[EVENT] FIJI Water’s First Wellness Village in Singapore

FIJI Water is a natural artesian water bottled at the source in Viti Levu  (Fiji Islands). The specialty is that the bottle is untouched by man until you unscrew the cap appealing to consumers who strive for a healthier lifestyles and keeping in mind what is best for their body.

As we all know, water is the most important thing in keeping us alive and one of the most important factor in staying healthy by keeping our body hydrated. Therefore, to promote the two core values of FIJI Water's Brand, Health and Wellness, FIJI Water held their first one-day Wellness Village event at the Sapphire Pavilion of the Sentosa Siloso Beach.

FIJI Water Wellness Village, which was also opened to the public, welcomed a total participation of 200 visitors. Visitors not only could get themselves acquainted with the FIJI Water brand, but also to take photos with the colourful beach-themed floats, or simply just explore the F&B and lifestyle stalls - namely An Acai Affair, Dosirak, KITTED and Apres Avant that are curated specially for one's wellness needs.

The main highlight of this event was the two sundown yoga sessions by the beach, hosted by founder of Yoga Lab and also a prominent yoga instructor, Jasmine Chong.

I took part in the first session together with my blogger friend, Jessie. As I do not regularly workout, I couldn't really catch up with some of the more difficult yoga poses. I took this as a great opportunity for me to relax and have some time to myself to be surrounded by the beautiful sun, sand and sea.

There was also a lucky draw where a lucky participant won the grand prize of a pair of return flights to Fiji and a 5-night accommodation sponsored by Tourism Fiji.

I took part in their Facebook contest to win a pair of return flights to the Islands of Fiji as sponsored by FijiAirways as I uploaded my best FIJI Water moments taken at the Wellness village with their hashtags #FIJIWaterWellnessVillage and #FIJIMomentsSG but the winner wasn't me.

I have to say that the iconic square bottle was pretty cool and the taste did not feel any different from the usual water we drank except for the unique mineral profile.

Till date, FIJI Water has expanded globally to more than 80 countries and is the No. 1 imported bottled water in the United States.

[EVENT] A Total Laundry Solution Showcase by LG at Plentyfull

The LG Electronics (LG) Home Appliances Launch event was held at Plentyfull and I was amazed when I reached the place.  The whole cafe was turned into a showcase of the LG's Total Laundry Solution. We were being introduced to their new lineup of TWINWash® washing machines, dryers and the LG Styler™.

This total laundry system provides a solution for each step of the laundry process which will help to make household chores much easier. Users can even activate and do their laundry remotely as the equipments are all Wi-Fi® enabled and can be connected to the SmartThinQ® app. Let me show some of the highlights at the launch event.

LG TWINWASH® - WASH TWO LOADS AT THE SAME TIME

The LG TWINWash® washing machines make it so convenient for user as it is able to simultaneously wash and spin two loads of laundry at the same time.

This is useful for clothes that cannot be mixed together, such as the baby clothes, white clothes, lingerie etc. User need not wait another cycle to wash this separate load and thus helps to cut down the total time spent on laundry to cater for more me time. The mini washer can be used to wash daily laundry without wasting water. LG is proud to mention that they are the first in the World to launch this kind of washing machine in Korea, July 2015.

Another innovative features is the TrueSteam® technology and TurboWash™ function. The TrueSteam® technology penetrates fabrics with steam to eliminate 99.9% of household allergens as well as wrinkles and odors. On the other hand, the TurboWash™ function shortens washing cycle time and gives fabrics the proper care they deserve at the same time.

In order to cater to the small households in Singapore, the 2018 LG TwinWash® series comes with smaller-capacity models including washer-only and washer-dryer, with capacities of 8kg, 9kg, 8/5kg and 9/6g. There main units can be paired with the 2kg mini washer for handling the small loads.

Large families can take a look at the washer-dryer models FG1410H3W and FG1612H3W that boast 10/7kg and 12/8kg front-loaders respectively. These models can also be paired with a mini washer.

For multigenerational families or families with even larger loads of laundry to wash, the washer-dryer models F2718RVTV (18/10kg front-loader) and F2721HTWV (21/12kg front-loader), together with the 3.5kg mini washer T2735NTWV will makes an ideal choice.

LG DRYERS - ENERGY SAVING AND FAST DRYING OPTION

In addition to the new washing machines, LG has developed dryers that can protect the clothing while consuming less energy.

Their new dryers which comes with an industry-leading DUAL Inverter Heat Pump™ has been certified 5-tick from NEA, achieving the lowest energy consumption in Singapore market.

It's durable and reliable with the Dual 10 year Warranty so user can be rest assured for the next 10 years should there be any technical issues with the Dual Inverter compressor and Inverter Motor. Another function is that the dryer is able to maintain a low temperature drying to minimize shrinkage and damage to the clothings.

