"YOU VOTED. WE MADE IT HAPPEN."
This is one awesome SG50 party whereby what you see at the party were all ideas being selected out and voted by the public. I was one of the voters and I managed to score a pair of tickets to this party. Held at Capital Theatre, I get to see some really interesting ideas turned into reality. Check them out!
TIGER BEER UNOFFICIAL OFFICIAL PARTY OF SG50
Singapore's very own iconic Merlion created from recycled Tiger Beer cans, the Marina Bay Sands, our famous landmark is now made from ice and look at that giant ice kacang! These three sculptures are all Singapore's icons creatively crafted out for the party.
Most Singaporean are foodies at heart. Chilli crab is one dish that truly represent Singapore. Look closely at the fountain cause what is dripping down is not your usual chocolate but is actually the chilli crab gravy.
Food that you won't be able to get at your hawker. Long queue every stall. In the end, just got the most common Chicken Rice Ball.
The next idea that won the votes is SNOW. In Singapore, there's only sunny days, windy days or rainy days. We do not have the four season thus most of us longed to experience snow. Of course this is just foam.
A very cool beer assembly line bar.
A party will never be complete without some beer, So we used our beer coupon to exchange for some ice cold beer. Don't know why my face was so red even though I haven't started drinking.
The actual party took place inside the newly furnished Capital Theatre. There were performances of The Griswolds and The Kooks and it's the first event to be held here.
I would say this party is done up successfully. Thank you for the tickets!
