Take a trip down memory lane of 2012

I'm lazy but I still wanna post something, so I took my 2012 year in review directly from Facebook. If you are not inside the life stories below, it's not my fault, this is a summary provided by Facebook. Lolol. Don't worry though, cause even if your photos doesn't appear in my life stories, that doesn't mean I've forgotten you. I remember each and everyone who's been good to me in my heart. There's really should be more life stories than those that I'm posting below. I had a great 2012, know a lot more people, finally had an overseas trip with the Company as well as family. My target is at least one overseas trip per year, and this year I had two! I really felt fortunate and I hope that 2013 will be an even better year with more exciting stories to share! Wishes everyone the same, stay happy, be healthy and good luck always! Cheers! ^^v

Company did very well so we got to go for a 4 days 3 nights trip to Macau. My first time going there and also my first overseas trip with the Company. Really memorable. Hope every year we will do well so that can go for more trips! =D

Hmm. This set of photos also appeared in my life stories? I went with my mum to view the colourful Chingay parade.

My birthday. Didn't have a good memory of it this year.

Celebrations of birthdays with my ex-colleagues.

Yesh, went to Taiwan with my family. Quite fun but a bit disorganized. Haha. Too lazy to blog about it.

Rumors had it that Mr Lee was in a critical condition so everyone was practically anticipating whether he will showed up on the NDP parade or not. When he did, it was such a big relief, everyone clapped and cheered.

My favourite pandas!! Sadly have not visited them yet in 2012.

Merlion's 40th birthday! Haha.

Shiseido makeover. Haven't blog about it too. =S

My first flying experience! ^^

Invited to a few concerts and really enjoyed them. Yay!

These few photos actually didn't really do a complete sum up of my 2012 but still, thanks for reading it. When I'm not so lazy, I'd probably post up something better.

Tiger Beer Party at F1 Pit Building

"Have you been good this year?" is a campaign run by Tiger Beer this festive season to reward fans behind the best entries with invites to it's biggest party held at the F1 Pit Building last Saturday, 22 December 2012.

This is a self-reflecting question that I would also ask myself especially since it's coming to a year end. It's about time to do some self-reflection. Whether we've been following our resolutions set at the beginning of the year? What have we achieve in the past 12 months? Have we been nice or naughty this year?

For myself, honestly I would say, overall I'm still pretty good this year except for a few times I came home late and didn't inform my parents, or those times, I put in more effort on every other things but not work. Making myself so tired and couldn't sleep well at night. Sometimes, it makes me feel a bit guilty getting my priority wrong but those other things always seems so much fun.

Anyway, I went to the Tiger Beer party, though my invites wasn't secured in the end, I still try to push my way through (must always carry name cards around), which works and they gave me the VIP band, so I got to enjoy the free flow drinks and food and the music.

Everything has got to be a first time. If I tell you this is the first time I stayed out so late at such a party and went a bit crazy, the first time I went wearing heels with an oldies dress, the first time I got pulled up to dance on stage with the rest, would you believe me?

Thanks Hp for the nice group photo
Believe it or not, this is perhaps the most awesome party I've attended. Few songs that really gets me into the mood is none other than, "Gangnum Style" and "Titanium". Some of the guys were really HIGH, enjoying the night and dancing non-stop. Every songs also can dance. With the right accompany, I enjoyed the party too but towards the end, the heels is killing me and I just need to sit down. We thought we wanted to leave early but ended up staying on until they stopped the music and prepares to clear the place which is around 2am plus. Few of them even went on to party elsewhere, I heard. Power. I think I took a few days to recover from this tiredness. Maybe I need to party more!

Oh ya, and this is also the first time I got STOMP-ED. Haha. I was still rather sober towards the end of the party which is a good thing.

DJ Jo Flow, Keven Lester, Fingerscroxxed (DJ Doopz and DJ Nomsta) were also invited by Tiger Beer Singapore to mix the beat music. More photos with the rest of the camera but since I won't be in Singapore over the weekend, I thought I might as well post this up first, just in case anybody misses me, which I doubt so. Haha. Ok, got to go sleep, bye!

