2 Days 1 Night Tanjung Sepat - Malacca Educational Tour [Part 1/2]

27 July 13 to 28 July 13 - I went on a trip organised by the RCs again! This is actually the second time this year I joined in a RCs trip, thanks to my very enthusiastic parents who actively participate in RCs events. The previous one I went to was organised by the Pioneer RC and it was a Malacca day trip which I was quite disappointed with their itinerary so I didn't even blog about it. I'm so glad that this time round we signed up at the Blk 359 Clementi RC and they've planned for us to stay one night in Malacca which means we got to explore the night market of Jonker Street that I always missed out.

We have to gather very early at 6.30 am, luckily it's just a 15 minutes walking distance away from home. On board the 28 seats coach but didn't see the beautiful sunrise when we cross over the 2nd link this time round.

Breakfast

At 8 am in the morning, even though the food looks very appetizing, I'm still not able to eat them all by myself so I shared my food.

Spotted a tree trunk without any leaves and branches.

Lunch

海湾海鲜舫 Baywatch Restaurant
72, Jalan 3, Tepi Laut,
42800 Tanjung Sepat,
Kuala Langat, Selangor D.E.
Tel/Fax: +603-3197 3843

Business Hour:

Monday to Friday : (11:30am – 3:00pm) (5:00pm-11:00pm)
Saturday to Sunday : (11:30am – 11:00pm)
Closed on Thursday.

Although the restaurant is non-air conditioned, the ventilation is good. The simple Bali style ambiance makes one feels relax. Furthermore, all my self-pic taken over there look so good thus it's a highly recommended restaurant to visit. Food is very nice but some of them complained that the crab is too small.

After lunch, we went back to the coach again for our next destination. Another photo of me, myself and I again. Lol.

Tanjung Sepat Lingzhi Farm

宝芝林 Ganofarm Sdn. Bhd.

Lot 700, Jalan Laut Membiru,
Taman Pelangi,
42800 Tanjung Sepat,
Selangor, Malaysia.
Tel: +603-31975600
Fax: +603-31975717

The person-in-charge give us a briefing on the mushroom cultivation process. After that, we took some photos of the lingzhi and mushrooms here and there. There's also a mart selling relating products and I think my mum bought drinks and two boxes of mushroom essences there.

Tanjung Sepat Hainanese Coffee Factory

裕发咖啡贸易 Joo Fa Trading

No. 356, Lorong 5, Jalan Besar,
42800 Tanjung Sepat,
Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.
H/P : +6012-972 2886
Tel : +603-3197 4862

We were greeted by the strong aroma of the coffee beans as we entered the factory. The owner here insisted on using the traditional coffee roasting methods despite the low efficiency. The coffee brewed this way is rich and smooth even a non-coffee drinker like me loves it.

Tanjung Sepat Famous Pau

海友兴包点 Hai Yew Heng

405, Jalan Pasar,
42800 Tg. Sepat,
Kuala Langat, Selangor Darul Ehsan.
Tel: +6012-272 9009 / +603-3197 4144

As we walked along the street, the tour guide bring us to buy the pau from this shop called Hai Yew Heng. They are famous for the traditional homemade Hainanese buns. They sell a variety of buns but the vegetable bun is the best selling one.

Tanjung Sepat Tapioca Factory

金龙食品有限公司(木薯厂) Arowana Malayan Food Industries Sdn. Bhd.

OMG! Look at that large quality of tapioca that needs to be washed, sliced and process. After visiting the back end factory, we went inside the mall which sells a lots of chips and other tidbits. Was feeling quite heaty so didn't buy anything here.

Went back to the coach again and this time round spotted lots and lots of cows eating grass by the side. This is not a sight that can be found in Singapore so must snapped photo.

Tanjung Sepat Dragon Fruit Farm

日热红仙蜜果园 Multi-Rich Pitaya Sdn Bhd

A-126,Kampung Baru
43900 Sepang

Selangor D.E.

Tel: +6016-666 8736 / +6019-331 8828 / +6019-255 3194

Interesting sights here beside looking at the plantation of the dragon fruits is the monkey who smokes. Before we arrived, our tour guide has already mentioned to us about this monkey. When we were there, the owner asked if anybody smokes and if there is, can pass a cigarette to the monkey. So, someone lighted up the cigarette and passed it to the monkey, the monkey took it and put it in his mouth, but after a while throw the cigarette on the floor. The younger monkey saw the cigarettes butt on the floor and tried to put out the smoke. I would like to think that the monkey is quitting smoking and is trying to live a healthier lifestyle by eating more dragon fruits.

Dinner

永香楼海鲜酒家 Restoran Weng Heong

2014-2018, Taman Bukit Blossom,
Jalan Tok Ungku, 70100 Seremban
N. Sembilan
Tel: +06-631 5973 / +06-6326868

Yummy restaurant food. This dinner also marks the end of our Tanjung Sepat trip as we make our way to Malacca! Woohoo. Tanjung Sepat is basically on the Straits of Malacca only, so if you know the way, you can do a 2 days 1 night tour like this too. Most of the people living here is in the fishing industry so they really live a very simple lifestyle.

Do read my next post for [Part 2/2] of the trip to Malacca.
