[HISTORY] 6 survival tips in the Wild that Help You to Survive ALONE

In the modern age, we depends a lot on our smart phone for GPS and an app for almost everything. We probably don't think we need to learn any survival skills. But what happens when you are injured or stranded in the woods alone with darkness falling and no help in sight and the batteries die? Do you think you can survive alone? Here's when you need a few key skills for that moment when you find yourself without that trusty digital crutch.

6 USEFUL SURVIVAL TIPS

1. Bubble wrap keep you warm

The air bubbles in bubble wrap create insulation, which help to preserve body heat when you use it like a blanket.

2. Eat your bugs

Bugs have more protein than fish and meat. Black, green and brown ones are safe for consumption. But avoid bright colors like red, orange and yellow. They are usually dangerous.

3. Make your own compass

To make your own compass, rub a needle on a piece of clothing. Place it in water, it will point north.

4. Spit Fishing

Hold your shirt like a net under water and spit. Fish will gather because they think it's food. Once they do, swing your shirt up and you've got a catch.

5. Stay afloat

If you can't swim, use your pants. Tie off the legs and fill them with air. Once in the water, you can use them as a flotation device.

6. Take a mud bath

To create your own insect-repellent, cover exposed areas of your body with mud. This blocks off the smell of lactic acid, which attracts insects.