The appliances are also equipped with the Allergy Care cycle, which eliminates 99.9% of house dust mites, pet allergens and pollen to ensure clean and hygienic results. In addition, the Sensor Dry technology can detects moisture on clothing to automatically adjust drying time and temperature to their optimal settings. Good news for those who already owned a LG TWINWash® mini washers, the new dryers are compatible.

LG STYLER - SANITIZES CLOTHES AND DEHUMIDIFIES THE ROOM

Lastly,  the LG Styler™ completes the laundry care suite for special care items such as soft toys, pillows, duvets and more.

With the LG TrueSteam® technology, the LG Styler™ is able to sanitize clothes, reduce wrinkles and eliminate the unpleasant odors left behind by smoke, food and sweat. Thanks to a special door compartment, the LG Styler™ can also adds a precise crease to all the different types of dress pants too.

The LG Styler™ has another great function and that is to dehumidifies the room where it is installed. The sleep appliance makes an investment piece for the long run. Using the Refresh Mode, a 39-minute standard normal cycle once a day for 30 days will only cost around S$8 per month. The energy-efficient solution consumes only 178 watts on a two-hour dehumidify cycle.

From this showcase, I would say LG has shown their initiative to understand the diverse needs of the consumers and had innovated their products to go in line with those needs. The new line-up of the total laundry solutions appliances is able to caters for different households with different lifestyles and needs. Definitely something every home should have.

Random photos with the lovely Meryl and the refreshments we had at the event. So much to catch up with this lady as it has been a while we last met.

With the overwhelming choices of food available, choosing a meal has become one of the toughest decisions Singaporeans have to make. To make things even more complicated, very often, our cameras got to "eat first" and we tend to spend so much time taking and editing those food photos just for our social media posts.

To counter this phenomenon, Pizza Hut wants to bring back the simple pleasures of actually enjoying a meal or spending time with families and friends in good conversations with their slice of piping hot and delicious pizza.

A "Slice of Simple" with the New and Improved Pan Pizza

With a survey gathered from more than 100 participants, as well as the intensive brainstorming within the restaurant teams of what an ideal pizza meant, Pizza Hut launches their new and improved Pan Pizza. Personal Experience at the Pizza Hut's Buffet Fiesta

I was invited to their private pizza buffet at the Marina Square outlet whereby I get to taste all the iconic flavours of their new and improved pan 2.0 versions with my husband. It was great as I recall my very fond memories of how much I love their pan pizzas. The crust was soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The six available flavours for the pizza buffet are some of their most popular flavours which are Hawaiian, Chicken Supreme, Curry Chicken, BBQ Chunky Chicken, Meat Galore and Super Supreme. As the staff brought out the pipping hot pizza, you can choose whether to be served that particular flavour or to skip and try the next one. My favourite is the Chicken Supreme. The pizza buffet also comes with the Breadsticks & Soup of the day with 1 soft drink.

During the pizza buffet, we also get to meet the new GM of Pizza Hut Singapore, Paddy Rangappa who is a luminary authory and thinker with over 26 years in the food and FMCG business. Did you know, the first outlet of Pizza Hut was actually started in 1981 at Jalan Jelita? Now, Pizza Hut Singapore is the largest pizza chain restaurant in Singapore with 60 outlets.

[Personal] Busy play day at Busy Tables @ Rochester Mall

Great minds think alike. Both my boss and myself agree that a person should not work on his/her birthday and therefore he had granted me the birthday leave on my birthday even before I asked for it. To make this birthday worthwhile, I've decided to bring Rena out for a play day. After searching through many online reviews on Indoor playgrounds, Busy Tables appealed to me the most.

Located at Rochester Mall, which is just a few minutes walk away from Buona Vista MRT,  Busy Tables is not so much of an indoor playground, but more of a place where parents can let their kids learn and explore through the different toys available. The location is perfect for me as I stay in the west area.

Due to the fact that it was a Friday afternoon, the whole play area was empty when we arrived. What I liked most about this place is the safe and gentle environment and the educational toys available. Though I didn't have to deal with any rowdy kids running around, I had to keep an eye on Rena to ensure that she didn't take those little toys and put into her mouth. There was no restrictions as to which area Rena could play so she was free to roam around the whole place which was perfect given her limited attention span.

There used to be a Dark Room but now the toys had been moved out and the room had became a store room.

The sensory corner required my supervision most as the table had lots of small objects which Rena could choke on.

She was attracted to this toy that allows the balls to roll down but she kept holding two balls in her hand and hit it against each other.

After awhile, she started exploring the rest of the place as she tries to stack on huge legos, played with cars, and other toys. She just continued playing by herself and doesn't even allow me to carry her. She even skipped her nap time and I had to force her to drink her milk.

There was also a book corner which doesn't seems to catch her interest.

She got frightened by this distorted reflection of herself. LOL!

While Rena was busy playing, I was happily resting in a corner and taking photos of her. Another plus point is that I don't have to worry about the mess she creates as the kind staff there will know where to put back each and every toys after the whole session. Overall, I would say my leave was well-spent and I would be back again next time.
