[Thai Horror Movie] The Eyes Diary 鬼眼日记

In this latest Thai Horror Movie directed by Chookiat Sakverakul, viewers not only get to experience the fear factor, but also some love and humor too.

The happy memories of Nott (Porama "Panjan" Imanothai) and Pla (Focus Jeerakul)

Was it out of love or out of guilt that makes Nott went all out to find ways to enable him to open his eyes to the realm of the dead?

Doing a job not many people would even dare to do!

Even to the extend of working as a volunteer that deals with picking up the corpses so that he could collects the deceased's personal belongings in the hope that the spirit will come back and open a portal to the World of dead for him.

The movie started with this scene of Nott and John clearing up a bike accident scene. The tense atmosphere was fully matched up with the loud sound effects. In fact, both Jess and I "jumped" in our seat just within the first few minutes of the movie as we were unprepared of what's going to happened.

Pla is a ghost now and only John could see her

The truth is no matter how hard Nott try, he will not be able to see Pla. That was because when the motorcycle accident happened, the couple was quarreling and the last wish that Pla gave before she was killed in the crash was never to see Nott again! So now, Nott could only feel Pla's presence but there's something that he have to tell her personally or he will feel guilty all his life. The reason is out of anger, he actually created the accident and cause her death and he hoped that she will forgive him.

A timely reminder to us that Anger is just one letter short of Danger. We usually don't mean the things we say or do when we are angry and instead of solving the problems, being angry doesn't even helped a bit. So before it's too late to regret, we have to access the whole situation and find a solution instead of being angry and causing hurt.

One interesting point to take note is that the ghost of Pla looks exactly like when she was alive and she could even bleed and get injured when she was attacked by other ghosts. However, all the other ghosts in this movie looks horrible, like zombies. So don't get confused and think that she's still alive.

Thank you Jess Baby for bringing me to this preview screening. This time round, there's even photo props before the movie starts. Cool!

Before I end off my post, let's ponder about this, usually we are too scare to discuss or even want to have experience with ghosts and such, but what if the ghost happens to be your closed and loved ones? Would you freak out and pray that they leave or would you want their presence around because you miss them so much? For me, I believe that if it's the spirits of your loved ones, they would act as your guardian angels, so instead of trying to scare you, they will even protect you. That's what I felt in my case.
