I love the sunny weather toady. Blue sky, white clouds, no haze, what a beautiful day!
This beautiful day was not wasted, thanks to bf's sis who passed us two tickets to catch the NDP 2013 Combined Rehearsal 3.
I've been to the actual, to the preview but this is the first time watching the rehearsal. I was quite surprised there was still a lot of empty seats around, later I found out that they don't opened up the whole place during rehearsal one.
The sun was getting a little too hot to tolerate. Bf found a new way to counter that. To wear the cap sideway! Much better. Looks a little hip-hop too. SWAG!

I can't remember what happen during this part but suddenly got rainbow colour smoke come out. Haha.
Story telling time by the kids! There's story on Sister Island, Redhill, Sang Nila Utama, etc. What is most amazing is the backdrop behind (by humans) that would keep changing to form different images according to the story.
It's rock and roll time! Rock is the foundation.
Finally it's night time, and the performance just gets more exciting. It's really like turning the floating platform into a giant disco party.

* Fireworks *
This segment on the Merlion is really interesting. The cartoon merlion appears on the screen and told us how many years it has been watching the parade from far and how much it wanted to be present. However, the emo merlion is scare of water, that's why it has never moved before. After that, it was transported to the stage.

Many Stories. One Singapore! Really enjoyed myself at the parade. You really have to be there to feel the energy, see the fireworks, scream, sing, shout together with the people. It's different from watching on TV.
The most interesting item in this year's fun pack have to be this light stick. When extended, it goes up to 75cm long! It can be extended out with one big wave of the torch. A bit like the lightsaber in Star Wars. So fun!
