The Salvation Army REJECTS my donation o.O zzz

The day before I had made an online enquiry on donating my 5 storey high bookshelf since it is a bulky item and I couldn't just drop it inside the donation bins that Salvation Army has provided.

Donation Bins location :

Therefore, I found this link for donation of bulky items like furniture, washing machine, refriegrators, etc. I filled everything up and they are so considerate as to ask in the form whether I wished to be contact via 1. phone or 2. email. I choose email since I checked my emails quite frequently.

Who knows, today during office hour, I received a phone call from an unidentified lady. She said she's calling from The Salvation Army. She asked about my bookshelf. Commented that a five storey high bookshelf is rather big and whether it's metal or wooden. So I told her, it's a wooden bookshelf. She still seems quite curious and continued to ask "oh, you bought at ikea is it?" In my mind, I was thinking, why the heck she wants to know where I bought at? So I told her the truth la, I say "no". Before I could say anything else, she say, "Oh, I'm sorry but due to space constraint, I don't think we can arrange to collect the bookshelf, as for those soft toys, you may wish to drop them at the donation bins ya?" DOTZ. o.O Firstly, I'm already not very happy for the fact that I receive this phone call. I had already select my option to be contact via EMAIL. What's the phone call for? Secondly, is there something wrong with bookshelf not from Ikea? My bookshelf accompanied me for more than 10 years and it's still pretty new with no defect because it's made from high quality wood. Thirdly, she did not even mention where to find the donation bins. At least when you want people to drop the soft toys there, tell me where la so I can save the time to search. Lastly, she did not even asked to see a photo of the bookshelf, how can she deduce that it's a very big one? It's not even bigger then a washing machine or refrigerator please.

In conclusion, I think the Salvation Army might have too much donations to care for my wooden bookshelf. Maybe they are waiting for people to donate laptops, computers etc. -_-"
