[Event] Sneak preview to McDonald's All Day Breakfast at their first-ever breakfast pyjama party

Enjoying McDonald's Breakfast Deluxe in the afternoon!

If you know me well, you would have found out that I'm not a morning person (by the timing I usually post my blog posts) and so this happy photo of me was actually taken on a Sunday afternoon at Bishan Park McDonald (don't be misled by the breakfast set, it was indeed afternoon already). Was there to get a sneak preview to McDonald's All Day Breakfast offerings from 1 - 4 January 2015. Cheers to McDonald for being so understanding to people like me who is always trying to catch up with the heavy sleep debts.

Breakfast Coupon

Was given my complimentary breakfast coupon upon reaching the party which allows me to choose either of the three breakfast set that was listed. This is exactly what McDonald's will be offering till 5pm over the four days at all McDonald's restaurants except Nanyang Polytechnic, Lido, Clifford Centre KK Hospital, Tampines Kiosk, Singapore Science Centre, National University of Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic 2.

Breakfast Deluxe

For those who have not had McDonald's breakfast for a long time, this is what a McDonald's Breakfast Deluxe Meal looks like. Super yummy right?

So cool to have our breakfast in bed. Thanks Hp for this wonderful group photo. Nice to make new friends there too. I think that day we really attracted lots of curious stares from those who are around the park.

Bean bags, sofa beds and beds instead of the usual tables and chairs. Furthermore, the greenery is really relaxing.

To start 2015 on a positive note, McDonald's has created its first All Day Sunrise video. This video features the sunrise shot and broadcast live from some of the most iconic cities around the world. Starting with Gisborne, New Zealand - the world's first city to witness sunrise in 2015, the video will then move westward, following the sunrise over different cities throughout the day. McDonald also collaborate with LINE to rewards its loyal followers with free vanilla ice cream cones as well as Singapore's themed stickers set. There would be a total of 200,000 Vanilla Cones given out from 15 Dec 2014 to 31 Jan 2015 while the exclusive LINE x McDonald's sticker set is available for download till 7 Dec 2015 and valid for 90 days after download. SO CUTE! My favourite is  the LINE couple characters - BROWN AND CONY. I love watching their LINE TOWN as well as LINE OFFLINE videos but nowadays it's hard to find those videos with English subtitles since their conversations are in Japanese. So I've stopped watching them for quite some times already. If anyone knows where I can stream them, please let me know. Thanks!

Saw someone posted this on McDonald's Facebook Page. I'm so gonna get the BROWN AND CONY PLUSHIES if this is for real!! In actual fact, I think I'm more excited over getting the LINE plushie as compared to the Hello Kitty probably due to the fact like I've mentioned earlier that I've watched their cartoons and sort of know each of their characteristics. Brown is the quiet bear who never talks but always appears at the right time to help the rest out of troubles while Cony is the most talkative one. Looking forward to getting my hands on them.

Good news! McDonald is offering a sneak peek into its upcoming All Day Breakfast by organising their first ever breakfast pyjama party (#McDPJPARTY) this coming Sunday, 28th December 2014 from 12pm to 5pm at Bishan Park McDonald.

This party will let customers previews McDonald's All Day Breakfast, which will take place from 1 to 4 January 2015 to bring New Year joy to McDonald's breakfast lovers. Breakfast favourites such as Hotcakes Meal, Hotcakes with Sausage Meal and Breakfast Deluxe Meal will be available till 5pm over the four days at all McDonald's restaurants in Singapore except Nanyang Polytechnic, Lido, Clifford Centre, KK Hospital, Tampines Kiosk, Singapore Science Centre, National University of Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic 2. Yay. No need to wake up early on those dates just to have McDonald's breakfast!

 At the breakfast pyjama party, customers can look forward to delicious breakfast treat in the comfort of customised bedroom areas themed after some of the all-time favourite McDonald's breakfast items. 

HOW TO JOIN THE PARTY? 

To join the party, simply have to:

1. Snap a selfie or wefie in pyjamas and upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #McDPJPARTY.

2. Come dressed in your pyjamas and show the Instagram photo to receive a breakfast coupon* at the event entrance on 28 December from 12pm to 5pm. (*Breakfast coupons will be given out to the first 200 customers who fulfill the entry conditions. Free breakfast meals can only be redeemed at the event and not valid for takeaway.)

All proceeds will go to the charity's initiatives including its "home-away-from-home" programme in which families with children who are hospitalised can stay close together.

Thai Horror Movie : The Swimmers 游魂惹鬼 ฝากไว้…ในกายเธอ

I love watching Thai horror movie. They usually have plots that are scary yet funny and engaging at the same time. The moment I saw omy.sg running a contest for a pair of tickets to The Swimmers, I joined immediately and was one of the winners. Glad to find out that Jessie's a big fan of Thai horror movie too and she was equally excited to watch this movie. So that makes her the perfect companion for horror movies!

