APB Cheers Challenge Championship‏ at The Cathay

I was overjoyed to receive a call from Janet of OMY a few days ago informing me that my blog post for the GYSB cheers challenge has won the top 5 best blog category! On top of that, my game score is also among the top 10, so was asked to challenge it out together with the rest of the top 10 scoring bloggers for a chance to play against the regional contestants at the Cheers Challenge Championship. Today marks the finale of the three month regional online game - The Cheers Challenge. 

We gathered at 12.45pm outside The Cathay for a short briefing. Gotten my pass which I'm glad that they put up the name I used in my FaceBook instead of my real name.  Wondering if I'm the only one with Chinese name on my tag, but that's not my real Chinese name. It's just a direct translation of Jasmine. Heehee.

The 27 regional contestants were from countries namely Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam and lastly our home Country, Singapore. These are the countries that the Company, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited set up their breweries at. Look at them, they all looked so excited and ready to play the game! Who wouldn't? To have a chance to fly to another Country to play an online game and even stand a chance to win attractive prizes. 

What bloggers like to do most is to take photos. Especially with famous people! So we happily took a photo with Daniel Ong who is the emcee of this event. 

Took a break and 2.30pm is the time for me to received my prize for being the top 5 blogs based on 50% scores and 50% quality of blog. Thank you for choosing my blog to be one of the top 5. I shall continue to maintain this good image. 

After giving out the prize for the top 5 bloggers, it's the bloggers round. Bf took a video of the whole process from the start of me competing till the end.

I got 4th position but I beat my last best score of 4800 which is 3 months ago. Not too bad. Got improvement.

Have to go through a private interview on how he feels being the top scoring blogger. 

There's also prizes for the public if they are the top hourly scorer. Asked bf to go and have a try  but he didn't make it to the top. 

The overview of the place. I didn't stayed on to watch who got the overall first prize of 5 days-3 nights holiday for two to the Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi Resort and Spa (Beach Villa), complete with full-board meals and leisure activities. * ENVY!! * However, from the photos I found out that none from Singapore made it to the top 3. The first goes to a Malaysian guy. Lucky him.
