[EVENT] SINGAPORE MOTORSHOW 2016

The Singapore Motorshow is back for a second year after its success in 2015! This year, the Singapore Motorshow 2016 promised to be bigger and better, spanning two floors at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from 14th January (Thursday) to 17th January (Sunday). It will feature more than 20 new launches, as well as a showcase of stunt driving by Russ Swift, competitions and entertainment.

Car enthusiasts can find car accessories as well as non-vehicle exhibitors such as services at Level 3 while the whole of Level 4 will be dedicated for the cars display. There are more than 10 non-vehicle exhibitors participating. This separations gives more room to the main attractions of any motorshow which are the cars.

We went to the Shell booth at B316 to participate in 4 activities which educates us on the latest innovation in motor oil, Shell Helix PurePlus and Shell's V-Power Nitro+ Premium Gasoline. The completed card was shown in exchange for a door gift. Shell Escape members can even receive a Shell Helix Ultra Gift Pack and 2-hour complimentary car park coupon!

This year's motorshow also feature multiple live radio shows from Mediacorp and we happened to see the live broadcast of Y.E.S. 93.3FM Xie Jia Fa and Lin Pei Fen with Chew Chor Meng.

While you are there, don't forget to get the tickets for Russ Swift's stunt-driving performance sponsored by Subaru at this counter. Tickets will be available free for collection, on a first-come-first-served basis an hour before each show and must be collected in person upon presentation of a valid entrance ticket. As there is a limitation to 350 tickets per show, the tickets for the 4pm show was fully redeemed. I can still recall how exciting it was as I've witnessed his thrilling performance last year. He can drives on two wheels and many other stunts. See my blog post last year here.

Some of the Car launches and showcase at Singapore Motorshow 2016

The new Audi R8. This is the first time the brand's sporty top model is shown in Southeast Asia. Features like the user configurable Audi Virtual Cockpit that presents all key information at a glance is developed exclusively for the driver. The 5.2-litre V10 enables breath-taking performance.

This sixth-generation BMW 7 Series has made yet another breakthrough by introducing new technologies such as carbon core that reduces overall weight by up to 130kg, and a full suite of innovations like Touch Command, Gesture control, Sky Lounge with Panorama Glass Roof, just to name a few. This all-new BMW 7 Series is a masterpiece built with the highest quality and absolute precision.

The all-new DS5 from Citroen captivates and commands you attention at every turn. At its centre is the unmistakable DS logo, complemented by a distinctive chrome DS wing front grille. Jewel-like lights blend LED and Xenon technology with hypnotic effect to exude a level of luxury never seen before.

The Lexus GS F is powered by a specially developed high-revving 5.0L V8 engine that produces 470 BHP and 530 Nm of torque. Notable for its exhilarating power, outstanding smoothness, excellent response and steadfast reliability, the Lexus GF S is the latest and boldest expression of the F philosophy.

The all-new Toyota Prius extend beyond the car's proven environmental credentials with a more stylish and attractive design. It has changed perceptions and helped raise the status of alternative energy vehicles from the niche products to game-changers.

Out of so many different cars that are being featured, I find this Subaru VIZIV 2 concept most interesting! Look at that two ring lights and batman car style. Just wow!

I guess the main reason why I went to the Motorshow is to meet and support my dear friend working these 4 days for Infiniti, a luxury car brand. It's really not an easy job having to stand in heels for long hours. Shall go Cafe hopping together soon! ^^

Getting our instant photo print outs from the booth. Simply whatsapp our photos to a given handphone number and we can choose to print them out! Cool technology.

Thank you for the media invite. Tickets to the Motorshow event are priced at $6 per entry at the ticketing counter on Level 3 and is free to anyone below 120cm in height. Tomorrow is the last day to visit and they are open from 10.30am - 8.00pm.
