Seafood Fiesta at Plaza Brasserie

Hello!
I'm back to make whoever's reading this post drool.

Whether you belongs to the eat to live or live to eat category, the fact is we all have to eat to survive. I believe that I belong to the live to eat category cause I'm super picky with my food and I can't eat the same food consecutively for a few days. I know of people who eat to live and can have wantan mee for breakfast everyday or chicken rice for lunch everyday, but I just cannot. That's too boring, don't you agree?

For me, eating buffet is the best choice cause I get to eat a variety of food at one go! Even better if it's a SEAFOOD BUFFET!!!

Seafood lovers, look at this!!! Imagine a tray of Black Mussels, Tiger Prawns, Australian Queen Scallops, Fresh Oysters and Flower Crabs presented like this before you, all ready for you to indulge in. Imagine no more cause this can all be found at Plaza Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Beach Road from now till 31st May.

I was glad to be attending this food tasting session, saw a lot of awesome bloggers too, thanks Shu Qing for extending her invites to me. It was themed Best of Asia, and this Seafood Fiesta at Plaza Brasserie would be from 8 March to 26 May 2013.

Dinner (Mondays to Thursday): Adult $53 Child $32
Dinner (Fridays to Sundays): Adult $58 Child $35

Stir-fried Crab with Egg Yolk
For crab lovers, there's three different kind of crabs to choose from. There's the stir-fried crab with egg yolk that we had, stir-fried crab with black pepper and stir-fried chilli crab! This is the first time I tried crab with egg yolk and it was delicious. At first we all don't wish to get our hands dirty and try to pick the meat with our forks but after a while, we all started using our hand. The crab just taste much better when using my hands to eat and I licked my fingers clean before washing it.

White Clams in Thai Chili Sauce

This White Clams in Thai Chili Sauce is so addictive that Jess and I can't stop eating them. So that's my whole plate of empty clam shells. Could have eaten more but there's no more left. Have it your choice of sauce of either Black Bean Sauce, 'XO' Sauce, Black Pepper Sauce or this Thai Chili Sauce.

Southern Bay Clams in Black Bean Sauce
A different type of clams in a different sauce. Somehow, I would prefer the white clams even though the size is smaller. The fishy taste is much stronger but it's very chewy.

Steamed Sea Bass with Nonya Sauce
Steamed on the lotus leaf for extra flavour, this special dish is my favourite too! The sea bass is fresh and the nonya sauce is neither too spicy nor too sweet. It's a unique flavour.

Sambal Prawn
Another must try is the Sambal Prawn. Tasty with the savoury sambal chili.

Steamed fish with Nonya Sauce
The fish is fresh and has got no fishy taste to it. Thumbs up!

Sambal Singray
Mistaken it for Otah initially, but when we opened up the banana leaf and tasted it, we know it's the Sambal Stingray. Interesting concept and goes well with the chinchalok sauce.

From Mondays to Thursday, Chef Jackson Goh will steam your choice of Red Garoupa or Sea Bass in either the Hong Kong or Thai cooking style.

Beside Seafood dishes, there's also other cuisines to look forward to, such as Japanese. Salmon, sushi, teriyaki chicken and so much more. Once the sushi on display is finished, the chef will create new ones! Was very delighted to find the new batch of sushi being served and they were all special creations by the chef himself, such as the more bottom right ones, the outer layer is not egg but cheese.

Some of the hot favourites such as fried rice with crab meat, baby kailan, oyster omelette, crispy soft shell crabs and braised sea cucumber with roast pork etc.

We also indulge ourselves in the Dim Sum mix of Minced Pork Dumplings and Siew Mai (Pork).

White Fungus with Pear

Lavish in the wide range of delectable desserts, cakes, pastries, ice-creams, chocolate fondue (sadly couldn't find the chocolate fondue that day) as well as dried and fresh fruits.

Easter Celebrations

For Easter Celebrations, Chef Jackson and his team will create a special Easter kids buffet lunch menu on Sunday 31 March 2013 that features mini pizza, mini burger, nuggets, spaghetti with tomato sauce, meat ball, chicken chipolata, hash brown, assorted sandwiches, waffle with peanut butter and kaya and so much more. There would also be fun activities ranging from balloon sculpting, egg painting and cartoon screening for the kids to look forward to beside eating.
