Red Bull Stratos - POSTPONED of the Mission to the Edge of Space launch date

ATTENTION !!!

Due to the bad weather condition in Eastern New Mexico over the weekend, the Red Bull Stratos Mission to the Edge of Space launch date will be delayed from the initial scheduled 8th Oct 12 to 9th Oct 12,  8 pm, Singapore time. Remember to catch this mission LIVE at

The reason for the delay is due to a strong cold front with sharply colder temperatures, low clouds and some drizzle that will be moving through Eastern New Mexico over the weekend. While the weather will greatly improve on Monday with clearing skies and warmer temperatures, wind speeds are expected to be above acceptable levels for a safe launch.

According to Don Day, this delay is actually good news because usually a day or two after this type of cold front moves, the weather will be favorable for a balloon launch.

This delay does not hinder the preparations on site. Felix Baumgartner and the team will still go through the same 7 hours pre-launch procedure in the dress rehearsal from Friday to Saturday.

I will definitely be staying at home to watch the live telecast on Tuesday and to give my biggest support to this brave guy here for breaking his own limit. Hope everything goes smoothly on Tuesday and may his dreams come true. Good Luck!
