[Event] Bangkok Jam's Thai'Rrific Food Fest

Bangkok Jam, a familiar name to many Singaporean hosted a Thai Street Food Carnival - Thai'Riffic Food Fest for the very first time at their Marina Square outlet. The whole restaurant was transformed into a mock up of the streets and markets of Bangkok where diversity of Thai street food can be found.

Tickets to this event were sold at all Bangkok Jam outlets for $15 per set which includes coupons that can be used to purchase food and beverages at the stall and also Bangkok Jam merchandise. Bought a set and got myself a tote bag with 5 different coasters for $10. Those who purchased the tickets were also entitled to one chance at their lucky draw with the grand prize being a complimentary room for 2 nights at Four Points by Sheraton, Bangkok! Congrats to the lucky winner who won it!

A festival would not be complete without some live performances. Thus The Lost Box, an up-and-coming acoustic band in Singapore were invited and they sang quite a number of Thai songs that set the right mood for Chatuchak.

My friends and I enjoying the street food items especially curated by Chef De Cuisine, Thongloy Wilaiwan, Bangkok Jam.

Iconic street food items from the City of Angels

Kuey Teow Reua aka Thai style dried Boat Noodles (Pork or Beef) made famous by the boat noodles shops at Victory Monument. I didn't take beef thus I tried the pork boat noodle and it was delicious. I had a second bowl!

The overly sweet Khanom Buang, crispy Thai crepes originated from the floating markets. It's filled with coconut cream and some sweet and savory toppings.

Iconic street food items from the streets of Chatuchak

I had the Ai Tim Ma Praw aka Coconut Shell Ice Cream, with toppings that we can add in ourselves, such as roasted peanuts, dried mango, jackfruit slices, lord chong (green chendol stripes), and nata de coco. Really does looks like a bowl of Chendol.

Other street food at the event are popular dishes such as Tod Man Pla (Thai Fish Cakes), Peek Gai Tod (Fried Chicken Mid Joints with Thai Fish Sauce Marinade), and Porpiah Tod (Deep-fried Spring Rolls

I love their Mango Sticky Rice.

Bright and vibrant Look Chupe caught my attention so I just had to grab a box. It taste like some green bean paste inside the jelly.

Thirst quencher. Butterfly Pea Lime is not sour at all and taste really nice and refreshing.

Some group photos taken at the event with the rest of my friends. We had a great time eating and snapping photos of ourselves and the yummy food. Thank you Bangkok Jam and Creative Eateries for the invites and looking forward to more such events in the near future.
