My Singapore 2014: Moments of Love Concert is a concert of many themes. It's a Music, Charity and National Day concert! The official beneficiary of My Singapore 2014 is President's Challenge 2014 which supports a total of 64 different beneficiaries. Our President, Mr Tony Tan was the Guest of Honor for the concert.
A total of S$200,000 was donated in support of children's charities under President's Challenge 2014. This amount is based on proceeds raised and dollar-for-dollar match by CapitaLand Hope Foundation.

Title: The Water-Seller 卖水
This is an interesting Beijing opera performed by CapitaKid Guo Pingyan (15 years old) and Dunman High School student Zhou Fu Yi. Perhaps one would appreciate this opera more after knowing the story.
Story: "The Military Minister was falsely accuse of treason and his entire fortune was thus confiscated. His second son Li Yangui was driven to selling water to survive. Li Yangui sought help from the Minister of Rites Huang Zhang, but instead of helping him, the Minister seized the chance to dissolve Li's betrothal with his daughter. His daughter Huang Guiying had long admired the Li family's integrity and refused to break the engagement. She was depressed by her repeated arguments with her father. Her maid Mei Ying lures her to the garden and entertains her with a litany of flower names, while hoping to engineer a meeting between the two star-crossed loverbirds."
Title: Pursuit 追逐
An Inner Mongolian dance performance by CapitaKid Yang Jinfu (16 years old)
Story: "A lyrical tale expressing the dancer's desire to return to his hometown. The dancer dreams of the beauty of his hometown, its luscious grassland, the majestic horses galloping around the grassland and the flying wild geese. he wants to become a horse galloping home or a wild goose returning to his dream homeland."

Big thanks for the tickets! There are a lot of other songs that were performed but because I forget to bring my camera, all these are taken using my iPhone 5 which has limited quality and space. I keep having to delete some of my old photos and videos in order to take photos and videos of tonight's performance.
