SOULSCAPE - Yoga and Fitness Festival at Sentosa's Tanjong Beach Club (intheloop)

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practices that aims to transform the mind and body. Prior to this event, I've tried a few sessions of Hot Yoga before but wasn't persistent in going back. Upon leaning that intheLoop, Singapore's first health and wellness digital magazine and online portal is organizing SOULSCAPE, its inaugural Yoga & Fitness Festival, I knew I have to give it a try.

My special pass was mailed to me and this allows me access to the Media Launch Party before the actual event started on the same day. I also received my Sentosa Islander card around the same timing.

The event was held at Sentosa's Tanjong Beach Club, amidst the lush tropical surroundings this year. Love this two group photos taken with my friends.

We were introduced to intheLoop, an online portal to connect and engage the local health and wellness community. The team behind intheLoop are actually instructors, health enthusiasts and fitness fanatics and they came together with a dream to educate, connect and drive conversation between like-minded people. Visit www.intheloop.com.sg to check out their website.

A lifestyle and wellness market was set up on the beach featuring products such as organic foods and cold pressed juice, handicrafts, yoga accessories, alternative healing services, UV body painting and temporary tattoos. All these are in line with promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you Paradigm Wellness for the toe slippers. They organised classes known as Yamuna® Body Rolling with the primary objective of improving the quality of the body and prevent its breakdown. In the class, you will get to learn how to use the Yamuna® balls to locate and work all the muscles of your legs, anterior torso, and posterior torso.

Slacklining is one of the free activity that is subjected to availability upon registration. It is a balancing activity with a suspended stretch of nylon/polyester tied between two points. One can then exercise their balancing skill for activities such as walking, executing tricks and doing yoga poses (Yogalining) on it. A great mental and physical challenge indeed.

Hula Hoop is a fun way to trim the waistline. I'm sure most of us have tried Hula Hoop during our school days. My school even have Hula Hoop competition last time.

Mutual trust and support required if you are doing it with somebody else.

CF and I went to have our arms painted with the UV paints before the main program starts. My sun nice right? My caption for the sun is that even though the sun is going to set soon, I still have a sun on my arm!

Finally, we were asked to set up our Yoga Mat on the sandy beach. The first main program, Sunset Yoga is starting, so let me take a selfie!

The duration for Sunset Yoga is 60 minutes and it's perfect for beginners like me. It was really nice to immerse myself under the beautiful sunset, doing Yoga. Time to reconnect with nature.

Spot the beautiful sunset!

Night performance before the second main program starts.

Time to get ready our glowsticks as Night Yoga Rave begins! I didn't take part in this as I was really tired being out and about the whole day.

Night Yoga Rave is a dynamic 90  minutes flow session under the moonlight with glowsticks and fire torches by the side. This is the highlight of the evening which eventually ends as a spirited dance session.

With CK and CF. We can't wait to get some food, so we bought truffle fries to share. Love our colourful glowsticks too!

Thanks for the invite to SOULSCAPE 2014. It's an unforgettable experience and I look forward to SOULSCAPE 2015, by then I should be even better prepared.

Feast like Kings and Queens at The King Louis Grill & Bar

Welcome to The King Louis! Singapore's only castle-themed restaurant serving medieval cuisine. Get ready to be served and feast like a king or queen as we are being transport back to the Medieval times.

Hidden in a corner at Level 3 of Vivocity (beside Daiso), many would not have noticed this restaurant in the mall. It's never too late to find this hidden gem suitable for family or friends gathering. We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff standing outside the restaurant.

Simply love how the restaurant has many different table setting to choose from. Majority are long tables and benches made from specially crafted wood. These's also the more formal type of table setting with office chairs and black tables. Very cool to hold a small group meeting here.

The armored knights as well as the interior decor keeps me very fascinated and I just can't stop snapping photos. They also added extra effect like the spider webs, skulls and the black paper ghosts for the Halloween festive feel.