Great fun at Sentosa 4D Magix and CineBlast

We often complained about how Singapore is a boring country with nothing much to see and do. So most of us would usually flock to other countries for holidays when in actual fact, there's actually so much fun activities that can be done in Singapore.

If you are like me who is not planning to go on any overseas trip this December holiday season, you may want to consider having a staycation and spend a day or two at Sentosa island.

Two weeks ago, I had an extremely fun time with some of the other bloggers at one of the main attractions in  Sentosa. It's a 6 year old award-winning attraction located at Imbiah Lookout, Sentosa and it's none other than the Sentosa 4D Magix!

At Sentosa 4D Magix alone, there's already three different popular attractions to try out. They are Extreme Log Ride, Pirates in 4D and Desperados in 3D

All these three rides promises to bring a fun and enjoyable time no matter who you are with. The three rides caters to all ages as long as your height is above 90cm. Children below 3 years old have to be be accompanied by an adult for safety reason obviously.

Thanks to this group of male singers who were there to entertain us with catchy songs while we were queuing up for our turn. They sang well and got us in the mood to relax and have fun.

Okay, the first ride we tried out is the Extreme Log Ride. It's Singapore's first cinematic ride that presents an interactive movie experience with 4D effects that makes objects come to life, in this case, the logs. Yearly upgrades were conducted to keep up with technology advancement.

Photo taken with Shu Qing while we were inside the waiting room. They are gonna show us the safety precaution video.

While Shu Qing and I were happily taking photos, the mask faces on the wall suddenly lighted up with different colours each time. I felt as if I'm going to enter a tribal show. Hooka Chaka! Hooka! Hooka! Hooka Chaka! Hooka!

Oh yeah, here's the blue-faced tribal man briefing us on the safety precautions.

We were finally inside the theatre. Altogether, there's 9 motion capsules inside the theatre and all operating on a state-of-the-art 6-axis motion system. That's Terence sitting in front of me. I only asked if he wants to take photo of not and he come out with so many poses. Haha, enough to create a collage.

Now is our turn to camwhore before we begins our adventure as a log. In this movie, we experience the exhilarating ascent as a log in Himalayamazon to the top of the mountains, rushing down to the deepest valley as well as dodging other flying logs, coming to close encounter with a crocodile as well as with a saw. To top it off, wind blasters are added to mimic a roller coaster ride experience. It's quite an exciting ride as the movement of the whole capsule we were sitting in can get rather vigorous at times. Really love this ride.

Next is Pirates in 4D. I've actually watched this before earlier this year but I'm still pretty excited to watch it again. It is Southeast Asia's first 4D cinematic experience attraction that has won the Asian Attractions Awards for Most Popular Small Attraction for 5 consecutive years from 2007 to 2011!

Ahoy! I can see the pirates are coming! Had much fun playing around with the props at the queuing area!

Photo taking time while inside the waiting room. Erm, it's Christmas season but why the effect is like Halloween? Hahaha. Terence sure looks like a vampire with his hoodie up. The next Edward Cullen, maybe?

You have been warned to enter at your own risk.

The specially imported seats equipped with built in speakers as well as environmental effects is good enough to keep one entertained throughout the whole film. Beside that, there's also water features, seat vibrations, leg ticklers and base shakers to more effects. This ride is the only one with a story line. It's about how Captain Lucky and his crew sailing to Pirate Island and falling into different traps set up by Davie and Chester, the monkey. In the beginning, there's a bit more vibrations of the seats as Captain Lucky keep smashing and punching into his crew, accidentally or intentionally. There's the trap with crabs, bee hive, cactus and bats. Be prepared to get your feet tickled, hair messed up and a little bit of wetness the moment they encounter the traps.

The last ride we went to is Desperados in 3D. This is again Singapore first 3D interactive shoot-out gamng experience. The recent upgrade to the state-of-the-art 3D projection system allows audience to see bullets and objects flying off the screen.

Once again, safety first and this time round, also guides on how to get the best out of this ride. The first round was a trial ride to let us get the hang of shooting the bad guys.

In this ride, each individual has a hand-held motion sensor guns while riding on a moving saddle. The rocking saddles in an up-down movements adds on to the fun element in this ride. It's really a test of one's shooting skills and I think the first few row of riders has better chance to be the top shooter. I was seated around the third row and I got quite a nice score. 86 points! Thanks Zerika for the photo.