Synopsis 

The movie centers around a love triangle relationship between Perth, Tan and Ice. Perth and Tan are close buddy and also rival in the swimming competition. Tan and Ice is an item but Perth falls in love with Ice and the story unfolds after the scene showed Ice dead body being found at the bottom of the school's drained diving pool, with the smashed pool tiles being replaced by slightly darker blue tiles, indicating where the corpse landed.

The movie toggles between the present to the weeks before Ice's dead body was found. Tan, who is determined to nail down the culprit who caused Ice's death got Perth to help in the investigation without knowing that the real culprit is actually Perth.

Perth feeling guilty starting to encounter a series of haunting events. One of which is when his stomach grows bigger and bigger until his teammate commented that his six packs become one pack. He believes that he is pregnant and tried to do a lot of silly thing like doing the scanning of his own stomach, poking open his stomach, going back to where he buried the dead fetus, etc. Turned out, it's just a illness he got for eating too much raw eggs.

Anyway, the ending is quite of a twist. The one we expected to die is alive and even won the swimming competition. I guess, the one who's still alive will never have a day of peace as he will forever be haunted.

Review

The scary scenes in this movie are actually not a lot and most of the time they ended up like false alarm, for example, how we thought it would be the ghost of Ice but it's just a broom, etc. The movie is more towards bringing out the message of having safe teen sex. There's the disturbing scene of Ice getting an abortion by pills and the dead fetus was expel out of her body. This part was really gross. Next we saw Perth covering the dead fetus with his jacket and smashed it. This part is scarier than the ghost appearing.   

Interesting Facts

- The shooting of this movie took 18 hours a day and a total of 28 days.

- This is the first time GTH film an underwater movie.

- The shooting was done somewhere around January and February of 2013 in Bangkok. During this period, the city reached its lowest temperature in 10 years.

- The filming usually take place during night time from 6pm to 6am.

- One of the actress, Mint played by Violette Wautier is actually a contestant from The Voice Thailand season two.

Remember this, "Underwater, no one can hear you scream."

Be Part of the Art Masterpiece at Alive Museum Singapore

Korea's first and original 3D entertainment attraction Alive Museum opens in Singapore and this new attraction sure brought a lot of fun and laughter to my friends and I on a Friday night. 

While most museums do not allow visitors to touch and feel the exhibits, Alive Museum Singapore is one museum whereby visitors are encourage to touch, feel and be part of the art masterpieces that focus a lot on optical illusions. In fact, if you do not do so, you've made a wasted trip. Lots of photos taking is a MUST! Read on as I'll share all the fun photos and poses we had! ;)

To begin with, let me don on a pair of giant angel wings and guide you all around! The angel wings makes me feel so angelic. What is lacking is just the halo on top of my head. 来唱一首童话：“我愿变成童话里你爱的那个天使，张开双手变成翅膀守护你。”

For those who have visited the museum would know that the "STOP LOOKING" banner doesn't exist. I added them on using line camera, with the considerations that it might not be so nice to pose the actual photo here.

Us doing the famous Michael Jackson's anti-gravity lean! This is one of the most challenging pose. The rest requires lesser effort but for us to get this leaning effect, we really have to put in some effort. Know the tricks?

I can have claws like wolverine! The crowds behind me are all waiting to try the Michael Jackson's lean pose.

Another special 3D painting technique that makes the walking stick looks so real. To get the best photo effect, there are pose point and photo point icons at each exhibit (refer to the small picture on the right of the wall) whereby visitors like me can follow to achieve the best and most realistic looking photos.

有时不知道怎么摆就看看墙壁上的例子。

Playing with mirror effect. Spent a lot of time here too cause the first few photos looks so weird and we have to retake many times. Take for example, Lynette's fringe! LOL! We really laughed hard at her. Bf looks the most normal out of all of us.

There are currently over 80 masterpieces, of which 9 are locally themed and unique to Singapore.

Some facts of the Alive Museum

- Opened in 2009, Alive Museum is the original 3D visual illusion museum from South Korea.

- Alive Museum currently has eight branches in South Korea, three in China and one each in Thailand, Vietnam and Turkey.

- The Singapore branch at about 10,000 sq ft is ranked 15th and the largest branch so far is in Jeju Island. It takes up about 43,000 sq ft of exhibition space and welcomes at least 1.5 million visitors a year. 

- All the artworks are hand-painted and handcrafted by Alive Museum's own team of talented artists from South Korea to ensure unparalleled quality.

- To stay current and exciting, about 30% of the collections are refreshed every year and special exhibits are held during major holiday seasons such as Christmas and Chinese New Year. 

A group photo. I'm glad everybody have fun and enjoyed. Thank you omy for the pair of complimentary tickets and to allow my 4 other friends to purchase at discounted rates. Initially we thought we could cover the whole museum in less than 1 hour time, so we went in at about 8.10pm and 15 minutes before 10pm which is the the museum closing time, we were still inside at the last part of the museum, so we have to hastily pose and snap our photos.
