[FOOD] Famous Korean Fried Chicken Brand, Mom’s Touch Opens in Singapore at Paya Lebar Quarter

Mom's Touch, a famous Korean fried chicken brand with over 1,200 outlets in South Korea since it was set up in 2004 was brought in to Singapore by No Signboard Holdings who owned the exclusive master franchise agreement for Mom's Touch in Singapore and Malaysia. The first outlet in Singapore was opened at the new Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) mall which coincided with the mall's opening too.

Mom's Touch pride itself for its hand-battered and hand-breaded chicken that was marinated with generous amount of Mom's Touch special blend of seasoning. Their brand name was derived from the simple thought of how a mother would prepare a heartwarming meal for her family, one with lots of love.

Some of Mom's Touch signature dishes includes the famous Mom's Fried Chicken (a la carte price S$3.60 nett, Set meal price S$8.70 nett) which is available in both spicy and non-spicy versions. After the chicken was marinated with Mom's Touch special blend of seasoning, the deep frying process begins and resulting in a crispy yet flavorful meat.

Another popular choice would be the Mom's Spicy Sauce Chicken (a la carte price S$3.80 nett, Set meal price S$8.90 nett) which is coated with an additional tantalizing layer of Mom's Touch signature homemade spicy sauce.

I went down on their opening day and I must say there was a never ending queue! I guess many were attracted by the 50% opening discount off on the a la carte burger or Korean fried chicken as well as the Korean songs that were blasting in the background.

Occupying a shop space at the ground floor of Paya Lebar Quarter, a big part of the indoor area has been taken up by the kitchen and there was only a row of bar counter seat and two small tables left. There were however lots of seats at the outdoor area and luckily it was a super windy afternoon, so I took this chance to catch up with some foodie friends who are also waiting for their food.

I managed to try the ala carte Mom's Spicy Thigh Burger (a la carte price S$6.00 nett, Set meal price S$8.50 nett) which was really tasty. The fresh lettuce, onions and pickles provided an extra taste to the burger and the chicken meat was crispy on the outside while maintaining the juicyness and tenderness on the inside. It was a wholesome and delicious late lunch for me. They also served the non-spicy burger with a la crate price at S$5.70 nett and set meal price at S$8.20 nett.

Commenting on the launch of Mom's Touch in Singapore, Mr Sam Lim (林荣森), Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of No Signboard said, "Our Group is delighted and excited to lunch the very first Mom's Touch restaurant at Paya Lebrar Quarter in Singapore. Endowed with a near-central location, we believe that setting up our first outlet at Paya Lebar will enjoy the high footfall and good mixtures of office and residential crowd for Mom's Touch. The combination of Singaporeans' love for quality food and the deep appreciation of Korean culture and cuisines should propel Mom's Touch right into the hearts of the food endearing public. In addition, we would like to thank our franchisor and various business partners for their hard work in ensuring the successful launch of Mom's Touch first store in Singapore and their commitment to the project going forward."

A big congratulation to Mom's Touch again for the opening in Singapore. Hopefully, they will open up in the west area soon! Thank you for the invitation.
