SICK - half day MC

I was feeling sick the moment I wake up. Feeling cold and shivery. Went to see doctor near my workplace and the doctor being nice and friendly issued me MC for today and tomorrow. Still went back to work because it's the last day of the month. Closing period. So busy. Until 12pm plus, my colleagues all saw how pale I looked so they rushed me home. Today is also karen last day of work. :( sad. Next time the seat beside me will be empty until the new replacement gal is here. Walked out of the office feeling very weak. Weak until like no strength want to die already still die die want to take this chance go BBDC to obtain my PDL (Provisional Driving License). After queueing and waiting and taking a short eye test, I finally gotten my PDL! There's one woman who even borrowed a spectacle from a stranger just so that she can pass the eye test. Win liao lo. The eye test very cute one. Make you look inside an equipment like a microscope, then asked you to identify three different colours to test for colour blindness. Then, is to asked you what the letter "E" is facing. Faced up, left, right or down. Lucky I got all correct. Took a cab home cause cannot make it liao. Spent the rest of the day sleeping and coughing and sneezing. :( BOO. Lucky no fever. If not might get qurrantine for H1N1 hor. I hate being sick. Make me felt so helpless and down.

Complementary Detox Massage at Vedure

post

I liked their massage service. The ambiance and quietness of the whole place really gets me into a relaxating mood. It's the kind of place to go to after a long and stressful day at work. Haha. After the session, we were served hot tea and biscuits as the young lady introduced us to the package. We listened politely but didn't sign up. She is okay with our decision too and still smiled and remain friendly to us, opening the door for us and saying bye to us. If it were some other places, they will tried all means and ways to lure you to sign up packages. If you don't they'll turned nasty.

Pak Tor @ Hort Park :)

Double date with my parents and bf to the Hort Park. It's somewhat like Botanic Garden but here, I found alot more unique flowers, plants and herbs. We also had fun playing at the playground and taking photos there. The only thing that I think needs improvements is that there's a lack of signboard. Signboard to tell me the names of everything there.

Welcome to the simple life at Hortpark. Here, you will experience and see the natural and sunny side of Singapore. Please get ready for your sun block lotion as the sun will be very strong at this point of time which is 4pm in the afternoon.

Rows and rows of cactus. Strangely when I bought one myself, the flower just won't bloom. It eventually shrinked up and died. =(

The leaves of this plant looks like there's alot of thorns on it but actually the thorns are soft so it's safe to touch.

Ahh. This is a dangerous plant. The insect trap. We used a stick to pop inside the leave and slowly the leave closed up. So if you are an insect, once you crawl in, there's no way you can escape cause firstly your tiny feet will be glued by the sticky liquid the leave will produce and secondly, the leaves will close up tightly, suffocating you to death. Really scary!!!

Bamboo labyrinth. So green, so nice. Looks like some chinese paintings and there's steps telling you how to walk through this 'path of life'.

This plant is equally cute. Like mini pots.

B-A-N-A-N-A tree. Both the flower and the fruits looks disgusting. =X. No wonder so many ghost stories are usually associated with banana trees.

It's a heart shape!

Last time in my primary school, we have a mini garden that is full of this flower. My friends and I would pluck some out to suck the sweet liquid inside. Haha. It's funny cause it seems like we just knew the liquid inside is safe for consumption but I can't rembered the name of this flower.

Giant Pea or what?

Taking a break on the stone.

I thought sunflowers love sunlight, but these sunflowers definitely think the sunlight is too strong for them. Look at how wrinkled they've become.

Too bad the cooling house is not opened. The flowers inside are much much nicer and prettier.

We amazed ourselves with this maze. Looks simple, but needs lots of co-ordination if you are playing it with other people. For me, it's too heavy to play alone.

My parents took like 15 minutes to complete the maze. Their teamwork not very good. Haha.

Nice photos. Sometime I think it's not about how good a camera one use, it's about the object you are to capture. How beautiful they are. Look at these photos. I took them just with my not so good camera and they turned out so nice.

Photos of me. ^^

Haha. We saw the two penguins and sadly from far, we really mistaken them as dolphins.

Our 2 years 4 months celebration @ Aerin's Raffles City + Funny Mannequin + CHEAPEST Shop in SG

Went to Raffles City thinking that I can redeemed a free SK II 30ml miracle water sample, however it was already out of stock. Another sample too. This shows how fast free gifts got snapped up like hot cakes.

