I've always considered visiting Legoland, Malaysia, as my girl has never been there before and it's one of the nearest attractions we can get to in Malaysia. So when Pink invited me to join her and Enya on a trip there for Halloween, I agreed without hesitation. Initially, the concern was about the transportation as it was on the news that all foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia must have a valid VEP by 1st October or be issued a penalty and our trip was from 3 to 4 October. Nearer to the date, it was updated that it will just be a warning letter so Hubby was able to send us in and back even though we couldn't get the VEP on time.
Hubby drove us in via the Tuas second link and brought us to this restaurant, where we indulged in a yummy dim sum breakfast. After placing our orders, the waiters will come by our table about 3 to 4 times, each time bringing different trays of steamed and fried sim sum, so keep your stomach for that and don't pick too much on the first round.
Halloween-themed Booths set up at the Entrance
The festive vibes begin as soon as you step into the entrance. There are six Halloween-themed booths set up for mini fun activities, and plenty of photo opportunities. The friendly LEGOLAND staff are also nearby to help us capture our perfect family moments.
Monster Party at the Castle
We experienced even more Halloween fun as we entered the castle. At the Scream-O-Meter, we let out our loudest screams to fill the meter and redeem prizes - magnetic badges to wear on our clothes. Next, the girls became creative at Monsters' Munchies, decorating their own spooky cupcakes. The candy trail was another highlight, with the kids enthusiastically collecting plenty of treats!
Snack break at Asian Deli where we had some sushi and small bites. This Zombie Coolers Mocktail is really nice.
Other rides and attractions
We also explored the rest of LEGOLAND. The ride that has the longest waiting time was the World's First Lego VR Coaster. Unfortunately, the VR set could not be wore by kids.
Halloween Buffet Dinner at Bricks Family Restaurant
We indulged in a wide spread of cuisine at Bricks Family Restaurant. A thoughtful touch was the paper tablecloths and crayons provided for kids to colour and do their puzzles. The Halloween-themed decorations and desserts impressed us with their attention to detail. The desserts were too pretty, making it hard to choose. There are also live stations offering chicken rice, peking duck, lok lok and many more. Throughout our meal, joyful Happy Birthday songs filled the air, as there were many celebrations taking place.
A Night Stay at Hotel Ramada by Wyndham Meridin
We took a grab from Legoland Hotel to Hotel Ramada where we will be staying for a night. The hotel was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was just a short 5 minutes ride away. The hotel also provides free shuttle bus service at 10.15am to Legoland. Although, we spent the whole day from morning to night, the girls were still super active and they only get to bed by around midnight. Grateful and thankful for this short trip as we celebrated Children's Day and Halloween in advance there.
