PLEATS PLEASE by fashion designer ISSEY MIYAKE is a new fragrance that is newly launched. Was very glad to receive invitation to this exclusive launch party held at Paragon.
Do you know that the Pleats Please garments collections actually originated from the costumes for dancers? It was designed for Ballett Frankfurt with pleats in a piece named "The loss of small detail." The method of pleating allows the flexibility of movement for the dancers. It also represents unrestricted expression and unimpeded movement.
PLEATS PLEASE new fragrance is named exactly after Issey Miyake's signature bright and meticulous pleating fashion collection. This sweet floral fruity fragrance is every bit as vibrant as his designs.
The fragrance opens with nashi, a hybrid of apples and pears (Oops! Sounds like some apple and pear soup that I have for dinner?) which quickly changed to a more floral scent of peony and sweet pea. The base carries patchouli, cedar, vanilla absolute and white musk. It's a feminine fragrance that would catch other's attention, perfect to use for that special date!
The quirky bottle design is created to resemble Issey Miyake's iconic Bao Bao bags completed with a pleated white flower cap.
Cupcakes as refreshments for us. I anyhow pick the red one (wrong choice) and ended up the red coloring stains my lips and teeth so badly that I can't smile with my mouth open.
PLEATS PLEASE tester paper.
Goodie bag consisting of the following
- L'Eau D'Issey Florale Eau De Toilette
- L'Eau D'Issey shower cream
- Pleats Please Eau De Toilette
- L'Eau D'Issey Body Lotion
Lastly, a group photo with @iamyeoterence @william82sg @dipmecocoa @hengshuqing and @hpility ! Have been rather inactive recently and glad to see familiar faces after so long.
