Friday the 13th - Smule : Magic Piano on iPhone 4

It's Friday the 13th but fear not, I have something good to share. Randomly found this app on the app store which is just amazing! It's called Magic Piano by Smule. This app keeps me entertained while waiting for my turn and also somehow make me realised my dream to be a great pianist.

Click on this link to listen to me playing Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

OR

this link to hear me playing Gary Jules's Mad World

OR

this link to hear me playing the short and catchy The Entertainer.

I'm like on cloud 9 with this applications. These are the selections at the main screen.

Now I've entered Songbook and finding songs to play. Have to follow the tap but the tempo and pause all that one have to get a good grip on it if not the whole song will sound terrible.

Choose the World and one can hear songs played by others all over the world.

Choose Solo Freestyle and the piana keyboard will appear.
The normal one.

The circular one.

The spiral one.

Try this app now and I guaranteed you to be hooked on to it.

April Fools' Day Confession - Ways to sharpen our mind

For all my readers out there, you all might be wondering what have an Ostrich got to do with April Fool? Well, I'm not going to blog about the origin of April Fools' day or whether did I got fooled today (apparently not so there's nothing to blog about) but I was just thinking about this, does brain size correlate to intelligence? Just as I was thinking about the brain sizes, the image of an Ostrich and the saying that "an Ostrich's brain is the size of its' eyeball" came to my mind. This saying is confirmed to be true from the Ostrich Fact or Fiction website. There is no definite answers as to whether the brain size correlate to intelligence but I do know that if we don't train our brain enough, when we grow older, we might really become a fool. One teacher used to tell the class that an intelligent person brain would have lots of loops and curves like that of the Albert Einstein (See point 10 of his brain). Those not so intelligent ones would have a smooth like pebble brain and that teacher always crack jokes like wanting to open up our head to see our brain. I was quite frightened by that back then.

Research suggests that eating more omega-3 fatty acids, a nutrient found in fish and nut oils plays an important role in memory and cognitive performance. A deficiency in omega-3 fatty acid caused fatigue, poor memory and bad mood.

Beside eating the right food, playing the right game also helped to train our brain. I played Brain Trainer from Lumosity and found that those games are really stimulating.

PS: April Fools' Day is not only a day to play pranks on friends. It's also a great day for people to confess because if you get rejected today, you simply shout "Happy April Fools' Day!" This way it saves one from feeling embarrass or awkward.

Happy Chinese New Year CNY Day 15 - Mind blocked

Chinese New Year has finally come to an end.
Received the last red packet of $20 today by a manager.

元宵节快乐?
不快乐?

Have you all at one point of time experience a mind block before?
That's what I'm feeling today so please excuse me if my entry today is a bit no link.
My mind just failed to response, those words just seems to be floating by.

The game that best suits me today is Coin Dozer.
(I don't like the cookie version, makes me feels hungry only)
I played all kinds of Coin Dozer - Original, Christmas, Asian New Year, Halloween
(actually those that are FREE only)
It's such a brainless game that all I need to do is just Tap Tap Tap Tap.
And the coins will fall down from the top pushing the rest of the coins to my slot.
I don't even need to look at the screen when I play this game.
It just feels great hearing the coin falls down.
Especially when a lot of coins falls down into my slot.
It will make a sound that sounds like the cash register.

WOW, if only those coins were real.
Start singing: "I wanna be a billionaire so frigging bad."

Life is like a game of Scrabble : Words with friends

Life is like a game of scrabble. You will never know what letters you are going to get next and the tougher the letter is to form a word, the higher the point it's worth. Just like in life, the harder a job is or how nasty that person is, the more you have to think positive and get it done cause it's may just be a million dollar deal.

In life, we have to look out for the chances and opportunities out there that will benefits us. In game, it's much easier, aiming the TW (Triple Word) box and try to place a 10 points worth of letter there. That's my strategy.

I love playing this game on my iPhone 4 called "Words with friends". Not only it's FREE to download, there's sufficient time for me to plan and think of what word I want to form next. I get to know about this great game when I was so bored waiting for my turn and decided to strike a conversation beside the woman who was also waiting for her turn. I had my first game with her and I was a total noob in my first game. I didn't know what TW (Triple Word), DW (Double Word), TL (Triple Letters), DL (Double Letters) meant. I didn't even know the game must starts in the middle which is indicated by a star.

I invited bf to play with me to test his skill. Lost a few rounds until he became so arrogant that before we played our previous round, he said he would sure beat me. I told him that his luck might change. True enough, I won him. Rather than attacking, he keep trying to play as the defender by making it impossible for me to place on those TW and DW boxes. He would put a few letters to form short word so that I have no choice to link from his words but to form my own longer words and he could get the TW and DW boxes. In the end, with the lady luck smiling at me, I won by 20 points. Serve him right for acting arrogant. Hehe. Now I'm playing a game with the woman whom I first played with. I seems to be on the losing end but I still have my 10 point letter. Hopefully lady luck will smile at me again! ^^
