Lady Gaga x FEMMEX Ultimate Fashion Party @ Zouk

FEMMEX, a local fashion label has collaborated with pop star Lady Gaga to present an exclusive fashion showcase which is inspired by the originality of Lady Gaga sense of fashion. This limited edition collection series highlights Lady Gaga's latest album, ARTPOP and will be unveiled at this Ultimate Fashion Party.

This Ultimate Fashion Party is also co-presented by Flesh Imp, in celebration of their 13th anniversary so we got to get a glimpse of their spring/summer 2014 collection as well.

Met up with Shu Qing for this event and we did some catching-up over dinner at Great World City before that.

Host of the night was DJ Rozz from Lush 99.5FM.

Special appearance by Daren Tan (Mata Mata, Channel 5) and Shigga Shay (famous for the song, LIMPEH) performed their unreleased single for the first time at the party.

Some of the top bloggers from Nuffnang like Melissa Celestine Koh, Valerie Lim (Miss Universe Singapore 2011), Erica Lim (tig3rlilyx), Jessica Tham (TippyTapp), Joanne Marie Sim, Fiona Loh as well as Melissa Faith Yeo (Model-Actress), Cordelia Daphne Low (FEMALE 50 Gorgrous People Winner 2013) are spotted sashaying down the runway in the highly anticipated Lady Gaga X FEMMEX collection!

Lady Gaga's outfit have always been the most talked about topic just like her music. Her music and fashion just reflect the way she is, bold and original. It just goes to show how successful she is when her style is being identified.

Fun moment of the event. Impersonated Lady Gaga (Kermit the frog outfit) who danced to the song "Applause"

At the end of the events, there's a contest to for those who dressed up in their best Lady Gaga-inspired costume. These three contestants were picked and they have to show some Lady Gaga's dance moves.

End of event. Bumped into Zerika and Deb before we left.

The Tiramisu Hero - Jess advance b'day + Pre-CNY gathering

One fine day, my dear friend Jess who have been going around exploring cafes in Singapore started a group chat for a gathering one week before her birthday. It was also to be our Pre Chinese New Year meet-up. Two cafes were short-listed and The Tiramisu Hero Cafe won with the votes of the majority.

The Tiramisu Hero is opened by popular blogger Peggy (commonly known by the online community as Sixpegs) and her other friend in 2013. I was the first to reach and I started taking photos by myself first.

While you are at the cafe, don't forget to leave some loose change to the Sir Antonio Cat Food Fund (aka tip box). All the money in there goes out to buying pet foods for some of the stray cats who lived around the cafe. This is one of the cats who've found herself a comfy spot.

Have to take a photo with this colourful windmill spotted outside. It just brighten my mood and let any worries spin away!

Selfie time ^^ So pretty I changed this to my Facebook profile photo right away.

The entrance of the cafe is a lawn with two benches by the side and it leads all the way to the two outside-seating tables which I'm sitting at.

The interior of the cafe. Notice how the wall is full of The Tiramisu Hero's mascot, Sir Antonio. The whole cafe feels very cozy without too much complicated designs.

Tiny light bulbs are wrapped around the ladders that makes it looks like sparkles in the ceilings. Very unique design. I like. Even Google + like this photo so much that it automatically adds in the snow effect with their Auto Awesome feature. So nice! It's snowing in The Tiramisu Cafe! Heehee.

Mounted on the wall is none other than the mascot, Sir Antonio's head! Lolol. What a great way to create many photos taking opportunities. This is actually a good thing to do while waiting for your food to come. With everyone's heads hidden inside, we all become Sir Antonio but still recognizable with the clothes we wore.

HAM & CHEESE WRAP $9.80

This is what I had. I love it very much. Healthy alternatives with lots of veggies and the melted cheese. Yummy.

CHEFCHEF CURRY BAKED RICE $12.50

Looks good, I didn't get to try it so I can't comment much. Think TZ mentioned that it's very unique and not like the rest of the curry rice he've ate before.

BANGERS WITH MASHED POTATOS $15

Assortment of gourmet sausages served with mashed USA potato. Jess ordered this and she shared it with us. One is spicy flavor, the other is cheesy. I think I was the first to clear my plate so I ate a lot of her sausages. Hahaha. Oops.

