[Personal] Advance Birthday Celebration for Jessie at Tsukada Nojo (Bijin Nabe) (塚田農場 美人鍋)

Met up with a group of friends for Jessie's advance birthday celebration at Tsukada Nojo Bijin Nabe or commonly known to us as 美人鍋。It was super crowded even on a Wednesday and they have a policy that all parties have to reach in order to enter. We waited for about 30 minutes for a table.

Their specialty Bijin Nabe is made only from the best chicken stock found in Miyazaki, Japan and the stock is boiled and simmered for over 8 hours with Jidori chicken bones until the stock turns into a clear golden colour. Moreover, they even raised their own free range chicken in their own poultry farms and ship the chicken stock daily to Singapore. Got this information from their menu.

We were served the collagen pudding which is how the stock become when it was left to cool. The collagen pudding took quite fast to melt fully. After which, the waiter will pour the first round of the soup (which is without any ingredients being added in) into a sake cup (Ochoko) for us to try. That first mouthful of the soup is really rich and tasty!

The waiter did a great job in serving us. Each of us were asked which part of the chicken (that were already in the soup) we want and he would served them to us. We gets about two parts of the chicken each. The hotpot ingredients consist of Tori Tsukune (Chicken Meatball), Yellow Zucchini, Lady's Finger, Water Melon Radish, Baby Corn, Yuzu, Deep fried Tofu, Sunflower Sprout, Lettuce, Fresh Black Fungus, Mushrooms, Baby Sweet Potato Leaves, Whole Shrimp and Noodles (which was only served towards the end).

The side dishes that we ordered are delicious too.

The overview of our food for six pax.

Nicely arranged and placed in the soup for photo taking.
Thin Egg Noodles and seaweed paste that was served to us much later. Super cute, you can add the seaweed paste to the soup or eat it on its own.

When we were done with our meal, we were yet surprised with a final dish. Jelly dessert with a random customized drawing on a plate. In this case, we got a piglet. Super cute!

Beside having a good brand name, another of their good marketing strategy is to make every customers their "employee" starting from the title of an "Assistant Manager". Those who already have a card gets a chop while everyone else who hasn't gotten the card will receive this card. Promotions is based on the number of times you visit the restaurant and you will also be rewarded accordingly.

One of our friend, Terence got promoted to Manager and we received this complimentary fries thanks to him! Even the sauce is so photo worthy!

Enjoyed myself lots and it was an interesting experience. Would definitely be back soon to get the "promotion" Hehe. Happy Birthday Jessie