Radomly, bf and I choose this restaurant called Aerin's. By the rate I'm eating all these good food, I think I am eligible to start a food blog soon. Wahaha. There's this chinese saying 能吃是福. So I never felt that eating good food is a sin, anyway, we worked hard to get the salary and we should pampered ourselves once in a while.

I kind of love the ambiance there. Having dinner next to the Raffles City fountain, hearing the water splashing with a rhythematic tune. It's also a good place to watch people walks by and get people-watched with it's open-setting.

The menu that offers a wide range of food.

Our drinks.

The baked apple and Rhubard Pie.

Beneath the vanilla ice cream and
the crispy pastry, you can find a sweet and sour mixture of apples.

See the many awards they've gotten?

We saw these two mannequin with postures that straight away reminds us of what we learnt during BTT. The traffic police signals. Of course the two mannequin have a better pose.

<-- All vehicles from all direction to STOP.

Vehicles from the front and back to stop.
Vehicles from the left and right may proceed.

My present to love love. Big size hor? It looks so ridiculous on my small feet. My feet only size 5 and his is size 11!

Next, we found Singapore's CHEAPEST shop. Look at their signboard! Indeed, the goods inside are all cheap. T-shirt selling at $1.90. Even cheaper then pasam malam, I tell you.

*Blogger is so screwed up, messed up my photos and I can't arrange them accordingly. Must be some bugs error. Argh*

UP in Singapore Cinemas opening 7th August 2009

Coming 7th Auguest 2009, one movie by Disney Pixar would be opening in cinemas island wide. The name of the movie is so short, consisting of only two alphabets. U and P = UP. Yes. UP is the name of this movie. Up, up and away, the house flies into the sky by the strengths of thousands of balloons. Don't you think it's amazing? To be able to come up with such a storyline, I bet the script writer of this movie is a young kid at heart. When I was young I also used to imagine myself holding lots and lots of balloons and floating around. Of course that did not happen at all. Hehe. In order to get a preview of what the movie is about, I've embeded a YouTube video below showing the trailer of this movie.

After watching the trailer, I felt that it seems almost mission impossible for Carl and Russell to be going on this balloon flying adventure together due to their differences in character. It definitely would interest me to go watch the movie to see what the stubborn and grumpy Carl and the optimistic and persistence Russell would encounter during this journey. I think the two of them would build up a great chemistry during the journey.

Photos of the cast in the movie. From left to right. Carl, Russel, Dug, Kevin.

Dug and Kevin are the two new characters they've met during this journey. Dug is a talking Golden Retriever and he sounds almost robotic and Kevin loves chocolate.

95.8FM Save the Earth @ Cash Converter JE and Boss House for Lady Boss Bday

Being a listener of this particular radio station, mum is very aware of the updates and events they organised. This time round, it's a charity event that needs us to give them whatever we do not need but still can be used to the cash converter. The cash converter will in turn give them the money and the money they get, they will donate it to the charity. We get a goodie bag and my parents also get to take a photo with one of the Deejay.

Next I went to my boss house to celebrate lady boss birthday. We had potluck and ktv session. The main highlight of the day was pushing N to the swimming pool. Wahaha.

Harry Potter and the Half blood Prince

It's Movie Max's 1 year anniversary! In order to thanks their members, they sent their members free movie ticket to be the first to catch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Price. Bf was one of the lucky ones.

We had a nice dinner at Sakae Sushi. Sometimes I wonder those sushis going round and round the conveyor belt. Are they fresh? Or have they go round for many rounds already? What if some cheeky people go and add some "extra ingredients" inside, will they be caught?

Our movie was scheduled at 10pm. After dinner it's only 8pm. Two more hours to go, and there's not much to shop at Tiong Bahru so we head to the Heart Spring Spa to have a 30 minutes foot massage. You look at me, that was the expression before the foot massage. Relax and felt like sleeping on the comfortable sofa. However, that expression was never seen again during the whole session of the foot massage. Don't know why, it was super duper pain throughout. I guess it's partly due to the fact that it was a guy who helped with the foot massage. Guy have more strength right? Every point he press to was pain and pain and more pain!! Unbearable pain. I keep requesting him to go softer but he say he didn't even use strength! Omg. After the massage, I don't feel much better, my feet were cold. It's not a good sign he said. He said after massage and blood circulation the feet should feel warm.

Finally it's time for the movie! Yippee. Great movie. Makes me wanna read the noval from book 1 to book 7! Haha.
