Dinner and dessert with colleagues - Xin Yuan ji + Ah Chew Dessert

Being a Singaporean, I actually did not know this restaurant that sells such delicious and tasty fish soup and it's my Indonesian friend who recommended us.

Xin Yuan Ji was founded by Kenny Peh who has a great interest in cooking ever since young and started up by being an assistant at his friend's stall. With his determinations and hard work, he started up his first stall selling fish head bee hoon with his family during 1993 at "Old Market". This one at Tan Quee Lan is set up at 2006. Now, not only selling just fish soup but Zi Char too.

All the dishes ordered are highly recommended. Assam Curry Fish head, fried fish soup, fried hong kong mee, prawn paste chicken wings, mushrooms with veggie. Yummy! Another best thing is they don't charge service charge, no wonder the long queue outside.

This is their washroom.

After dinner, we went to Ah Chew Dessert just another street nearby. Another crowded place too. Read my review on http://sg.openrice.com/singapore/restaurant/commentdetail.htm?commentid=8372 Bloated and happy!
