Happy Halloween~! Sakae Sushi and Horrorthon @ Marina Square

I think Halloween should be made a public holiday here. Isn't it often being said that we are not socializing much with our neighbours as we had long adapt to our closed door policies. Halloween will be a great door opener as we go around tricks or treating. Cool right? It's also a day whereby we can be "devils". Vampires, Zombies, bats or even pumpkins. Too bad it's not a public holiday here and not many people knows how to celebrate. Even have to work on this day. Sigh.

Dine at Sakae Sushi with bf and Samena. It's a very long awaited treat from me. LOl. Kept ordering from the menu and we ended up too bloated to finished the sushi so we just ate the topping and leave the rice behind.

After which bf left as he did not buy the tickets to watched Horrorthon. Samena and I continued to shop. My aim was to buy a decent shoe as I could feel the sole falling out. Who knows, the sole came out 3/4 when I was just outside Charles and Keith. Fated to buy from there but I didn't get the first shoe I set my eyes on as it ran out of my size. Samena also bought a pretty elegant white shoe for work. Heehee.

Finally it's time for HORRORthon!!! Consisting of 3 horror movies. Halloween 1, Halloween 2 and Saw VI. The first two movies are CRAPS!! I gave them ZERO stars. It's a total waste of my time and money to watch such a lame movie. The storyline has got no story line and the whole movies are all about stabbing, kicking, punching and saying the F* word. OMG~ Really can fall asleep but will be awaken by the shrill sound effect and the sound effect is the only factor that makes the movie scary. Saw VI is better. I give it 7/10 for its storyline. Though it's not so much of horror at all too.

Scare Pills which are just cheapo jelly beans. -_-" Though we got free flow pop corns and drinks. We didn't really make full use of that. Didn't even manage to finish our first round of pop corns and drinks how to go for second round?

When it was time to leave, we saw many many branded cars parking outside with their hazard lights on and traffic police monitoring. Guess it's some kind of VIP event again.

Gathering @ FEP w MoO MOo Friends

It's so true that Singapore is a food paradise. We have food from all over the world. Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western.
PSH recommend to us to try out this Korean style food at
SU KOREAN CUISINE
Not need to fly over to Korean and we got to taste the full course of the Korean dishes. I was already cold, tired and famished on my way to Far East Plaza so I am immediately turned on after seeing all these food. Especially drinking the hot Ginseng chicken soup, it just cheers me up despite the gloomy, rainy weather.

Oh ya, Halloween is coming!
Asked them to take a photo here and they say they are afraid?
Where got scary?
-_-"

..........................................................................................................................

*HIC*
A little thoughts on today's gathering.
First the discussion of the Christmas day meet up is quite weird.
The so many "cannot buy" list is the part that I can't fathom.
"No chocolate, no mugs, no decorative things, no body shops, no this, no that and this list can go on forever.
So why not say what you all want instead? I suggest.
And the answer is one word "Branded!"
LOL.
Okie. Like what they say, we are all working adults, how can our presents be so childish?
Increased the budget to a whooping $80! Hoho.
I don't even remember they set such a high budget during birthday.
Birthday can no need give presents but Christmas must. Why leh?
Aren't birthdays more important then Christmas?
We are not even Christians. Hmmm.
Perhaps Christmas is a standard gift exchange day like what SL analyze de.
I'll just take it that way then. :)

HP Private Sales @ Tangs

Went to the HP Private Sales at Tangs. It was a midnight private sales affair at Tangs and being a member with Tangs I easily get the invitation to go. Dine at my favourite Ayam Panyet at Lucky Plaza before going to FEP to shop. Bought some birthday presents there and bf went up to find his friend who coincidentally had a manicure and pedicure shop there. Since it was quite late, I didn't do my nails there. About 9.45pm we left FEP and walked to Tangs. We thought we could stay in the shopping mall and wait till 10.30pm which is the official starting time of this midnight sales. However, the staff asked us to leave. We were asked to wait at the lift lobby until 10pm+ before the registration starts. I wasn't so tired but bf was like wanting to sleep already. Finally, the door opened. We walked in through the red carpet like VIPs and collected our freebies. After which, we browsed the HP product. I was quite tempted to buy a 3-in-1 printer + Scanner + Fax machine but give up the thoughts eventually. Since we got nothing to buy, we went to the other section that provides us with free massage and free make-up. Quite shiok. After the makeover, bf and I were asked to take photos with the laptop. It looks like we are the ambassadors. Haha.

