[Review] PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure at Sands Theatre

Get ready for a PAW-some adventure! PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure is coming to life on stage at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from 12 to 15 December. This is a fantastic show that's perfect for little fans of the popular animated series. Presented by Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group in association with Base Entertainment Asia, this action-packed, music-filled show is sure to deliver lots of great entertainment and fun to kids.

I remembered how fond my girl used to be of PAW Patrol when she was younger and would watch it almost every day, singing along to the opening tune. That's when I started watching with her and learned the tagline, "No job is too big, no pup is too small. PAW Patrol is on a roll!". I also know the different names of the pups and I'm amazed I still can remember them now. There's Chase the Police Pup who is always on the case, Skye the Aviation Pup who is my girl's favourite character, Zuma, Marshall and more. We also had a collection of the PAW Patrol mini figurines from the gashapon machine, except for Everest, which is super rare.

I brought my girl along to the show with another mummy friend and her daughter, who is the same age as my girl. The show started with the introduction of Ryder and the pups, and the announcement that it's Pirate Day in Adventure Bay.

Ryder and the PAW Patrol team are on a mission to rescue Cap'n Turbot from a mysterious cavern, and when they do, they discover a secret treasure map. Together with Ryder and the PAW Patrol team, we had to solve picture puzzles on the treasure map as the pups raced over land and sea to find the treasure for Mayor Goodway's celebration before Mayor Humdinger finds it first.

It was super cool when the pups made an appearance with their vehicles, and I could hear excitement from the crowd.

This is one example of the Picture Puzzle we had to solve from the treasure map and the answer is Rainbow Tree!

The show features lots of catchy songs, encourages the audiences to learn pirate catchphrases and towards the end, many stood up and danced along, including my girl.

The show runs for approximately 90 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Plus, don't forget to check out the merchandise booth on site for some exciting PAW Patrol goodies!

Although my girl said this is a show for baby (in her opinion, those below 7 years old are babies), I could tell she still enjoyed the show. It's nice to provide kids the opportunity to experience in-person theater shows like this.

[Personal] Working at JustCo Coworking and Office Space at The Metropolis

As I'm staying in the West region, I face a long travelling time to my workplace as my offices has always been quite far away from home. Recently, I came across JustCo coworking and office space that has over 20 locations across Singapore, with most of them situated in prime areas. I opted for the Metropolis Tower 1 location, which is conveniently accessible via Buona Vista MRT Exit D, making my daily commute much more efficient, saving about 20 minutes at least in travelling time.

Day 1 - 29 April 2024

It's a Monday and I will only be staying here for half a day so I picked this workspace and I had the whole table and seat to myself. Didn't explore the area much as I was busy with work but I'm loving this space which is close to the window.

Day 2 - 30 April 2024

Checking out the various food options at The Metropolis.

Glad to be back.

Yet to explore the second floor.

I picked this big open concept table as my workspace. Came with lots of charging points and USB ports for charging. I actually forgot to bring my phone cable, luckily the staff at the counter is able to lend me one. Appreciate that staff are generally pretty helpful here.

Snacks, Tiong Hoe Coffee and tea from Clipper Tea are replenished throughout the day at the pantry area.

Mugs are available for use so I do not need to bring or wash my own.

Meryl was my lunch buddy as her office is at Tower 2. We walked to Star Vista and had Pontian Wanton Mee and since it was the National Bubble Tea Day, Liho was having a 1-for-1 promotion. Great to share this deal with Meryl. I also bought some bread for breakfast from Four Leaves. Lunch time well spent.

Day 3 - 2 May 2024

Had McDonald downstairs for breakfast with hubby.

Explored the second level today.

Beside hot desks and common work area, there are also several meeting rooms for use depending on your membership subscription plan.

Back to my favourite working spot. Somehow, I prefer this spot that is near to the pantry area more. Get reminded to hydrate and drink more water.

Almost lunch time so I went downstairs to the sitting area.

I had a $10 voucher expiring soon, so we went to Otter Pizza at The Rochester Mall to have our lunch. Food was yummy and there was no other customers around during the time we visited so we sort of have the whole place to ourselves.

Starbucks to cool ourselves down from the super hot weather.

Helped myself to the snacks and tea during tea-break time.

For my job, I can basically work anywhere as long as there's a laptop and WIFI. One main advantage is the prime locations making it easier for me to pick my girl too as this location is just 5 bus stops away from my girl's school. The workspace also offers modern and spacious facilities with free flow of beverages and snacks. Do note printing is chargeable but scanning is complimentary.

The one biggest disadvantage is that I had to bring my laptop around everywhere. If I'm heading to the office, I do not need to bring my laptop along since the office laptop is locked in the drawer.

Promotion: Simply quote #worksforyou when you make an enquiry about JustCo hot desk membership to receive an additional 1 week complimentary access. Monthly hot desk membership fees start from $265. Usual Terms apply.

[PROMO CODE ALERT] #anywherewithGL - Trip to the Zoo featuring Gaston Luga CLÄSSIC BLACK Backpack

Do you know a bag can tells a lot about your personality? Beside your outfit, a bag is probably the next most important item that defines your style and carries your things. Being a practical person, a full-size backpack is always my top choice be it going out for outings or to work. The reason is simple, I just had too much things to bring out. I had to bring an umbrella just in case it rains, a water bottle just in case I felt thirsty, laptop for working, wallet, handphone and whatsoever. That's why I'm rarely out with a small bag unless it's just a trip to the supermarket downstairs.

Official Photo from Gaston Luga Website

I was so surprised when I was approached by Gaston Luga, producer of quality backpacks from Stockholm, Sweden for a collaboration. The truth is, I've been eyeing their backpacks for a while because they are so functionable and versatile. After accepting the collaboration came the tough decision, which backpack should I choose? There were many different series and each series comes with different set of colours. In the end, me being me, I went for the good old CLÄSSIC BLACK Backpack. Delivery was pretty fast, after my order was confirmed, I received my first Gaston Luga CLÄSSIC BLACK Backpack within a week, just in time for me to use it for our planned Zoo Trip on Father's Day today!

The front, the inside and the back

Being a first time proud owner of a Gaston Luga backpack, I just had to do an unboxing video for it. Check out my unboxing video here on tik tok or instagram. Made of PU leather, which is a strong and durable canvas, I'm ready to go anywhere with my new backpack. It has an inner padded pocket that can holds most 11" - 13" laptops so I can also bring this to work. There's a hidden back pocket to put valuables and although there's no zip, it's deep enough to even put a passport. I'm also loving the Maroon Red inner lining that is in contrast with the black exterior.

Here's my what is in my bag photo for this Zoo trip. The backpack was big enough to carry all my essential items and there's still room to put more. The coin pouch, keys and two handphones goes to the zippered front pocket for quick access while the rest inside to the main compartment.

Off to The Tortoise Shelter. Hubby even inferred that me carrying my backpack is like a turtle carrying its shell.

Love that My CLÄSSIC BLACK Backpack can goes well with majority of the outfit, even this patterned dress I'm wearing.

My little photographer, she's so excited taking lots of photos of the animals at the zoo as this is her first time there.

Carrying the backpack in front helps to cover up my fat tummy when taking photos. Lol.

Looking at the animals up close and personal.

We had an enjoyable day trip to the Zoo. Thanks to Gaston Luga backpack, I can carry everything in just one bag and still looks good.
