Mulan @ Tiong Bahru

For the first time in my two years working here, there's something special just for the agency secretary. Usually, it's always for FSC and Leaders. The invitation was a colourful A4 size sheet of paper inviting us for a special Christmas Appreciation Buffet Lunch. There would also be a gift exchange session so we need to bring a gift worth $10. LOL. I think it's a very nice gesture since we are working just as hard as the FSCs.
....................................................................

Being wednesday (movie day) bf and I went to Tiong Bahru to catch a movie. He say we are going to watch the new moon. So I asked him whether he had checked or not and what time de? He replied watching the 9pm one. Who knows when we were queuing for ticket that time he told me he see wrong. New moon is not on the screen at all. I went to see the poster and found out the launch date is tomorrow lo. Pekchek. Still bluff me say check le. No choice, we watched Mulan by 赵薇。

The first half an hour of the movie was quite expected, same as the storyline we all knew, about Mulan's father being very old and sick so Mulan went to replace him in the army. Quite soon as Mulan went into the imperial troop, her identity as a woman was exposed by the guy she love and also the guy who motivates her everyday in the later part of the story. Battles after battles they fought and eventually Mulan became the General 花将军。There a few scenes of the battles that reminds me of my PSP game - Patapon. The difference being, in the movie, there's a general leading the troop but in this game, it's the deity who commands the army by beating drums. Pata Pata Pata Pon~ Anyway, this movie doesn't have a happy ending. True, Mulan was re-united with her father but she didn't get to be with her lover which is so sad. Her lover WeiTai have to married to a princess in order to end war. Big sacrifice.

Our dinner at Griller. Yummylicious~ However, there's a big difference between the set meals and normal meals. Noticed the bigger serving in the soup and drinks for the set meal as compared to the normal meals? So if you want to eat there, better order the set meals for better values.
