, mascot appearances and show screenings are also scheduled throughout the day.

Visitors can purchase same-day tickets at the entrance of Animate Your Life, or pre-order online at http://www.apactix.com/events/detail/cn-animate-your-life. Each full-priced Cartoon Network Animate Your Life child ticket allows one child aged 3-12 years who is a Singaporean resident free entry into either Flower Dome or Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay. This promotion is valid from 26 May to 1 July.

[OUTING] Blossom Bliss at Flower Dome - Gardens by the Bay

Cherry Blossom, a beautiful and precious type of flowers that only blooms in Spring has a tragically short life span of only about 2 weeks. Therefore, signifying the fragility and beauty of life.

This year, thanks to Gardens by the Bay, these pretty hues of pink and white were being imported to our shore again, specifically at the Flower Dome from 3rd to 24th March 17. Known as the Blossom Bliss floral display, I knew I had to check them out myself after my social media feeds are being flooded by the pretty photos of the Cherry Blossom.

It is an outing plus advance birthday celebration for my mom whose birthday is just two days away.

Simple Japanese inspired props and landscape for that perfect photo backdrop and I just realized there are actually so many different variety of Cherry Blossom. I thought at most only two or three but there's more.

Compared to the previous time I went to Gardens by the Bay, this time round I actually took fewer selfies of myself. Instead, I just want to enjoy and immerse myself in the cooling and relaxing environment. It's consider less packed on a weekday compare to weekend.

Bought the tickets for just a single conservatory to the Flower Dome, which does not include the Cloud Forest at $$10.80 each after a 10% discount from Passion Card Member. Also bought the shuttle service ticket at S$3 each because it would be a bit too crazy to walk under the hot sun.

Take note to dress up warmly as the temperature in the Flower Dome is much cooler than usual for the best blooms.