The King Louis Halloween Feast that I've won. Thank you, OpenRice! It says 2-3 pax so I made an impromptu reservation for 2 pax, thinking that bf and I should be able to finish all. I was so wrong!

The bf with the big jar of ice-lemon tea! This is enough for 4 pax!

Highlandar Pumpkin Soup. The soup is thick and creamy and comes with the garlic bread. I love the combination but the portion is too big that I can't finish the soup and when it's cold, it doesn't taste that good.

The King Louis Platter consisting of fried sausages, fried wedges, fried onion rings and a small portion of salad. Perfect starter but later we regretted choosing this over the Chicken Ceasar Salad because the main platter was so huge that we really can't finish it and have to call more friends to join us.

The Queen Isabelle Platter. Our first reaction was shock with jaws dropped when we saw this huge portion! Consisting of Roasted beef with Black Pepper Sauce, Premium BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Roasted English-style Queen Pullet, Lamb Steak with Rosemary Herbs, roast potatoes, assorted vegetables like long beans, cauliflower and carrot and salad. Fruits are on skewers.

As I don't take beef and lamb, I can only enjoy this portion of the platter. My favourite is the BBQ Baby Back Ribs. The meat is well marinated and is really tender. Best part, the meat fell off the bone easily.

Roasted English-Style Queen Pullet was a decent dish. Read other reviews and found out that the restaurant uses chilled instead of frozen chicken so that's a plus point. However, the breast meat was a bit dry, so I only ate the thighs which are juicy and tender.

The meat for the Lamb Steak with Rosemary Herbs is really tender and juicy as quoted by my bf. The The medium rare finishes for the Roasted Beef with Black Pepper Sauce is just perfect.

Dessert was Coconut Ice Cream. We thought it would be just the usual vanilla ice-cream but it's not. Quite a unique choice of flavour. It's not too sweet and ends the whole meal well.

Our choice of table comes with a scenic view of the Harbour. At one point, we even witness fireworks coming from Sentosa.

Friends who came down to help us finish the dish. Thanks!! Even Halloween they've put in so much effort in the decoration, I guess Christmas they would have special menu too! Looking forward to that! :)

Stay home Halloween Horror on THRILL CHANNEL + GIVEAWAY

If you have no plans to go out this Halloween season, why not stay home and scream your lungs out while watching the horror shows on Thrill Channel: Starhub Cable TV Channel 618; SingTel mioTV Channel 415.

5 episode straight of the Halloween Series. WOW, I guess I will turned into a zombie if I watch them all at one go. >_<

The nice people from Thrill Channel is so kind to send me some premiums to lighten the atmosphere. Before I go into details what I received and how it would probably help me, let me share the November TV schedule.

Since October is coming to an end, here's some films that would keep your November month busy and thrilling. Premiering on 1st of November is Rosemary's Baby. I believe this is something worth catching. From the synopsis, I'm already very curious of what they have done to the baby.

Item #1: Skull Stress Ball

Skull Stress Ball with popping eyeballs that are filled with maggots. Useful when I feel the need to squeeze somebody's hand while watching the horror show but when there's nobody around. Relieve stress and tension. Posted a short instavideo of how it works, click here to watch and a friend commented if the eyes will explode. Hehe, no, it didn't. When you press too hard, the maggots just get stuck outside as per the middle image of the photo collage.

Item #2: Ghost figurine Salt and Pepper holder.

The black and white ghosts are super CUTE!

"Hovering" when I let them out of their "thrill FEAR IS FUN Coffins"

Back to the coffins and rest in peace!

Item #3: Blood Bag Water Bottle

Drinking from this water bottle is like drinking blood.

GIVEAWAY TIME

I'm giving away Item #2 and Item #3. Simply comment on which item you want to win and also one of the show title that you think is scariest. Giveaway closed before Halloween ends. Winners will be notified.

Thank you!
