U Picnic 2013 by U Family

Join the U Picnic 2013 by U Family at West Coast Park from 5pm till 9pm. (picnickers can check-in from 4.30pm onwards).

Following the success of the inaugural event last year, U Picnic returns this year with a whimsical theme that promises 'FOOD.FUN.EXPERIENCE' for the whole family!

Organised by U Family and supported by NTUC FairPrice, U Picnic this year is all set to attract and excites both children and the young-at-heart, with its dizzying variety of unique attractions whereby one can create or relive their childhood dreams.

Even the way they announced the launch of this event is through the appearance of the characters in the famous childhood story, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".

Goldilocks and the Three Bears were spotted having a picnic at Raffles Place during lunch time on 3rd of July.

Look at the lunch-time crowd that have been drawn in by them!!

They continued to make a second appearance along Orchard Road. I can tell that they are really enjoying themselves!

Picnicking outside Wisma Atria sure stirred up the anticipation and excitement among the crowds.

So why not let your creativity juice flows by dressing up to the whimsical theme on that day? My pick is on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Sounds great, right? Or simply deck out your most creative picnic setting. Maybe your picnic basket is made entirely of crystals? Apart from the competitions, there will also be activities such as Sky Ballet Dancing, Unicorn Riding, Sparkles & Star Dust Activities, and a 'Potion Store', which will serve up various concoctions of juices and beverages. Another highlight that is guaranteed to draw a long queue from the kids and those with a sweet tooth is the Candy House. This is the place where one can indulge in assorted candies to satisfy the craving for something sweet!
