TANGS Dressing Room Tea Time Special

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in support of this, TANGS has invited their ladies cardmembers for a lineup of events held at the Dressing Room at TANGS Orchard which I have RSVP for it.

I pledge to do my breast check at the pledging booth. Breast cancer is the fifth deadliest form of cancer worldwide, and we should be reminded to practice regular breast self-examinations and go for annual mammograms.

The models put up a fabulous showcase of various lingerie brands featuring DKNY, Maidenform, Valisere and XIXILI.

Following up is a talk by a representative from Calvin Klein on "Maintaining a Fabulous Lingerie Wardrobe."

We were introduced to the Calvin Klein coverage level system. Consisting of three levels, each level is differentiated by the cup coverage as well as strap and band width. At the same time, we were also introduced to their Naked Glamour series - Push up, add a size plus, wirefree contour, convertible plunge, underwire and wirefree softcup.

Envy is Coverage Level 1, with the most minimal level of coverage for a sleek, sexy look. (When you want the feeling of wearing almost nothing at all!)

Perfectly Fit is Coverage Level 2 and provides mid-level coverage for classic comfort. (When you want the feeling of everything you need, keep it effortless) Another asset of this bra is that with a simple hook in the middle, it can easily be converted into a racerback bra! How nice.

Seductive Comfort, positioned at Coverage Level 3, offers the most coverage and support. (When you want the feeling of complete confidence, now you can have it all)

Next, we were given some tips on how to maintain our lingerie closet. Of course, items that are too old or doesn't fit have to be thrown away. Their recommended number of bras (for everyday, special occasions and shoulder baring clothes) and panties (seamless buff, seamless black, silk thongs, comfortable lace, comfort panties) are at a minimum of 20 pieces. Jokingly, Christina said later our hubby/boyfriend will get a shock when they open up the wardrobe and find nothing but inner wears! After which, we can sort our lingerie by colour or fabrication and to hang our delicate bras on hanger. For me, how I organised my bras and panties is to simple get a bra and panties organiser from Gmarket. Save me a lot of time and trouble.

The next segment is a talk by MODERN SHAPE on shapeware. Did you know that it takes 32 components to make a bra? Anyway, each and every individual is born with different shapes and sizes so it's important that we have to find and wear the correct bras that suits our own body shape.

Next is a Breast Cancer Awareness talk by this Breast Cancer Survivor. She's a jovial woman despite going through a tough time fighting the disease. Now she has recovered as she discovered this illness at the early stage. She preferred the floor to throw questions to her.

Lastly is a talk by XIXILI on Getting the Right Fit for your bra.

Ongoing is this pampering hand massages by beauty experts CLARINS.

Lastly, a photo of Christina, Val and I with our goodie bags.

After which, we cross over and visited the Singapore Jewel Fest 2011. No photos taking allowed. So I won't blog much about it too. My eyes hurts from seeing too much bling bling.