Thanks a lot to Jess for treating us to their signature Tiramisu! MommaHero comes in so many different flavours to choose from - Original, Strawberry, Lemon, Lemon Lavender, Cinnamon, Chocolate, Milo, Horlicks, Ovaltine and Oreo. I had the Oreo flavour.

Selfie time again! I have to update my profile photos for my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare and Whatsapp so I took a lot of selfies. Hahaha.

Decent group photo!

Yay, a photo with the co-founder, Peggy. I must really comment that we all had an enjoyable time at the cafe. I felt that even though the cafe is not big like restaurants, the ambiance and feeling is more at home. Moreover, we are able to take so many wonderful photos inside and outside the cafe for memories. Food is nice too and after eating still can go on to eat their desserts. Service is great too, water was refilled automatically and while clearing our plates, Peggy also personally came to ask us how we feel about the dishes.

Thank you, The Tiramisu Hero for featuring us on instagram!

We will be back again! ^^v

2014 First Post : Chewy Jas Resolutions + Cook + There's always room for King's Grand Ice Cream

Oh great! I'm getting a bit rusty and lagging in my blog. The last proper post I published here was last year! -_-||| So this being my first post for 2014, let me share with you some of my New Year's resolutions for 2014. I can already feel a positive energy after my unfortunate little accident that happened on the last day of 2013. (If you've followed me on instagram, you'll know what happened)

This year, I hope that I can really stick to my resolutions and not lost track halfway, so I really put in a lot of thoughts before coming up with them and it's a long list which I've saved in my iPhone. Shall just share two of them here.

         1. To keep fit, but not compromising with my eating habits. (Achievable)
This being said, I've got a wonderful colleague who is on par with me (in terms of stamina) so she will be motivating me to achieve this as we set our weekly exercise routine. If I could lose some weight, it will be a bonus to me because if you ask me to eat less, it's too torturous.
2. Get a marathon medal (Achievable)
Provided if no. 1 is on track. =)
My first attempt in cooking with b as mentor turns out better than I expected. Especially love the stir-fry broccoli with fish balls, crab meat and yellow capsicum. So bright and I just feels happy with a sense of satisfaction looking at it. Soup was just Campbell soup and we had too much onions so we just mixed with mushrooms in one dish and egg in the other dish.

Ta-Dah! Chef Chewy Jas's selfie! Wahaha. I'm so proud to say that my OOTD is a $2 pink and flowery apron from Daiso. Last piece some more. For those who say they can't cook, I just want to ask, if I can cook, why can't you? Cooking is really not that hard. Cut and prepare the ingredients, dump them into the wok, stir and flip and whatever until you can smell the aroma of the food, meaning it's ready.

Super love the things I got from Daiso. It's a shop that once you enter, you will never get out empty-handed. Got all these for our dessert later on.

After our "4 course dinner", we were really really bloated. Actually the food we cooked is for about 4 person but ended up only three of us ate. But you know what? They are right in saying there's always room for desserts! Dessert is simply a must have dish to end a meal with a smile. Thanks Dannelia for delivering the ice-cream to my door step.

So what's inside the freezer bag is this tub of King's Grand Crème Brûlée Ice Cream! Crème Brûlée is probably one of the most classic desserts in the world. First documented in 1691 in a French cookbook, Crème Brûlée comprises of a rich and creamy custard base topped with a disc of toffee crust. It's the perfect symphony of sweet and crunchy indulgences and gained traction as one of the most popular desserts served in numerous restaurants.

I really love the velvety goodness of the Crème Brûlée ice cream and there's even caramelized chips for an added crunchy sensation. I decided to add some Chinese New Year goodies - Love Letters to the ice cream for a better presentation.

Nice or not?

My selfie again. I'm using the love letter as a spoon to dip into the ice-cream. Great enjoyment!

King's Grand Ice Cream flavours include:

- Tin Roof Brownie
- Triple Chocolate
- Macadamia
- Cappuccino Chips
- Caramel Almond Fudge
- Tiramisu
- Green Tea (New)
Crème Brûlée (New)

Notice the new elegant-red tub packaging for King's Grand Ice Cream? Incidentally, this seems to resonate well with many this coming Chinese New Year as red is an auspicious colour and symbolizes happiness in the Chinese culture. So let me share a happy news.
