[PIZZA HUT] Enjoy UNLIMITED slices of Pan Pizza at their Buffet Fiesta from 25 June to 26 August

With the overwhelming choices of food available, choosing a meal has become one of the toughest decisions Singaporeans have to make. To make things even more complicated, very often, our cameras got to "eat first" and we tend to spend so much time taking and editing those food photos just for our social media posts.

To counter this phenomenon, Pizza Hut wants to bring back the simple pleasures of actually enjoying a meal or spending time with families and friends in good conversations with their slice of piping hot and delicious pizza.

A "Slice of Simple" with the New and Improved Pan Pizza

With a survey gathered from more than 100 participants, as well as the intensive brainstorming within the restaurant teams of what an ideal pizza meant, Pizza Hut launches their new and improved Pan Pizza. After going through repeated product refinement and testing by the product teams, the all-new Pan Pizza versions of our familiar favourites such as the Hawaiian, Super Supreme, Pepperoni and BBQ Chicken now comes with a crispier crust, improved signature sauce and toppings that are filled closer to the edge!

Make Reservation for Unlimited slices of Pan Pizza at Pizza Hut's Buffet Fiesta

Personal Experience at the Pizza Hut's Buffet Fiesta

I was invited to their private pizza buffet at the Marina Square outlet whereby I get to taste all the iconic flavours of their new and improved pan 2.0 versions with my husband. It was great as I recall my very fond memories of how much I love their pan pizzas. The crust was soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The six available flavours for the pizza buffet are some of their most popular flavours which are Hawaiian, Chicken Supreme, Curry Chicken, BBQ Chunky Chicken, Meat Galore and Super Supreme. As the staff brought out the pipping hot pizza, you can choose whether to be served that particular flavour or to skip and try the next one. My favourite is the Chicken Supreme. The pizza buffet also comes with the Breadsticks & Soup of the day with 1 soft drink.

During the pizza buffet, we also get to meet the new GM of Pizza Hut Singapore, Paddy Rangappa who is a luminary authory and thinker with over 26 years in the food and FMCG business. Did you know, the first outlet of Pizza Hut was actually started in 1981 at Jalan Jelita? Now, Pizza Hut Singapore is the largest pizza chain restaurant in Singapore with 60 outlets.

Hurry and remember to book your reservation online for unlimited slices of thier simple and tasty pizza!

[CLOSED] ChewyJas's Blog 1st Giveaway Winners

Big thanks to everyone who have participate in my first blog's giveaway. I was so shocked to see the pageviews jumped up by almost 7 times yesterday which is the last day of the Giveaway, hitting an all time high of about 1,000 plus people viewing. Not trying to brag here, but I'm just keeping a record. Anyway, the pageview dropped to my usual standard again for today so there is also nothing to brag about. Lols.

All in all, I've received 8 entries but I can only pick 5 winners so for the other 3 readers who've participated, I've decided to give them a $10 Takashimaya voucher each. Sending out the confirmation emails shortly.

That makes EVERYONE A WINNER!!

By giving out the $10 Takashimaya vouchers to those who didn't win is a last minute decision. Bottomline is because I appreciate people taking their time and effort to join my giveaway. It's a very easy and simple giveaway, I posted on all my social media but not many actually take the time out to screenshot and email me, leave me nice comments on my blog. So I hope everyone is happy cause I don't like to leave people with disappointments, especially when they've written such great well wishes to me and lastly it's something I've learned from my boss and that is to be generous. The more you give, the more you will get back in return. I can't guarantee my generosity will stay the same for my next giveaway though. So thank you.

[New Product] F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu mixed juice

The last time when F&N introduced the new Fruit Tree Fresh No Sugar Added Red Grape Mixed Juice, I was so in love with that flavour that I'll always buy it over other drinks.

Now, F&N has came up with a new product, F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu mixed juice and I'm eager to drink it to find out its taste!

Don't be confused by its Chinese name 柚子 that we refer to as the pomelo. This Yuzu 柚子 (or better known as 香橙) is a citrus fruit originated in China which was later introduced to Japan and Korea whereby they are widely cultivated for three purposes, culinary, hot bathing and medicinal.

The Yuzu fruit has been gaining popularity in recent years even beyond the shores of Japan as it is found to be a wonderful source of antioxidants, that is beneficial to our health as well as skin.

F&N Fruit Tree Fresh brings the superior taste of Yuzu directly from Japan and all the goodness of the fruit, closer to home and make them readily available with its newly launched F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu Mixed Juice, the latest addition to the F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Juice range.

I bought two bottles of the Yuzu drink as I was out the whole day and have to replenish myself with lots of water and Vitamin C in order to stay healthy.

When I opened the bottle cap of the F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu Mixed Juice, I could smell its sensational citrus fragrance. I find the taste really refreshing, which is like a little bit of lemon or grapefruit and there's even real orange pulp bites in the juice to complete this unique taste sensation. Great thirst quencher.

Loaded with three times the amount of Vitamin C a lemon has, drinking a glass of F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu Mixed Juice everyday already meets our daily Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for Vitamin C. I read that the Yuzu juice can also be added to create a zesty cup of mojito drink too. Shall try it next time when I'm more free. So chill and grab that bottle of F&N Fruit Tree Fresh Yuzu Mixed Juice.

