[Events] Prisma Glass Giorgio Armani + OATSIDE Fun Side at New Bahru + Dinner at Woodlands Claypot Prawn

Set in the former Nan Chiau High School, New Bahru is a new lifestyle destination where many of the school's original architecture features, such as the vast school hall, corridors and labs, have been preserved. These spaces now house some of the leading and rising homegrown creative businesses in the food, retail, wellness, enrichment, arts and culture sector and will open progressively to the public.

Jessie, Meryl and I signed up for the Prisma Glass Pop-Up by Giorgio Armani, which was conveniently hosted at PPP Coffee at New Bahru. Hubby sent us down to New Bahru to meet them after completing some research study at NTU for my girl. We got to try on and experience their next gen lip gloss and also complete some quests using our handphone.

Thanks for the complimentary samples upon completing the online quests.

It so happened that the OATSIDE booth was just outside PPP Coffee, and they were giving out complimentary OATSIDE Chocolate Malt. We checked out the booth, and they gave my girl an OATSIDE Fun Side Adventure Booklet. They were having an ongoing activity where, to redeem a Chocolate Malt Adventure Kit, we had to be among the first 500 each day to collet 10 stamps on the adventure booklet.

To collect the stamps, we needed to go around the participating stores, take a photo of the Oatside bunny/bear decal, show the photo to the staff, and they would help us chop a stamp on the adventure card. This turned out to be a great opportunity for us to explore this new place. I almost wanted to give up on completing the adventure booklet when I realized we were only left with about an hour to 6pm, which was the time we need to report back with the adventure card. However, my girl persisted, so we continue to explore the place while trying to complete as many stamps as possible.

Luckily, after we finished exploring the entire area (found the school hall, some cool shops and cafes),  we returned back to the OATSIDE booth exactly at 6pm, just as the staff were starting to pack up. We had left a few stamps uncollected as the shops were closed, but since I had taken the photos, the staff at the booth kindly helped us stamp the remaining ones, and we managed to complete the adventure card.

We were overjoyed and screamed out loud when we were told that we had completed the card and were the last winners of the day. Thanks Oatside for organizing this event. We received a wonderful prize - a box full of Oatside Chocolate Malt Drinks (Plant Based, Source of Calcium, No Artificial Flavours, Nutri-Grade B).

We played and took some lovely photos at the New Bahru playground, located outdoors next to the lawn area. It is known as the Oatside Funside Playground, featuring Singapore's tallest outdoor communal slide. The slide is wide enough to allow two person to slide down side by side.

We left New Bahru and head to Toa Payoh for dinner joined by Kelvin and Joe at the Woodlands Claypot Prawn. This was the third outlet of Singapore's First Charcoal Claypot Prawn and is also the only halal-certified outlet so far. Really our comfort food and we ordered many sides including the Hokkien Mee. Thanks Meryl for extending her tasting invite to us.

We ended the day by checking out Muted. Gelato for ice cream dessert. It was good to hang out and explore new places together!
