Mother's day was celebrated at Vivo City. The day began with a complimentary health talk at Samsung Flagship Store. This talk was jointly put together by the Singapore Heart Foundation. The speaker discuss with us the two different type of cholesterol. First the LDL cholesterol and next the HDL cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is the bad cholesterol, and HDL is the good one. To remember it take the first letter. L = Lousy and H = Healthy. So the "Lousy" cholesterol will caused plaque to form within blood vessals thus blocking the flow of blood. This is dangerous as it might lead to lots of heart related diseases or even stroke. Then, she talked about the kind of food to eat more and the kind to avoid. After the 50 minutes talk we had a free health screening for Obesity, BMI, Visceral Fat Level and lastly Blood pressure. I got high for obesity screening and low for BMI and normal for visceral Fat level and extremely low for BP. My BP was only 90mmHg. =( Conclusion is still back to that point - To exercise more. The speaker say some people might hate the word exercise cause it might link to going to gym, etc etc. So she would used another term - To increase your daily activity. A good example might be to used the stairs instead of taking the lift. She also said one preferably should walked 10,000 steps a day and there's a device selling at Waston that keep track of the number of steps you've walked.

After the talk, we went opposite for our dinner at Kim Gary. Mum was happy with the choice and luckily there wasn't any long queue at all. We got our seats almost immediately as we walked in. She had her favourite cheese baked rice and I had my favourite mushroom rice. My father and brother also had mushroom rice. Total bill also came up to within my budget. Window shopped around Vivo. Went inside ToysRus and almost buy a hola hoop. LOL. It was so funny. Watching my father trying to spin with the hula hoop just make all of us laugh like mad. Then we also went to Tangs. Wanted to buy a water kettle there to replace the broken one at home but didn't. In the end bought it at one of the shops in Clementi.