Let's channel our energy into Community Games Sports !

When was the last time you've go out and played some outdoor sports? I'm guilty to say that I can't even remember! During my free time, what comes to my mind is either food, sleep or the computer. Sports is usually the last thing that comes to my mind.

However, today I'm going to share about this club that the People's Association has launched since 2006. It was known as the Constituency Sports Club but renamed as Community Sports Club (CSC) in 2011.

Community Sports Clubs

The Community Sports Clubs (CSCs) are part of the People's Association (PA)'s network of grassroots organisations. The 87 CSCs are managed by volunteers who work with the PA to organise sports activities for the residents to promote social cohesion, racial harmony and community bonding.

These are some of the sports that they have form time to time, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Dragon Boat, Football, Netball, Road-run, Sepaktakraw, Swimming and Table Tennis. Yes, this is the platform to improve social cohesion and also at the same time make up for the physical well-being.

How to get involved

It's actually quite simple, just head down to your nearest community centre for more information.

Before you think that's all for my post, I would like to share this flagship program that the People's Association and the Community Sports Club is organizing, with the support from other Grassroots Organisations (GROs). Called the One Community Walk (OCW), it is a nationwide walking event with a twist.
The walk will flagged off on the same day at the same time within each of the 87 divisions. Each walk will cover a distance ranging from two to three km which is suitable for residents of all ages to participate.

Happening on 25 August 2013, please visit your nearest Community Club/Centre for more details. Let's walk together as one!

Some of the photos from the OCW 2012. Last year, it was held in conjunction with the Singapore National Games 2012 (SNG 2012) Baton Relay. Thus, the SNG Baton was seen in some of the photos. It made its way around each of the 87 divisions in Singapore through the help of about 20 baton bearers from each division.

“U PICNIC” IS BACK WITH A WHIMSICAL THEME

U Picnic 2013 by U Family

5 Oct 2013 (Sat)

Join the U Picnic 2013 by U Family at West Coast Park from 5pm till 9pm. (picnickers can check-in from 4.30pm onwards).

Following the success of the inaugural event last year, U Picnic returns this year with a whimsical theme that promises 'FOOD.FUN.EXPERIENCE' for the whole family!

Organised by U Family and supported by NTUC FairPrice, U Picnic this year is all set to attract and excites both children and the young-at-heart, with its dizzying variety of unique attractions whereby one can create or relive their childhood dreams.

Even the way they announced the launch of this event is through the appearance of the characters in the famous childhood story, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".

Goldilocks and the Three Bears were spotted having a picnic at Raffles Place during lunch time on 3rd of July.

Look at the lunch-time crowd that have been drawn in by them!!

They continued to make a second appearance along Orchard Road. I can tell that they are really enjoying themselves!

Picnicking outside Wisma Atria sure stirred up the anticipation and excitement among the crowds.

So why not let your creativity juice flows by dressing up to the whimsical theme on that day? My pick is on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Sounds great, right? Or simply deck out your most creative picnic setting. Maybe your picnic basket is made entirely of crystals? Flaunt it out on that day cause you can even stand to win attractive prizes from these competitions:

– Most Creative Picnic Set Up Competition
– Best Dressed Family Competition
– Best Family Moments Photo Competition
– Family Challenges

Apart from the competitions, there will also be activities such as Sky Ballet Dancing, Unicorn Riding, Sparkles & Star Dust Activities, and a 'Potion Store', which will serve up various concoctions of juices and beverages. Another highlight that is guaranteed to draw a long queue from the kids and those with a sweet tooth is the Candy House. This is the place where one can indulge in assorted candies to satisfy the craving for something sweet!

I can already imagine myself queueing for that Candy House already!!! ^^

NSmen can bring their families and friends to SAFRA for social, recreational, sports and educational facilities  Pick the one that is closest to your house area and you can really spend a fun day there. For me, I had some fond memories spent at SAFRA Jurong with my friends. Speaking of which, it's really been quite some time I met them.

Bf not only owns a SAFRA membership but also joined one of their interest club, SAFRA MovieMax membership. Sometime, we get to watch movies for free and most of the time we used to get the $5.50 movie tickets on Wednesday at Tiong Bahru. Just recently, he received an invitation to catch the preview of Ah Boys to Men 2. For my blog post on that do click here. More details of the interest groups that SAFRA can offers, please visit their link here.

Plans for the $80 vouchers

Now the headache part is how to utilize that $80 vouchers bf received. There's actually a few options I had in mind and I guess I may split the vouchers up since the expiry date is till the 31st March 2014.

1. Treat our parents to a well-deserved meal. Above are just some of the selected choices.

2. Organised a gathering with friends whom we've not met up for ages. Some of the activities are more fun when done with friends like singing KTV and bowling.

3. Simply used it on just the both of us to places which I've always wanted to go to but have not had a chance to go yet.

Thanks to SAFRA for the many beautiful memories I had and will be creating more in future too. Thanks for reading.
