[Cafe in SG] LeJomo | Experience The Joy of Missing Out「乐周末」at Fook Hai Building

 Visited LeJomo, a cozy cafe located at Fook Hai Building, just next to Hong Lim Complex after work for their media launch, thanks Kenny, @_boyz86 for extending the invite to me. It was about a 15 minutes walk away from my workplace. If you are wondering what does LeJomo mean, well, there is actually an interesting concept behind the cafe name. "Le" translate to "the" in French and Jomo actually stands for Joy of Missing Out, so LeJomo means The Joy of Missing Out. 

We are so used to the term FOMO aka Fear of Missing Out that we didn't realised if we just replace the "Fear" with "Joy" and stop worrying about missing out on what others are doing, we could be fully engage in our own life. At LeJomo, they want us to be digitally disconnected, enjoy some me time, to catch up with friends or simply get inspired by the visuals and music at this cafe and to truly embrace the Joy of Missing Out.

As we were still early and waiting for the rest to arrive, we decided to explore the second storey of the cafe. I definitely enjoyed this little LeJomo moments while the rest were downstairs taking photos of the food. Oh ya, also did a TPG challenge with Kenny, check out the tik tok video we did here. I particularly love this spot and also the mid-way suspended plant. Interesting to just gaze at this plant and imagine I'm somewhere else. After taking some photos, we headed back to the first floor to check out the food.

LeJomo offers a healthy and diverse Korean dishes on their menu. From Bibimbap to Army Stew to sweet indulgences like cakes and pastries and specialty beverages and soju cocktails.

Spotted a talented artist @james.ek who did a drawing on the spot of the Korean Ramen Crusted Waffle. Impressive! I always admired people who can draw so well because for me, I only know how to draw a stickman.

 

Korean Ramen Crusted Waffle with Sweet & Sour Plum Chili and Honey Coated Bacon and Salad. Didn't get to try this but heard that it was so good and unique because there's ramen bites in the waffle! 

Bibimpap has their in-house sambal chili which is another of their unique dish. 

Korean Army Stew is so comforting especially when eaten hot.

Toast of Joy with Pepero sticks. Perfect for the sweet tooth me and the toast is really crispy.

Throat Soothing Pi Pa Gao Latte. Fear not that it will taste like cough syrup cause the coffee taste is strong enough to cover it. Comes in hot and cold version.
