[Event] Affordable Art Fair Singapore 15th Anniversary Edition

The Affordable Art Fair, held at the F1 Pit Building, marks a special milestone with its 15th anniversary in Singapore this year. This year's edition features a total lineup of 83 local and international galleries, including 19 new participants, with 91 Singapore-based artists.

I managed to slot some free time to visit on the third day, and I brought my daughter along with me to browse and explore the different galleries. Here, I'm sharing some of the art pieces that I personally love.

I thought the artwork on the left really matches my girl's outfit today, so here's a photo. On a side track, whenever my girl wears this dress, I will help her tie up two ponytails as it resembles Poppy in Poppy Playtime, according to her.

The best part of art is that there's no right or wrong in art. Art is a form of individual expression and a reflection of one's inner self.

4 tips when it comes to buying art

1. Trust your intuition.

2. Take photos of your favourite artwork and also the booth number and artwork label.

3. Focus on how it makes you feel.

4. Have a budget in mind.

Special Projects

1. Moving Urban Landscape by Shin Yerin

A printed hanging installation, created using a 3D pen, combines art and technology to explore the cityscape and everyday life.

2. Spirit of the Apple by Li Shudan

Featuring limited edition hand-carved camphor wood apple sculptures. For each apple sculpture sold, $10 will be contributed to supporting caregivers.

Children's Art Studio by Art Wonderland and Republic Polytechnic

Themed '10,000 Leagues Below Singapore: Unveiling Hidden Treasures', here is where there's ongoing workshop targeted for kids.

Love the bold and vibrant colours for these artwork.

An artwork that stands out by itself.

For the Sanrio fans.

Cute anime artwork, we love this and went to search for this Japanese artist on IG - kamisukimifu.

Some of the many other artworks that caught our eyes too.

Exploring the Affordable Art Fair was a truly enriching experience. I felt inspired by the diverse array of art on display and I'm looking forward to next year's edition!

XOXO
