Happy 46th Birthday, Singapore + Movie: Zookeeper

This is the theme song for our National Day Parade 2011. Seems like this year there's only one English Version as I didn't hear any Chinese version of this song so I thought of writing a Chinese version for it, music the same, just Chinese lyrics. A very sentimental song with simple lyrics but deep meaning. In a heartbeat, we beat for the country. Being in one of the safest country without riots, without natural disasters, I feel that I'm really fortunate and proud to be a Singaporean. Enjoy the song.

We had Long John Silver for our lunch before we head down to Eng Wah at Suntec to catch our movie. To read my review click here.

They got me a new membership card! The previous Eng Wah membership card was a golden colour one. This card looks nicer but abit uncalled for as the old card still looks good and new. 

Two tickets to Zookeeper got us a free NDP fun pack. It's killing two birds with one stone. At the same time we are enjoying our movie that we paid for, we also gotten the NDP fun pack. 

My NDP Fun Pack. This year didn't managed to get the ticket to watch the parade live at the Floating Platform again. No such luck. Hopefully, I will get a chance next year.

A comedy that gets the audience laughing. Movie has a cliched love-triangle plot revolving around Griffin (acted by Kevin James) the nice zookeeper that every animals in the zoo loves. He has thought of quitting his job and changing his lifestyle when his ex lover Stephanie (Leslie Bibb) re-enters his life but what he didn't realized is that his fellow zookeeper Kate (Rosario Dawson) is actually the woman for him until towards the end of the movie. The love plot is probably like a real life situation but animals started communicating (the human way) is definitely not the usual stuff you get to see which is why it's funny. However, when Griffin started following the animals style of wooing the opposite sex, it's kind of LAME! He actually got that far by really following the instruction of urine at a spot to mark clear his territory.   

The funnies part of this whole movie got to be the part whereby he brought the gorilla out to T.G.I Friday's Restaurant for dinner. How they lie their way through that the gorilla is actually a costume as they sneak out from a costume party. LOL!

So these are the things that's inside the fun pack. Actually nothing special. I was looking for the light stick that can add as a lamp too but couldn't find it. 

Ate home cooked dinner by bf's mum as we watched the NDP on TV together. Yummy prawns and chicken!! :D~
