[FOOD TASTING] New Dishes at Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe

I'm back again at Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe for dinner and to savour some of the new dishes that they had come up with. A short introduction again, Spicy Thai - Thai Cafe is mainly influenced by the North Eastern Thai cooking style thus some of the dishes may be a bit spicier. Our dinner tonight shared among 10 person consist of authentic Thai style and Thai-Chinese style dishes.

*** NEW DISHES ***

Thai-Style : Thai Sambal Sea Bass (Seasonal Price)

Simply love their homemade Sambal Chilli! The spicy level is just right for me and the fish meat is easy to eat and not rough. A mouth watering dish.

Thai-Style : Thai Fried Chilli Fish Head S$28

The fish head is deep fried until very crispy. This is the spiciest dish among all and you can still find chilli seeds in the dish. Had to be extra careful of the fish bones.

Thai-Style : Kaeng Som Cha Om S$18

Previously, I've tried their Thai Dill Omelette (Cha Om) and this dish is now served in the form of sour and spicy, piping hot soup. There's also vegetables and prawns in the soup. Very appetizing and perfect for sharing on a cold night.

Thai-Chinese Style : Cold Tofu with Special Thai Seafood Sauce S$15

Cold Tofu with lots of gravy. A simple yet delicious dish.

Thai-Chinese Style : Stir-Fry Broccoli with Scallops S$20

Nicely presented, a healthy mix of broccoli, mushroom, carrot and scallops.

Thai-Chinese Style : Stir-Fry Cabbage with Thai Sweet Fish Sauce S$10

Instead of the usual cabbage, the cabbages they used are from Beijing with thinner leaves. Very crunchy and tasty.

Thai-Chinese Style : Jade Noodles S$6 (One Size, photo shows 3 portions)

This springy thin noodle taste sweet and comes with my favourite BBQ Pork. Definitely another one of my must-order dish.

*** SIGNATURE DISHES FROM CURRENT MENU ***

Lala (Clams) Bee Hoon S$18

Lala Bee Hoon is simply appetizing and delicious which is much raved about and has so much good review to it.

BBQ Pork Belly S$18

Every piece of the BBQ Pork Belly has the right balance of lean meat and tender juicy fat. It has a nice caramelised and smoky taste to it. That's why it's one of their signature dish here.

Deep Fried Kang Kong with Special Thai Sauce S$10

Ending off our dinner with this favourite Kang Kong cracker snack! Whoever thought of turning vegetables into this crispy and addictive snacks is a genius.

This time round I settled for the Thai Milk Tea for my drinks. Good choice!

Enjoying this dinner with the rest of my blogger friends. Thank you for the invites. Overall, there is a balance of spicy and non-spicy dishes here and I would recommend this place for gatherings among friends and family.