Bro Tecky back from Tekong ! ! !

Bro Tecky is finally out of the Tekong Camp. Look at him now. . . So skinny and tanned. I wish I had his tanned complexion. Haha. Anyway, it's still good to be back home and he still prefer home bed to the six inch spring bed inside. LOL. See how wide his smile is. I hardly see him smile so happily. Haha. Heard from him a great deal of things inside. He told me he had no time to bath. There's two, three days whereby he have to sleep without bathing. Eww. He also stand all the way from Pasir Ris to Clementi. OMG. What rule is that? Even if there's seats they cannot sit down? Maybe they are afriad that once they sit down, they would fall asleep and might accidentally missed the chance to give up a seat to those needy and you know with the wide used of camera phones around. Those who displayed such action would get a photo shot sent in to STOMP and get instant "recognition". I dislike those people who always take photos of people sitting in trains and commenting that they did not give up their seats. What if it's the old people who rather stand? I've encountered before ok, I asked the old lady want to sit down not, she say no leh. Cause next stop is her stop ma. Then, others who didn't see would assume that I didn't give up my seat. ZZZ. So I rather take bus. Haha. Other then not enough time for bathing, they have to go through water parade - forced to drink down water to prevent heatstroke. Then bro told me he failed the Standing broad jump and pull up. :( Tough. In poly he can pass one leh. Oh ya, and for those who still think they will push those who can't swim down the swimming pool and let them to drown or to swim by themselves, you are having the old perception of army. Now, they have remedial lesson if one don't know how to swim. Special instructor would teach them step by step one. First is to learn to float and there's the positive and negative floater. So good lo. Free eat, free sleep, free swimming lesson. On rainy days, they will go for lectures. Seems fun if one's physical abilities foundation is well build up.

Kbox with poly friends @ Marina Square

I love KTV with them! It was so fun! :)
We complained so much in the beginning.
I think the young guy who service us cannot stand us anymore.
Teeheehee.
Complained about the small room.
Also the small TV screen and worst the lousy remote control that will works only when you point
it directly at the small stupid sensor. OMG
Now I think Partyworld is so much better then Kbox.
Bf said he shall not sing but in the end he still sang just as much songs as us!
MIA is Cindy, Ly, Jason.
Sigh, all because of work they couldn't make it.
Our package is until Kbox closed which is at 3am.
Of course we couldn't stayed till that late.
There's work tomorrow.
Only make it till 12am+
Towards the end someone came and weird weird de.

SPA Infinity @ Far East Shopping Centre

This is by far the BEST Massage I've went to so far. I like their massage because I really can feel the effect after it. Really had a very good sleep that night. After the Tui(1) Na(1) massage done by a China lady. Throughout the massage, the China lady keep telling me that I have a very bad posture at work because my backbone is crocked and the only way to get it straight is by going to massage often or swimming. I remembered I tick soft at the beginning of the survey for the strength of massage but ended up it's still so pain. The most painful part got to be my butt. -_-" So the China lady say I sit down too often already and blood circulation is poor. Got choice meh? OL is like that one ma. Morning sit till lunch then come back sit again. Haiz. What to do? After the massage, we got asked into a room, this is the time whereby the PR manager will come and try to sell us their packages. For Spa Infinity, their system is go buy points. A few thousand dollars per year will entitled you to all the available choices. Not only many types of massage, there's also Waxing, facial, slimming etc. There's even a complimentary dinner from the cafe. I am so tempted to sign right on the spot lo but too bad my partner is not eager enough. It's not cheap actually but never mind, I can still go there for single session I think. The PR manager looks disappointed that she couldn't close our case but still did not show any attitude. That's the most important thing. Hate those people who show attitude when we didn't sign. We've got our rights okay? Before we left, we got to enjoy unlimited Jacuzzi and Steam bath + Cold bath. Damn Shiok!!! I was there all by myself in the big jacuzzi as I think that day being a weekday not much people came. Woohoo. I don't really enjoyed the steam bath as it makes my specs turned misty and couldn't see a thing.

