Tron: Legacy at The Cathay Cineplex [Nuffnang Event]

So delighted to have won a pair of premier tickets from Nuffnang for this year's most spectacular 3D action packed adventure set in a digital scene. Was rushing for time as the e-mail stated that the tickets collections will ends at 6.45pm SHARP. However, at 6.30pm, I'm still at the office rushing some work. So I sent a SMS to Shan who is in charge of this event and told her my situation. After a few smses, she told me that she would placed the tickets under my name with the person at the entrance. Relieved to know that I can still be able to make it so I told bf to meet me there. He is also rushing for time and being more anxious he took a cab down and reaches there earlier than me. Asked him to just go and collect the tickets on my behalf under my name, who knows he said the person at the entrance told him that there's no such reservation. Sms Shan again and she said either cinema 2, 6 or 7 something like that. By intuition, I went over to the counter of another event that is also giving out TRON movie tickets as well. Trying my luck, I asked whether is it the Nuffnang event, the lady replied that the Nuffnang people has left already. Maybe I looked super disappointed, the guy immediately hand me a pair of tickets and told me to just take it. I was surprised and abit worried whether other people would come and claim the tickets or not. Before I even get to find out what event that was, I overheard another guy asking about the Nuffnang counter too. Didn't stay on to hear whether he received the tickets from them or not though.  

Feeling damn lucky that we didn't make a wasted trip down. BIG BIG thanks to the guy who is so kind. 

Before we went into the theater, we have to deposit all electronic devices like hand phone, camera, MP3 player etc. I surrendered my handphone but forget to give him my MP3 player and camera. At the entrance, the security did a search and found the MP3 Player and asked me to bring it to level 1. I did I gave a "can don't want or not" face to him and so he let me in and said something like this time only. Lucky again to met another kind and flexible person. 

THE MOVIE

Shall not say much about the storyline since it can be found easily on the internet. This movie is generally like the movie "The Matrix" for it's about the battle between human beings and the computer program. I am quite disappointed with this movie for its weak plot and draggy storyline. I actually finds it a boring movie and nearly fall asleep halfway the movie. The 3D effect also did not add much points to the visual aspect. I think the only exciting part is to see the user and the program clad in tight fitting, glow in the dark suits fights by throwing a disc attached to their back like playing Frisbee. Sadly, I also did not enjoyed the ending.

We were the last group to take a photo with them. Just as they were about to leave, the person-in-charge asked whether is it we wanted to take a photo with them, so we say "Yup, of course." With that, they went back to pose again. This photo is so funny. Look at how slanted bf stood. He's probably nervous standing beside the pretty lady with "weapon" in her hand.

Didn't know that they've provided free popcorns and drinks inside the theater, so we bought our own too. Ended up with so many collectible drinks cup and and one packet of popcorn. On the way back home, informed Shan that I didn't get the tickets she reserved for me. Not trying to blame her as it was so crowded that day and I think the whole cinema is showing TRON but just to let her know in case she thought I didn't went and blacklist me for future events. :P
