[Travel] Birthday Trip to LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort + Water Park + Hotel Nusa CT

I'm so lucky to have my birthday falls on Vesak Day this year and even luckier that it's on a Monday. It means a long weekend with no Monday Blues for me as I packed my bag and left for Legoland Malaysia! Here I shall share my experience starting from the initial sourcing and booking part.

I booked my Legoland package which includes a 2 Way Coach, Legoland Theme Park and Water Theme Park Tickets from WTS Travel for a price of S$190.20. You can choose either Big Box Jurong or Esplanade as the Pick-up and Drop-off location. For us, Big Box Jurong is definitely the more convenient choice.

We set off at about 11 am and finally we spotted Legoland from our coach at around 1pm. Initially, my plan was to go to the Theme Park yesterday and the Water Park today. Didn't expect that the ticket was a combined one and upon checking with the ticketing counter, we found out that it has to be utilized in one day. So, the impromptu plan is to have our lunch and check-in to our hotel first before deciding what to do for the rest of the day.

We head to the Mall of Medini and had our first meal of the day that cost us only RM 53.41. Very nice set meal.

For our one night accommodation, I booked a Superior King room at Hotel Nusa CT from agoda.com for S$54.83. It was a 15 minutes taxi ride from Legoland. Simply love the flowery wall paper.

Explored the hotel and found a sky bar at the top level which we didn't went to.

Shuttle Service from the Hotel to various locations. We asked the reception to help us book the shuttle to Bukit Indah area which is where the Jusco shopping mall is.

This shopping mall is HUGE. So many things to see and eat. We shopped for about 2 hours before we took a cab to Gelang Patah to have our seafood dinner.

The cab driver recommend this place. Ended up it was so famous, we had to wait so long to even get the menu and a waitress to attend to us. To our disappointment, the crab and kang kong was sold out. After eating, we met with another problem, how to get a cab back to hotel. It's like a long way to main road and they are so busy we didn't asked them to call a cab for us. We just walked and finally asked a guy who was selling satay at the roadside to help.

Breakfast buffet for 2 was provided by the hotel. We target to skip lunch just to finished exploring Legoland Theme Park and the Water Park. The purple mesh top I'm wearing is one of the top I got from yesterday's shopping.

THE BEGINNING
This is where the adventure begins! Buy your LEGO® merchandise souvenirs here.

LEGO® CITY
Complete the driving test at Driving School and earn your own driver's licence! This seems like the Road Safety park we have in Singapore. Apparently we are overage and not able to enjoy this. Haha. So I still didn't get my driving licence there either. The whole LEGO® City zone is more for kids.

LAND OF ADEVENTURE
Get ready to fire laser blasters at targets and brave the ancient Egyptian-themed landscape. We rode a boat in and shoot targets.

IMAGINATION
Participate in build-and-play activities, watch thrilling 4D movies, see the entire LEGOLAND® aboard the Observation Tower. Yes, we watched the Spellbreaker in 4D because we need to hide from the burning hot sun. We also board the Observation Tower for a bird eye view of the whole place.

LEGO® KINGDOMS
Conquer The Dragon coaster, romp through The Forestmen's Hideout and ride astride the Royal Joust!

LEGO® TECHNIC®
Brave razor-shape turns and drops on The Project X! Then, power-ski on AQUAZONE® Wave Racers while frantically dodging blast after blast of water!

MINILAND
Explore a world made of LEGO® bricks! See LEGO models of famous landmarks of Malaysia. Singapore and other Asian countries. Took a lot of photos here but felt a bit dehydrated so never really check the quality of the photos. Cony and Brown makes perfect models for photo taking here. How many famous landmark can you identify? Only selected photos are posted up here.

LEGO® STAR WARS MINILAND
Newly opened this year. It's a whole new indoor, fully air-conditioned model display exhibition. Not a star wars fan but need the air-con. So may the force be with you!

Random photos before we exit the theme park.

We had a splashing fun time at the LEGOLAND® Water Park with over 20 body slides and tube slides and other tons of interactive water activities. No photos taken as we kept our phones in the locker but this is more fun and really appreciate the water in this weather.

Our dinner.

Our locker that serves us the whole day and finally the 1 hour jam. Was too tired and fall asleep through the jam. A nice experience overall and one day is enough to cover both the theme park and water park. Kids would love this place.
