CNY Day 12 - Dinner @ Azabu Sabo Marina Square + True Legend - Su Qi Er

Decided to have dinner at this restaurant due to the very nice decoration outside.

My main dish - Katsu Curry

His main dish - Beef Fried Ramen

Our sweet dessert - Matcha Bavarois. Mixture of Jelly, Red bean gluttonous rice, something like Mua Chee and ice-cream.

He go bang his head on the wall. WAHAHA!

Hohoho Hokkaido!

Nice display attracts me to go in.

Still early to our movie time so we shopped around and he got me this cute golden bear tee and a mini skirt from "The Summermint - A happy place to shop" while I had a bad stomachache. The shop has a facebook account @ thesummermint@hotmail.com and asked us to email her my photo of me wearing the clothes. I didn't do that cause it's seems like free advertising and modeling for them.

True legend is a story during the Qing Dynasty of the downfall of Su Can and his transformation to Begger Su AKA Su Qi Er. There's actually two parts to this movie.

The first part saw how Su Can gave up his post as he gained favour with the prince to his sworn brother - Yuan Lie. He wanted to pursue a life with his family, to settle down and start a martial arts school. On the day of the martial arts school opening, Yuan Lie returned home and killed Su Can's father saying that it's a revenge that his real father was killed by him. Su Can wasn't Yuan Lie match at all and he lost his fighting skill when Yuan Lie used the deadly Five Venom Palm completed with a hand sewn metal armour that protected his body.

Su Can wife's Ying saved Su Can and they both came to a deserted mountainous area whereby they stayed with a physician - Sister Yu. This part is about how Su Can regains his confidence and recovered his skill and training. He had actually went abit mad (Zou Huo Lu Mo) with his training and had imaginary strong opponent called the God of Wushu acted by Jay Chou and together with the bearded man when in fact he was just fighting by himself. The part when Jay Chou appeared is the most funny. Though he only had a small scene, he acted well with his (跩) Zhuai-ness. LOL. Actually he fighting with the imaginary opponents helped him alot but his wife thinking that he had really gone mad decided to returned to the villain Yuan Lie (who is her brother) to save her son. When Su Can found his wife gone, he went back to challenge Yuan Lie. This time round Su Can won but he lost his wife as the villain Yuan Lie sent his man to bury her saying that she is her only family and if he were to die she have to die with him.

The second part of the story is Begger Su with his son wondering on the street. All he do was drink wine and wonders about until he met his "brother" during the time he was serving the Prince. As he was finding more wine to drink in a hostel, Jay Chou, his imaginary opponent appears again. This time round, he have idea to create a skill called the (醉拳) "Drunken Fist". During that time, alot of the Westerners used wrestling skill to fight with the China man. Most of the time, the westerners used brutal force and killed the china man. The "brother" wanted to end this and agreed to go for a competition to fight with the westerners. "Brother" was badly injured and Su Can's Son went up on stage and got threaten by the Western fighter. Su Can saw his son in danger and went on stage fighting them one by one with his new Drunken Fist Skill. He won and so he continued his life discovering and seeking a higher form of martial arts.

This is a very engaging movie. I love all the cast in there. Zhou Xun as Ying (Su Can's wife) who is ever so supportive, the pillar of strength, confidence and hope to Su Can. Yuan Lie with his ruthlessness in killing and his creepy super pale face and his with to be with his sister forever. Jay Chou who gets a chuckle for appearing and of course Su can the main character. I would rate this movie a 4.5/5.
