CELEBRATING SINGAPORE'S 55TH BIRTHDAY WITH A CONCOCTION OF TRADITION
With National Day just around the corner, Sunbird Brewing Company is celebrating this occasion with a special launch of the ONDEH-ONDEH PORTER. Traditional ingredients like gula melaka brown sugar and pandan have been concocted to create this distinct new flavour. For craft beer lovers, this is an honest treat infused in perfect harmony.
THE MASTERMIND BEHIND THIS SEASONAL BREW
With passion, determination and Steve Job's slogan to success - "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish", the mastermind behind this seasonal brew is none other than the Head Brewer and Director of Sunbird Brewing Company, Clive Tan. At a young age of 28, he is already a visionary entrepreneur and owner of Asia's leading craft brewery. Despite his young age as a brewer, he has already earned himself a strong brand and reputation as a brewer behind some of the top-selling craft beers across Asia's market. The incorporation of Sunbird Brewing Company as a regional brewery based in Singapore is his determination to leverage on his experience and sincerity to purses the culture of true to style craft beers that are sustainable and made with quality.

MEDIA TASTING AT ORH GAO TAPROOM CRAFT BEER BAR
A media tasting event was held at the Orh Gao Taproom Craft Beer Bar located at Serene Centre. This was also Sunbird Brewing very first tap takeover for the official launch. Being a neighborhood bar, the Orh Gao Taproom shares the same unit as the Kiliney Kopitiam which when evening comes, the entire premise will be transformed into a chill hangout area serving ice cold beer on tap (ten taps in total).
We had a cozy beer tasting session as we were served with the collection of craft beer styles from Sunbird Brewing Company. Starting with the lightest flavour, we tasted 5 different beers including the newly launch ONDEH-ONDEH PORTER before we finally picked our favourite to be served the full glass. Ondeh Ondeh is one of my favourite kuehs and I'm really curious about how it would taste like in a beer. We were also served with some small bites to go with the beers. Love the Prawn Paste Chicken Wings the most!

FLY IN LIGHT
(PALE ALE 5%)
Malty Pale Ale has been invigorated with Cascade. Chinook, Pacifica and Galaxy hops which have created a distinct fresh flavour. The passionfruit and citrus aroma will make you daydream you're living on a beautiful and embracing tropical island. Pretty light and is quite our favourite.
FLUFF UP
(BELGIAN WITBIER 5%)
The Belgian Witbier's light and fluffy body ending with a hint of herbal and citrus notes comes from the combination of raw wheat, oats, spice and orange peels. Was told that this is the ladies beer so Jessie and I was kind of looking forward to this.
BIRDS OF PARADISE
(WHITE IPA 5.5%)
The White IPA is an American style IPA and is light in colour with a creamy mouth feel accompanied by a bit of tartness from the Wit Yeast. Citrusy and Piney, perfect for the Festive Seasons.
ECLIPSE OF THE SUN
(SCOTTISH ALE 6%)
Scottish Ales are strong Ales, also known as "Wee Heavy". Traditionally, it goes through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. This produces a deep copper to brown in colour brew. It is sweet and full bodied with a much more pronounced malty caramel and roasted malt flavour.
ONDEH-ONDEH PORTER
(STOUT 6%)
Crafting new moments is this all new distinct flavour of ONDEH-ONDEH PORTER. Through hours of roasting and dedicated brewing, the oozy liquid of gula melaka together with the aromatic coconut and panda was carefully re-crafted into a specialty malt, producing a distinct roasted and caramel flavour.

Free islandwide delivery with a purchase of $65 and above will be provided.
