Bye Bye 2008. Hello 2009. VIVO Countdown

My last dinner of 2008 was at Vivo City's Secret Recipe with Bf, Lynn Xiao Mei, Miki, Lis and Cindy. Unlike previous years, I had my countdown with a group of friends. Heehee. Thanks to Mediacorp for giving me the tickets to the Vivo City Countdown.

I may look like I'm enjoying this bowl of laksa, but seriously I'm not. Exchange this bowl of Laksa with bf for a more edible lagsana. LOL. My friend was shocked I ordered laksa. She thought I wanted to order lagsana but don't know how to pronounce it. *Faints*

The kids meal is damn cute. See how cute their fries are. Stars and moon shaped one. Why our fries are always the usual, boring rectangular shape huh?

Waiting for our dinner to be served. These two photos are taken before I had my laksa but I'm too lazy to move them up. After dinner, the six of us went to Giant to buy some sweets and mineral water. We were laughing like mad throughout. This can be considered my first time organizing an "Outing" for so many people. Total 8 person, but the other two are still working so they only join us later.

While waiting for our turn to enter, we realised that water bottles are not allowed in. For security reason, they are afraid that maybe we would throw the water bottles at the VIPs. We still blur blur buy 1.5L de mineral water. In the end, have to throw.

The show is a mini competition between the two hottest show airing currently. First group is "Xin Hua Duo Duo Kai". Second group is "Little Nonya". Judging based on how loudly the claps are for the two groups. Little nonya won in the end. Bf supported the other group cause his favourite Felicia Chin is there as group leader. Hoho. Lynn and I supported Little Nonya and we clapped until our hands also turned red. Very funny.





After the countdown from Vivo, we also countdown with those at Marina Bay. Everyone stood up and tried to catch a glimpse of the fireworks through a small opening. LOL. Many people are still facinated by fireworks la.

At last, the countdown is over, truly enjoyed myself. I hope 2009 would be a great year for me, my family and my friends.

Hungry Monkey @ Mac Ritchie's bus stop

Next time if you see so much rubbish on the floor, do not assume it's people practicing their aiming skill with their rubbish and missed the rubbish bin. There could be some "Monkey Business" going on.

Anyway, this hungry monkey caught our attention when my mother and I alight at the Mac Ritchie's bus stop. No, we were not going there for cross country, but we were going opposite to Mediacorp to collect the countdown ticket at Vivo which Mediacorp promotion team kindly gave me.

Not sure if I ever had another chance to go there again, so better snap one picture with the trademark logo first.

The reception area is the furthest we can enter. The inside of the premises have to had a card to entered. We can't even visit the canteen. Wonders what it is like inside. Anyway, I requested for 6 tickets but they gave me 8 tickets in the end. Two more extra! Yippees~~ :D

Meet-Up with Frenz for Post Xmas

I am out of the house the whole day. Having two post-Christmas celebrations. One with Miki in the afternoon and the other with my poly friends in the evening.

We had so much choices for lunch at Vivo but still we choose our most familiar place - Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant.

Both of us is busy unwrapping our gifts, can't wait to see what is inside. Haha.

Miki: "I've finished unwrapping your present le, why are you so slow huh?"

Jas: "Wahaha, you sure or not, I think still have another layer lo!"

BF: "I've got no present, only this broken straw. :( "

TWILIGHT

This movie is so-so only. It's not even a horror movie although it's a movie on vampires. No! Not scary at all. It's just pure romance, about this teenage gal falling in love with Edward the Vampire. Hohoho. Human and Vampires, Vampires loves human blood so can they be together? Go watch and find out ba or better still borrow the novel to read. Don't waste the movie ticket. Haha.

Dinner at Bugis's Seafood Harvest. Bf is so hungry waiting for his food that he had to eat the paper. LOL.

Gift exchange time again. OMG, all my presents? HAHAs

No No No! Those presents are for us to pick one. I've gotten Elisa's Tissue box protection wrapper. Pinky~ Elisa got mine - Puzzle with frame. Cindy got bracelet, Ailing got lollipop-shaped soap and ly got bath soap.

To end the dinner, we had a group photo. MIA Stel as she went to Taiwan for holiday. MIA Ly's bf as he had to work. All of us did not changed much except for Elisa's new hairstyle. I'm gonna change mine soon too. Look out for my new hairstyle hor?! Haha.

To end the day, we went TCC for drinks and at the same time plan for the next outing.

Bf x'mas special drink was the MIDDLE of attraction.

X'MAS EVE

HOHOHO, as you all know, I am clearing my annual leaves. Thus I am on leave for every possible day that I could take before month end but today, x'mas eve, I let my colleague take leave, so I went back to office to work. Anyway, it's half day so no lose at all. Hehe. Rained damn big in the morning that I felt abit relunctant to get out of bed. Decided to take a different route to work. Instead of going to Sunset Way to take bus 61, I went to central to take bus 14. Reached office super early. I was the first and only one to reach office. 9am, still nobody reached. 9.05am, received a SMS asking me to help carry umbrella down. So all got stuck in the jam except me. Hahaha. Went up again and saw bf's friend who also just started working in AIA in the lift. LOL. Work was pretty relaxed except for the goldedn board. Before boss come back from vacation, I need to removed all the datas of 2008 and get ready for 2009. Tough jobs but luckily I got helper. Really have to thanks my big helper, or else, I think I would have to work full day. Left for home and since weather so bad, so not in the mood to ask friends out for countdown. Just stay home and countdown with my family and bf.
