[Movie] Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is the 3rd and final installment of the Night at the Museum trilogy. Decided to catch this light-hearted movie and make it my first movie of 2015. Directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Dan Stevens, Rebel Wilson and Ben Kingsley, most of them are the old casts.

In this final sequel, we get a flashback scene to 1938 showing how this magical tablet of Ahkmenrah was originally found. This tablet of Ahkmenrah possess the power to bring the exhibits to life during the night as we already known from the first Night at the Museum movie. Back to modern days, the tablet seems to be corroding and the exhibits begins to lost control of themselves and created a chaos during a grand dinner event.

Only the parents of Ahkmenrah knew the secret behind the tablet but they were placed at the British Museum in London. So Larry, together with the usual group of exhibits of New York went into the British Museum in London at night to find out how to restore the tablet back to its original form. It was quite an adventurous encounter as the exhibits of the British Museum came alive for the first time. Eventually, after some fights and actions, they found Ahkmenrah parents at the Egypt section. It was revealed that in order for the tablet to be restored, the moonlight has got to shine on it. They managed to get it restored but at the end, they've decided to place the tablet at the British Museum where it truly belongs. The exhibits at New York went back and bid Larry their last goodbye.

New wax figure named Laa who was created to look like Larry together with the security of the British Museum in London, Tilly. One of the funny scene.

RATING : 4.5/5

Love this movie, I've always enjoyed watching how the museum came alive. The magical moment when historical statues and even paintings started moving and interacting with one another. Not only that, there are many funny scenes in this movie that will make you burst out laughing. Suitable for all ages. At the end of the movie, there is a dedication to both Robin Williams and Mickey Rooney as both actors died before the movie was release.

First time setting foot here at 112 Katong. This shopping mall smells nice and is mostly carpeted. Quite nice even if it's just window shopping.

Forgo the popcorn and had yogurt ice-cream before the movie.

Shared dinner at 328 Katong Laksa because we wanted to try other food. Will blog about that in my next post. Stay tuned.