Lunch treat at PineTree Country Club and Shopping at FEP

One of the FSC won the second prize in a competition so she treated us and one of her client for a DIM SUM lunch at PinesTree Country Club. Ate a lot of prawn. After eating, all went our separate ways. Got a ride from Alvin to and fro the place. After eating so much don't feel like going home to do nothing so since he dropped us at Far East Plaza, me and Julie went there to walk walk and shop shop. It's been a while since I last went shopping and buy clothes. So this time, I really bought a lot. Bought skirt and dresses. Heehee. Realized that the Korean fashion are very IN now. Korean bands and so popular and there's Korean dramas, Korean foods. Heehee.

Bro Tecky BMT @ Tekong!!! *Excited*

Had it not been for my brother, I doubt I would have this chance to go to another island of Singapore called Pulau Tekong. The place whereby the recruits would stayed for at least two months and coming back to the mainland only during weekends. I guess I am the only one in the family who gets all excited about going there. My brother, he seems a bit uneasy. My mother was worried and had gone to the temple the previous day to get a talisman and pray for my brother's safety after hearing so many ghost stories about that place. My father was calm and emotionless as usual. We were there on time even though we made a lots of U-turn
s back home. First, my mum didn't bring her IC out. Second, the attire dressed were not according to the letter stated. It's quite strict one. No slippers, bermudas, shorts but actually when you are there, it seems like a lot of people don't understand this rules. LOL. After we reached Pasir Ris, we still had to take a shuttle bus to the ferry pick-up point. The scene was like those kids attending primary school for the first time with the parents bringing them along hand in hand. However I don't think I saw any crying scene here. Okay la, guys cannot cry also can only shed blood.

Penguin Ferry that will bring us to the island. It was just like a normal ferry one take when we go to places like Batam. Nothing special over here and I got a bit bored so I started using my HP to go FB. From there, just one comment it attracted quite alot of different comments. It's like i'm doing a live broadcast of the series of things that's happening at my side and those who had previous experience also add on to the comments.

Finally we reached Tekong!
Big welcome to us visitors.

Look at this banner about BMT. What a motivating quote.

NOTE: 10km/hr. No running allowed. Please walk that speed. Hahaha. Cute sign spotted at the passageway.

Another wall paper.

We were only allowed to walk together with bro for this short while. Once we are inside we were being separated. Enlistees one side, parents the other. *SAD* We keep wondering what bro is going through at the other place. Will he came out with a Botak head to meet us afterward? Or will he be changed out of his home
clothes? Meanwhile, we were being brought to this place and given a brief description of what are the items found in the field pack. The man on the left ah, I thought is a fake guy lo. He is standing there so still as we walked pass him then my mum go and asked me to guess he's real or fake and I go say so loud FAKE One la. Then, we both saw he blink his eyes. OMG. SO PAISEH CAN.

After the briefing, we were brought to the place where they will stayed. My bro co's is called Gryphon Platoon 1. Gryphon as found in Harry Potter. Looks like hostel right?

The inside of their room. The cupboard with private and public section which will be spot checked on a regular basis. The 6 inch spring bed not like last time 2 inch only. So comfortable lor.

G for Gryphon. 1 for platoon. 2 for section. 08 for bed number.

The two pails are for them to wash their dirty clothes in. =S Their so called "Washing Machine" Haha.

After that we came to this room called the annex room. It's like their recreation room BUT it will all depends on whether they've got the chance to come in here or not.

Their canteen.

Spotted my bro's name on the list.

It's time for us to gather in this auditorium. Here we witness the saying of vows by all of them. They were already quite well discipline as they will replied YES SIR NO SIR when being asked to answers questions and they must be loud. If not loud will have to repeat again.

After that, the guys all left first followed by us. They were forming two lines outside in a row and we as parents have to walk along the corridor trying to spot bro. Bro hasn't got his head shaved yet. He said he just went to hear a talk only. Together we went to the canteen and collect our late late lunch or early dinner of the day. It was 4pm+ already. I was super hungry le. We got a plate of fried drumstick rice with some veggie and soup and mango pudding. The time we finished eating is the time we had to say goodbye. From there, we went back and bro stayed. Till two weeks later will he be allowed to come out. I hope he will be safe in there.
