To commemorate the 45th anniversary of National Service (NS), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will provide about $100 million worth of SAFRA and HomeTeamNS benefits to more than 900,000 National Servicemen. This is a one-off recognition initiative to thank all the National Servicemen for their dedicated service to the nation.
Look out for your NS45 eligibility letters in the mailbox from now till Apr 13. The vouchers can be used to enjoy shopping, F&B, IT/gadgets and travel benefits at 5,000 outlets islandwide! However, if you are as anxious and can't wait for the snail mail to come, you may choose to register online at http://ns45.safra.sg/ too. Online registeration ends on 28 Feb 14.
Bf has already received his $80 worth of SAFRA vouchers and free SAFRA membership for up to one year! Woohoo. This vouchers not only can be redeem at the SAFRA Clubs at Mount Faber, Tampines, Jurong, Toa Payoh, Yishun and Micro Clubs but also at different participating outlets.
SAFRA bring NSmen closer together
Graduate students have clubhouses in school for them to go back and meet up frequently. Same goes for NSmen. NSmen can bring their families and friends to SAFRA for social, recreational, sports and educational facilities Pick the one that is closest to your house area and you can really spend a fun day there. For me, I had some fond memories spent at SAFRA Jurong with my friends. Speaking of which, it's really been quite some time I met them.

SAFRA MovieMax: Ah Boys to Men 2 Movie Preview
Bf not only owns a SAFRA membership but also joined one of their interest club, SAFRA MovieMax membership. Sometime, we get to watch movies for free and most of the time we used to get the $5.50 movie tickets on Wednesday at Tiong Bahru. Plans for the $80 vouchers
Now the headache part is how to utilize that $80 vouchers bf received. There's actually a few options I had in mind and I guess I may split the vouchers up since the expiry date is till the 31st March 2014.
1. Treat our parents to a well-deserved meal. Above are just some of the selected choices.
2. Organised a gathering with friends whom we've not met up for ages. Some of the activities are more fun when done with friends like singing KTV and bowling.
3. Simply used it on just the both of us to places which I've always wanted to go to but have not had a chance to go yet.
