2014 First Post : Chewy Jas Resolutions + Cook + There's always room for King's Grand Ice Cream

Oh great! I'm getting a bit rusty and lagging in my blog. The last proper post I published here was last year! -_-||| So this being my first post for 2014, let me share with you some of my New Year's resolutions for 2014. I can already feel a positive energy after my unfortunate little accident that happened on the last day of 2013. (If you've followed me on instagram, you'll know what happened)

This year, I hope that I can really stick to my resolutions and not lost track halfway, so I really put in a lot of thoughts before coming up with them and it's a long list which I've saved in my iPhone. Shall just share two of them here.

         1. To keep fit, but not compromising with my eating habits. (Achievable)
This being said, I've got a wonderful colleague who is on par with me (in terms of stamina) so she will be motivating me to achieve this as we set our weekly exercise routine. If I could lose some weight, it will be a bonus to me because if you ask me to eat less, it's too torturous.
2. Get a marathon medal (Achievable)
Provided if no. 1 is on track. =)
My first attempt in cooking with b as mentor turns out better than I expected. Especially love the stir-fry broccoli with fish balls, crab meat and yellow capsicum. So bright and I just feels happy with a sense of satisfaction looking at it. Soup was just Campbell soup and we had too much onions so we just mixed with mushrooms in one dish and egg in the other dish.

Ta-Dah! Chef Chewy Jas's selfie! Wahaha. I'm so proud to say that my OOTD is a $2 pink and flowery apron from Daiso. Last piece some more. For those who say they can't cook, I just want to ask, if I can cook, why can't you? Cooking is really not that hard. Cut and prepare the ingredients, dump them into the wok, stir and flip and whatever until you can smell the aroma of the food, meaning it's ready.

Super love the things I got from Daiso. It's a shop that once you enter, you will never get out empty-handed. Got all these for our dessert later on.

After our "4 course dinner", we were really really bloated. Actually the food we cooked is for about 4 person but ended up only three of us ate. But you know what? They are right in saying there's always room for desserts! Dessert is simply a must have dish to end a meal with a smile. Thanks Dannelia for delivering the ice-cream to my door step.

So what's inside the freezer bag is this tub of King's Grand Crème Brûlée Ice Cream! Crème Brûlée is probably one of the most classic desserts in the world. First documented in 1691 in a French cookbook, Crème Brûlée comprises of a rich and creamy custard base topped with a disc of toffee crust. It's the perfect symphony of sweet and crunchy indulgences and gained traction as one of the most popular desserts served in numerous restaurants.

I really love the velvety goodness of the Crème Brûlée ice cream and there's even caramelized chips for an added crunchy sensation. I decided to add some Chinese New Year goodies - Love Letters to the ice cream for a better presentation.

Nice or not?

My selfie again. I'm using the love letter as a spoon to dip into the ice-cream. Great enjoyment!

King's Grand Ice Cream flavours include:

- Tin Roof Brownie
- Triple Chocolate
- Macadamia
- Cappuccino Chips

Notice the new elegant-red tub packaging for King's Grand Ice Cream? Incidentally, this seems to resonate well with many this coming Chinese New Year as red is an auspicious colour and symbolizes happiness in the Chinese culture. So let me share a happy news.
