Hello everybody!
My Taiwan journey with my family is starting soon and I'm counting down now. Don't think I will have time to blog tomorrow cause I'll be leaving for the airport soon after work, so I better do it now. Hehe. My Jetstar flight is schedule at midnight tomorrow and we will reached Taoyuan International Airport in the morning at 6am on 3rd July if there's no flight delay. Excited max! I did quite a lot of preparations this time round since it's a Free and Easy trip organised by me. Have been saying how much I wanted to bring my parents to an overseas trip for too long and I always ended up going overseas with my friends, so I felt kind of guilty. They didn't even board a plane before and tomorrow will be their first time boarding a plane! Haha. So, yes they are more nervous than me. Everything from flights to accommodations is on budget since I'm the one treating. This trip is also a big birthday present for my father which falls on 3rd July!

Share a tip to people travelling to Taiwan soon. Just print out your flight and accommodations confirmation, bring them to the Taiwan Visitors Association in exchange for freebies! The freebies vary monthly and we gotten 5 complimentary Taiwan EasyCards and two booklets of amusements park vouchers for the month of June. The Taiwan EasyCards can be used for the Taipei MRT and city bus transportation and small purchases at 7-Eleven, Hi-Life, FamilyMart and OK convenience stores. Quite similar to our EZ-link cards. Anyway, the Taiwan Visitors Association are opened only from Monday to Friday and below is their address and opening hours.If you are working like me, you may need to get someone to collect on your behalf.

Important thing to bring other than passport is $$$MONEY$$$! Both my mum and bro did the money exchanging at Clementi but both of them got different rates. Mum did the exchange with the Chinese Money Exchange for a rate of 1 : 22.80 while my brother exchange the money with an Indian Money Exchange and he got better rates at 1 : 23! I made a loss of TWD 200 which is about SGD 8. Lol. Ok, I don't want to be too calculative over this small matters. Now it's time to pack my luggage! Blog again in a week's time!