We can't get enough of the shooting.

Just now I mentioned that I got a nice number for my score right? Now compare my score to the top scorer! The 4th name on the board has got 841 points??? :O:O:O Seriously? You think you can beat his/her scores? Take up the challenge then.

After the three fun rides, we settled ourselves at Starbucks. Thanks for the yummy treats.

Really enjoyed myself a lot. Can see that everyone have fun too cause after every ride, all came out with smiles on their faces. Words and photos can't really describe how fun it is. You just have to go down and experience it yourself to find out.

Morganfield's - Home of Sticky Bones at Star Vista

Morganfield's has two restaurants in Malaysia, one in KL and the other in Penang. They decided to get into the ribs scene of Singapore by opening it's first restaurant here at the Star Vista (#02-23), located just next to Buona Vista MRT station. Although it's just two MRT station away from my home, this is actually my first visit to the mall as well as to this restaurant.

If you read up the story of Morganfield's, you would realized that it is an American inspired restaurant and bar. A great combination of music and good soul food. This 180-seater restaurant has a modern interior with a rustic feel. Their signature dish has got to be their BBQ pork ribs.

Their popularity is visible with the crowds. Although it's a weekday night, the restaurant is almost full house. Do remember to call up for reservations for weekends. Al fresco dining can be opted too to enjoy the night breeze.

With the Christmas season in mind, Morganfield's have also came up with a number of Christmas platters, set lunch, promotions and contests to spread the festive cheers. I'm glad to be invited together with some of the other bloggers of streetdirectory to try out two of their Christmas Platters.

From left to right:

Candy Cane Milkshake ($11.90) which is what I ordered. The candy cone and sugar sprinkles attracted me to order it and I loved it very much. It can even be considered as a dessert drink and is made up of vanilla ice cream with a bit of peppermint flavour, strawberry puree and whipped cream. Sweet.

Cranberry Blush ($10.90) is a refreshing drink of cranberry, orange and pineapple mix together.

Christmas Beer ($15.90) is blanc, sprite and orange. Great drink for celebrations.

Chili Cheese Fries ($12.90) is our appetizer. The fries are baked with cheese, a lot of cheese, topped with pork bacon bits and served with chilli concarne. The chili is very unique. I've never tasted such chili elsewhere before.

Tortilla Chips with crab and spinach dip. Another special appetizer. Crab and spinach dip is rather addictive. This would made a nice snacks.

Bacon Wrapped Meatballs ($9.90). The deep fried pork meatballs are wrapped with bacon and goes well with the Dijon mustard sauce.

*************************************

Here comes our main course - Christmas Platters! We were served two platters and both comes in very big portion. Can be shared with 4 persons or more if you are not a big eater.

All Christmas Platters come with:

• Christmas Caesar Salad with Prosciutto
• Sausage Platter
• French Fries, Redskin Mash, Corn, Pilaf Rice
• Dessert Platter

This is the Christmas Caesar Salad with Prosciutto and is part of the Christmas Platter. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy with their homemade dressing. Can choose to sprinkle cheese or pepper on top. As the main dishes would be rather meaty, this is one dish that can help to balance up with the main dish later on.

Morganfield’s Christmas Rib Platter - $129.90++
• Half Slab Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones
• Half Slab Tuscan Baked Spicy Sticky Bones
• Half Slab Smoked Peppercorn Sticky Bones

Yes, we have their signature dish - sticky bones!!! I prefer the Hickory BBQ Sticky Bones over the rest. But all the meat is tender and peeled off the bones easily which is a result of low and slow cooking. *Drool*

Morganfield’s Christmas Turkey Platter- $139.90++
• Morgan’s BBQ Christmas Turkey Drumstick
• Sliced Honey Glazed Baked Ham

The turkey drumstick meat is much rougher than normal chicken meat. The four different types of sausages includes Jumbo Chicken sausages, Cheesy Sausages, Spicy Italian and Bratwurst.

The dessert platter of banana cake, bread pudding and brownie and ice creams. The bread pudding comes with a dash of whiskey and is simply delicious.

The group of us who came with an empty stomach and leave bloated and satisfied. Once again, thanks for the invitation.
