[EVENT] Premiere of DBS SPARKS Episode 7: Stand by Me

Since the launch in February 2016, episodes 1 to 6 of Sparks, a mini series by DBS have already garnered more than 58 million views and over 5.5 million digital engagements across the region. Come 16th June 2017, the latest episode, EPISODE 7: STAND BY ME will be launched and available for online watching.

Starring Jamie Teo and Nathan Hartono as the young Adrian Pang (Chester), this episode sees us going back to the time when Chester met his first clients - a young couple who owns a small bus company.

Guided by values he holds close to his heart, he stands with the family through their successes and setbacks. It is a story of the triumph of the human spirit, a relationship forged over time, through each loss and every kindness.

I'm glad to receive the invitation to the exclusive premiere of this 7th episode held at the DBS Auditorium, Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 3. However, I was late for the show and only managed to catch the last part. Thus, like all of you, I would have to wait till 16 June 2017 to watch it online. I only know this would be a sad episode as Jamie Teo was saying she was crying the whole time during filming.

After the show, there was a 'Behind-The-Sparks Chat' by Karen Ngui, Managing Director and Head of Group Strategic Marketing and Communications, DBS Bank, with two of the new additions to the cast - Singapore artistes Nathan Hartono and Jamie Teo.

Nathan shared on how everything is about instant gratification and it's so easy to get the things you want. Thus, an advice to the young is to have perseverance. Work for the things you want, stick with it and be patience. Jamie advice to the young is to continue learning and be adaptable to different situation. Even a sales person got to learn to do paperwork.

A fun and candid group photo!

Star Struck moments!!

Refreshments served after the screening and chat session.

Beautiful quote, "Let no thing dim the spark within" in this personalized calligraphy memento for us to bring home.

From the DBS Auditorium, we proceed on to the DBS Marina Regatta at The Promontory at Marina Bay.

I recycled my empty plastic bottle and get a 4 digit number to exchange for a packet of tidbits.

During the preview, the Bay Dome is not ready yet so this time round, we went in to take a look. It was an amazing sight and super cooling in there.

We were just in time to catch Nathan Hartono singing live inside the Play Dome. He sang a total of 4 songs before he had to head to the Battle Bay with Jamie Teo for the showdown time as they compete in the 9-challenge inflatable water obstacle course. Didn't stay on to watch as I have to rush back for dinner but I managed to take some videos of Nathan Hartono singing. His singing and beat-boxing skill is too good! There's a part where he was just using his mouth to create the sound that of a saxophone. Check out the two videos I took below!
